Fabulous stay in Menorca. Our first holiday abroad with children ( aged 3 & 1). The staff: Without exception all the staff at Viva Menorca work incredibly hard. They are all ( reception, waiters, waitresses, cleaners & entertainers) so welcoming and friendly. The entertainment staff deserve a special mention. They are lovely with the children & make every effort to involve all the children with the activities. The food: We used the all inclusive option and it seemed very good value. We were very impressed with the quality and selection of foods on offer. Plenty of choice for a vegetarian, a carnivore and 2 fussy children. Great for encouraging the children to try new foods. The pool snack bar was perfect for lunch. Children are well catered for with lots of highchairs, children's cutlery, plates & bowls in restaurant. Drinks selection was great. Bottled water was readily available all day & easy to get cups of milk for our toddler. The pools: Splash pool was fab for preschoolers / non swimmers. The pirate slides were a real hit. The pool isn't heated so babies would need a wetsuit to keep warm. Fine for everyone else once over the initial shock. The main pool is bigger & ideal for swimming. Both were very clean. Entertainment & play areas: We used the activities in the mini club a few times. Our little girl had fun & great way to encourage her to take a break from running around in the sun. The bouncy castle & slides in the bar area were a real hit. The evening entertainment was better than I expected. We really enjoyed it & children loved the mini disco. The rooms: Our room was clean & well equipped. It was fairly basic & the air con didn't work that well but we spent so little time in the room this wasn't an issue. Location: A bit of a walk to the harbour & beach but this was only really an issue in the heat of the day. We used the little tourist train for one trip.
The best thing about my stay was...The pool & the entertainments

This is the third time we have stayed Viva Menorca. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is really good in both the snack bar & restaurant; we found it hard to decide which one to use during the day. The pool can get busy during the day but we always managed to get a sunbed. As we were leaving they got a delivery of brand new sunbeds and they started putting them out. The manager of the hotel is such a nice guy and made us feel very welcome. We always hire a car and get out and about, we have been to many different places around the world but we always return to Menorca as we find it hard to beat. In a nutshell Viva Menorca = Fantastic Holiday! P.S If you like gin make sure you try a “Pomada”

This was my first time in menorca. Travelled with my friend and 2 children aged 11 and 1. The hotel was beautiful and kept to a very high standard. Staff were always carrying out maintenance work/cleaning to ensure it kept it's high standard. Room was great and air conditioning ever better as it was so hot. We stayed on a half board basis which was very good, but if going again I wld go for all inclusive as snacks/drinks during the day could be expensive. The food was lovely, always plenty to choose from. The entertainment for the kids was fab, always something for them to do. There were plenty of sunlounger by the pool, there was never a time where you couldn't get one. The pool was massive and perfect to dip in to get away from the blaring heat. The hotel was about a 10 min walk to the beach/marina. Ideally I would have liked to be closer to this, but I wouldn't have compromised on the hotel. Would highly recommend to people of all ages, but especially families.
The best thing about my stay was...everything about the hotel. luved it!

Fantastic Family Holiday
Lorna and Andy, Bolton
This was our first holiday abroad with our 20mth old baby boy. The accommodation was definately better than expected, although we weren't expecting the 4 euro per night charge for a pre booked cot. The food was great, and useful to know that if we provided notice we could swap our evening meal for a lunch (we were half board). All the staff were brilliant, but reception could provide more information on arrival, such as details of buses to the city and directions to beach and Marina.
The best thing about my stay was...The restaurant, had great variety and the 2euro per person each evening for unlimited drinks was great.

I picked this holiday on the spare of the moment,My cousin and I are late 60s and this for us albeit we are extremely active , was an amazing holiday, beaches close enough to walk to and ample transport to various towns and beaches, the resort itself was second to none , food, entertainment, indoor and outdoor facilities too numerous to mention,The staff were friendly and helpful .We had a lovely time and say a big thankyou to all the staff at Viva Menorca and hello to the couples we had the pleasure of meeting whilst we were there, 4/11 october 2014.
The best thing about my stay was...I couldn't name but one as it was all excellent

Very impressed. Great location. Ideal for younger kids. Pirate pool great fun, big pool lovely. Snack bar food superb, all inclusive drinks selection superb. Expensive though if you go self catering. It's 48 euro per adult and 24 per child 3-12 if you want to upgrade when you get there (3 day min and it has to be for the remainder of your hols ie last 3 days not 1st 3 days). Very clean. Rooms are adequate, we found them a bit small, a 2 bed apmt would have suited our needs better but they don't do them! Maids came 5 days out of 7 and did a sterling job. Kitchen not big enough to do anything in really apart from tea and toast! 2 little play areas one with a bouncy castle which my kids loved. It's very safe and friendly. Restaurant good really good, some of the food, as with all "all inclusives" doesn't look that good at first but it tastes great. Children's entertainers really lovely, they work so hard. The disco was 8-830 then the adults show at 9- we saw African acrobats which we're amazing and Brazilian dancers which were great too, the singing acts were a bit cheesy but good fun. Kudos to them all for giving it their all even to small audience. Hotel shuts mid October and this was evident in that it was quiet, but it appears the whole of calan Bosch shuts as well as it was so quiet, although we had a good couple of meals in the marina ( no more than 10 min walk). All in all a fantastic holiday, a great all inclusive hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...The pirate pool and the play area with bouncy castle made my little ones laugh all day long

Lovely hotel, great for kids. Really friendly staff and helpful. Reasonably priced for a weeks self catering, only slight problems were ants on the room last couple of days and a dripping air con unit.
The best thing about my stay was...Children's pool and entertain, walking distance to marina and beach.

Lovely family holiday
Icyfeet, Cheshire, uk
Enjoyed our time here. Pools were great as was the entertainment. Food was a little samey from day to day (lots of fried foods) but snack bar was good. Let down by no lifts and having to lug 2 pushchairs upstairs at least 4 times a day! Also kids could open the door as there was no internal lock, which became a real issue with my 2 year old! Lots of local supermarkets over the road. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and missed the complex when we came home!
The best thing about my stay was...The kids pool kept my kids thoroughly entertained

Great place for families with young children. Food good standard. Rooms a little dated and need of modernisation. No drinks or toilets available around children's splash pool. You have to cross over a road to main pool area.
The best thing about my stay was...staff and children's facilities
