Geared up for family fun
Disneyland Paris has brought the magic of Walt Disney to the outskirts of Paris. Take your family to the land where dreams can come true. There are two parks – Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios, with an exciting range of zones waiting to be discovered. The park has seven Disney hotels as well as over 50 places to eat. The whole area is geared up for family fun.
Race Lightning McQueen
The Disneyland Park has 5 exciting zones including Frontierland, home to the renowned and terrifying Big Thunder Mountain. Fantasyland is where Disney’s favourite characters come to life – perhaps spend an afternoon with Peter Pan. Budding Jedi Knights will love Discoveryland and the Jedi Academy. Walt Disney Studios helps bring the movie business to life. Take the studio tour and see how films are created. Younger children will love the Toon Studios – head to Cars Quatre Roues Rallye and line alongside Lightning McQueen in a thrilling race.
Walk along Main Street
The whole park has a magical feel. Children will thrill at the sight of their favourite characters as they walk along Main Street USA. Fans of Sleeping Beauty can marvel at the incredible light display of the Disney Dream show with the famous castle as the backdrop. It is not necessary to stay in one of the themed Disney hotels, park tickets can be purchased separately and you may choose to enjoy the delights of nearby Paris as part of your visit.
Things to do in Disneyland Paris
Eat and drink in Disneyland Paris
There are over 50 places to eat and drink within Disneyland Paris. You can eat your way around the world if you choose to. There are themed restaurants such as Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon, perfect for a chow down with the family. The children will love the wagons and the cowboy themed décor. Many of the hotels offer meal packages which may mean all your dining is taken care of. The parks also offer a good range of places for you to take a break with coffee and a piece of cake. For a slice of Mad Men, head to the New York Bar within the Disney New York Hotel. The wood panelled bar is a great place to unwind after a day of park activity.
If you really want to eat well, try Paris. It’s a short distance away by train from Marne la Vallée.
Disneyland Paris nightlife
Disneyland Paris is probably not the number one party destination. Families will enjoy the restaurants and bars within the hotels but you are not going to find Goofy and Buzz Lightyear rocking the night away. If you need a slice of real life you can hit the bright lights of Paris, easily reached by taxi or train. Be warned, the parks open early and the children will want you there so don’t overdo it.
Shopping in Disneyland Paris
As you would imagine, the shopping opportunities in Disney are endless but mostly Disney themed. If you want the latest Elsa outfit or need a Woody to go with Buzz then the Disney Village is the place to head. If you don’t want to spend any more money than you already have you might like to steer the kids away from the village. The flea markets and boulevards of Paris are littered with high end fashion boutiques and jewellers if the need to shop over powers you.
Things to see in Disneyland Paris
The two parks combined have such a wide range of rides and interactive experiences that it can be difficult to squeeze it all in. There are some rides and events that stand out above the rest and it is a good idea to plan your day around them. Arrive early, be prepared to queue and enjoy it all! The daily Disney Magic on Parade is a must – you get the chance to see all your favourite characters as they pass by. The Disney Dream show held in front of Sleeping Beauties Castle is memorable and stunning. For a spot of thrill seeking the classic Big Thunder Mountain is always hard to beat in Frontierland. Horror fans will enjoy the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Finish off your trip with a personal meet ‘n’ greet with the man himself, Mickey Mouse.
Call in to the Village and sample the famous American Breakfast complete with pancakes and maple syrup. Your breakfast will arrive on roller skates as the waitresses carefully glide their way to your booth.
Lunch with Disney Princes & Princesses
Set in the beautiful Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland, this is a real wonderland experience. Your favourite fairy tale characters are on hand as you enjoy a magical evening meal. This needs to be booked in advance.
Stay in the Disneyland Hotel
Treat yourself to a stay at the enchanting Disneyland Hotel – a beautiful building right at the heart of the park. The magic of Disney is all around and the family will thrill at the little details like the grand Mickey Mouse clock tower.

Perfect location for Disney
Staff were polite and helpful. Free use of luggage room and shuttle service were life savers. Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Sadly the foyer was under refurbishment so didn’t look like the photos and have that full on circus theme but the Disney parks made up for that. Definitely would stay again.
The best thing about my stay was...Free shuttle to Disney & breakfast

Okay hotel but i'd avoid due to the shuttle bus
The hotel is okay, it's currently under refurbishment (March 2017) but I can forgive that. The hotels was clean, staff friendly etc. It caters well for children arcades in reception and bunk beds in the room. The food in the restaurant was decent and fairly priced. The hotels advertises a "spa" on the website, its a pool with a therapist on hand but not a spa. It's a nice pool and again is good for kids but if you're expecting a sauna and steam room etc like in a spa you'd be disappointed. However i'd be avoiding this hotel in the future due to the horrendous shuttle bus. It's carnage no matter what time of day. We had a 4 year old with us and he was being pushed all over by adults. Not one person offered him a seat and it was 15 to 20 minute journey on a "stretchy" bus that in England we only really see at airports not doing 70mph down the motorway. My son had to either stand or we had to carry him, either way it was frightening for a 4 year old. There's a real stampede when the bus arrives due to how overcrowded it is with numerous people having to wait for the next one. The next bus is often the same overcrowded nightmare. The driver even came along and pushed passengers into the bus on one occasion. We resorted to getting a taxi but that was 25 Euro one way when you consider one of the reasons for booking this hotel is the free convenient shuttle its annoying to have to resort to taxis. All social etiquette and decency goes out of the window when on that bus it was awful. We stayed for 3 nights, the plan was always day 1 arrive and visit pool, day 2 Disneyland, day 3 centre of Paris. If I was booking this trip again I would stay in the centre of Paris and just get the metro out for that one day it takes about 45 minutes from centre and we'd avoid that bus.
The best thing about my stay was...Getting a taxi

Great family hotel
Lovely connecting rooms, ideal for larger families. The bar in the evening was very small, and not enough staff. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The best thing about my stay was...The brightly coloured rooms, the swimming pool was great,.

Good for the price, but room service weas awful
We got this room for a bargain, so can't complain about that and were put in a more 'adult' room as we were not travelling with children. However, the room service in quality, price and service was awful. So bad in fact, that we refused to pay for a meal, as it was 2 hours late.
The best thing about my stay was...The breakfast is pretty good, if a little busy

Great - With a few problems
Michelle kidd, Northern Ireland
WE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL AND FOUND VERY FEW PROBLEMS - THE FIRST NIGHT IT WAS ABSOLUTELY ROASTING IN THE ROOM THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE MUCH SLEEP WITH THE HEAT. MY SON CUT HIS HAND ON THE STONE ON THE POOL AND ALSO WHEN WE CAME HOME WE HAD ITEMS MISSING FROM OUR LUGGAGE SO THAT HAS MADE ME UNSURE ABOUT STAYING AGAIN AS I HAVE READ A FEW COMMENTS ON DIFFERENT WEB PAGES ABOUT STUFF MISSING
The best thing about my stay was...Easy to get to dlp

We had a nice stay here, most of the staff were very polite and helpful except for the the barman, we were waiting for him to finish serving a customer for about 10 minutes, he finished serving the customer and then proceeded to totally ignore us and start having a laugh and joke with another member of staff that had come up to the bar, then it was like we were invisible because he went to serve another customer who had come to the bar after us, we just walked away in disgust, our beds were " made" every day but we discovered that the maids were just pulling the duvet over and when we pulled the duvet back at night the sheets underneathe hadn't been touched, we paid for a standard double room but what we got was a double room with a double bed and bunk beds as well and a door adjoining the next room, the furniture in the room has seen better days it was a bit scruffy but everything was clean
The best thing about my stay was...The breakfast

Had a lovely stay at Magic circus. We did arrive early around 10am, and couldn't check in early but was able to pop our belongings in the luggage room. Check in was efficient, and staff friendly. We had a family room, and was clean, and perfect for everything that we needed. I really like the added feature of the curtain around the bunk beds, so could separate the double bed and the kids beds, which had there own light and tv! Hairdryer was also in room, and usually hotel hairdryers don't have much power, and are useless, but this was just like my own so I did use this instead for convenience. We used the swimming pool facilities on the first day, and highly recommend especially for the little ones, and towels were provided, free lockers. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and tables, and really enjoyed. Hotel had lots of things dotted around for kids to play with, and constantly saw staff cleaning all these areas, which was nice to see. Hotel is around 5mins free shuttle bus, and there's one every 15 mins I believe, can be a bit of a mad rush at times, we did have a pushchair so was bit more of a pain for us getting on, but we only ever had to let one go once. You won't be disappointed if you stay here especially for the money compared to the official Disney hotels. The only thing I would say is, when we was looking to check in early it was a generic too early, it could be a case by case basis, if your allocated room is ready then bonus! But would of been appreciated if the lady had a look if she could check us in early, but I 100% understand that this is not always possible and the 3pm check in is there for a reason.
The best thing about my stay was...Cleanness, friendliness, facilities
