So So

The hotel is not signposted, so if you are going. suggest you either have the hotel send a car to the airport or you need to know its the road opposite Subway. The accomodation itself was somewhat tired, and dont think a cottage is an upgrade, my friends were in a double room and theirs was more updated than my cottage. I would leave my room with the fan on, and often come back to find the power switch was turned off, so fridge was not cold and room was roasting. Staff were all smiley and polite, especially the chap looking after the pool and area. The breakfasts were as basic as it comes, you get included a tiny tinned glass of fruitjuice, and you get to make yourself tea/coffee and there are 2 toasters bread, butter, jam and marmalade. Everything else is extra, not expensive BUT to me thats not the point. The taxi rank outside the hotel were helpful but best to negotiate a good price before taking one, although by english standards its very cheap anyway. There was annual 'banana festival' mid week for 1 week, right next door to the hotel, I was not told about this by the hotel before or during my stay and was woken to indian loudpeakers playing indian music at 7am just behind my cottage, i asked if i could be moved and the management did move me, it was better but now i was right by the main road leading to the festival so i had to listen to beeping horns litterally all night, the second room was also smaller, but i was grateful to be moved. I think it was poor show for us not to be told about this in advance. I would not class this as a 3* resort, 2* at most. But for the price i paid i cant really complain. Would i recommend it, well if you want a quiet (avoid the banana festival) hotel, just far enough off the main drag but close enough if you want to walk or taxi to lively places.
