We arrived in to Penn Station and the hotel was just around the corner. 10 mins walk to Times Square. Rooms a bit on the small side but very clean. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful.

Nice hotel, good location

Hotel is in great location, rooms on the small side, staff friendly. Just watch out on the wifi service as before you know it you are signed up for premium service rather than free. Would stay again.

Especially for anyone arriving at Penn Station to stay in the city, the New Yorker is ideal - just make sure you come out right exit from station. Easy walking distance 5th Avenue, Broadway, Empire State Building, Macys. Tick Tock Diner ideal for breakfast.

Excellent location and nice room with comfortable bed
Anne Kavanagh, Dublin 4
Stayed in New Yorker in March with my partner and we both loved the location, the room was small but very comfortable bed. The tick tock diner which is open 24 hrs serves nice food so handy for breakfast or a late night bite. Staff nice enough but household much friendlier and kept room spotless. Would be nice though to have tea/coffee making facilities but would definitely stay there again.
The best thing about my stay was...location and great transport to get around on your doorstep

a bite of the big apple

Emerging from Penn station, the New Yorker right on the corner and the Empire State building in clear view down the street: what a fabulous start to a great stay. Our comfortable room had a view of the Hudson river and was surprisingly quiet. The location was superb: just a few minutes walk from Times Square and all the action, and close to excellent transport links. Breakfast in the diner was definitely an all-American experience. I would strongly recommend the New Yorker to anyone.
The best thing about my stay was...Breakfast in the Diner.

really enyoyed our stay at the new yorker, excellent location, minutes away from Macy's, old navy, h&m etc, empire state building, times square, madisson square gardens is across the road, bus station to jersey gardens up d road, .staff were friendly and there is a desk in the lobby that provide direct service to all the airports, we travelled with 2 other couples to jfk in a very fancy well air conditioned jeep $50 for the 2 of us we paid $51 in a cramped hot yellow cab from the airport, deffo worth booking!! room cleaning every day if u want it, room was small but didn't bother us in the slightest, who goes to New York to stay in their room, this hotel was recommended to us by a friend and we would highly recommend it to others, don't use room phone to call toll free numbers cos we were charged for the pleasure of doing so, cheeky really considering it was a free phone nu,ber!! there is a $1 per bag charge to leave ur bags in a room after u check out, tick tock restaurant is dear enough for the food u get, we had brekkie outside the hotel instead.

Great Location, Comfortable Bed, Great View
Corrinne Cameron, Glasgow, Scotland
Check in was quick and easy, lovely lobby, requested a room with a view and got one - looked right onto empire state building and MSG was at RHS. Room was on 28th floor room no 2824. Room was small and basic but decor was nice. It was all you needed in a room as you do not spend much time in it. Just a base to lay your head at night and most importantly for this was a comfy bed and the New Yorker definately gives you that. Our bed at home isnt even as comfy!! Black out curtains also which was a bonus. Air con in room was slightly on the noisey side but didnt bother us for long as you are so tired you are not awake for long! Best thing apart from the comfy bed was the location of the hotel, subway right outside the door, empire state a 10min walk, TMSQ a 15min walk, plenty of food and drink places available on your doorstep and so many shops, Macy's less than a 5min walk! Would reccommend this hotel to everyone and would definately book to stay there again.
The best thing about my stay was...The View from our room, central location

Ideal hotel in an ideal spot
Derek Hill, Zurich
Perfectly adequate hotel. Right next to Madsion Square Garden and walking distance of Empire State Building and Times Square - if you are prepared to walk ten blocks - it doesn't take long. One negative. Three of our group were ill during the week. Clearly not the hotel's fault but on the last day we asked for a late checkout so my unwell son could stay in the room a little longer rather than sitting in the foyer. They charged us USD75 for three hours (Over $80 with tax). Their decision - but after paying for two rooms for seven nights it did seem a little churlish under the circumstances.
The best thing about my stay was...Situation of the hotel
