Geared up for family fun
Disneyland Paris has brought the magic of Walt Disney to the outskirts of Paris. Take your family to the land where dreams can come true. There are two parks – Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios, with an exciting range of zones waiting to be discovered. The park has seven Disney hotels as well as over 50 places to eat. The whole area is geared up for family fun.
Race Lightning McQueen
The Disneyland Park has 5 exciting zones including Frontierland, home to the renowned and terrifying Big Thunder Mountain. Fantasyland is where Disney’s favourite characters come to life – perhaps spend an afternoon with Peter Pan. Budding Jedi Knights will love Discoveryland and the Jedi Academy. Walt Disney Studios helps bring the movie business to life. Take the studio tour and see how films are created. Younger children will love the Toon Studios – head to Cars Quatre Roues Rallye and line alongside Lightning McQueen in a thrilling race.
Walk along Main Street
The whole park has a magical feel. Children will thrill at the sight of their favourite characters as they walk along Main Street USA. Fans of Sleeping Beauty can marvel at the incredible light display of the Disney Dream show with the famous castle as the backdrop. It is not necessary to stay in one of the themed Disney hotels, park tickets can be purchased separately and you may choose to enjoy the delights of nearby Paris as part of your visit.
Things to do in Disneyland Paris
Eat and drink in Disneyland Paris
There are over 50 places to eat and drink within Disneyland Paris. You can eat your way around the world if you choose to. There are themed restaurants such as Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon, perfect for a chow down with the family. The children will love the wagons and the cowboy themed décor. Many of the hotels offer meal packages which may mean all your dining is taken care of. The parks also offer a good range of places for you to take a break with coffee and a piece of cake. For a slice of Mad Men, head to the New York Bar within the Disney New York Hotel. The wood panelled bar is a great place to unwind after a day of park activity.
If you really want to eat well, try Paris. It’s a short distance away by train from Marne la Vallée.
Disneyland Paris nightlife
Disneyland Paris is probably not the number one party destination. Families will enjoy the restaurants and bars within the hotels but you are not going to find Goofy and Buzz Lightyear rocking the night away. If you need a slice of real life you can hit the bright lights of Paris, easily reached by taxi or train. Be warned, the parks open early and the children will want you there so don’t overdo it.
Shopping in Disneyland Paris
As you would imagine, the shopping opportunities in Disney are endless but mostly Disney themed. If you want the latest Elsa outfit or need a Woody to go with Buzz then the Disney Village is the place to head. If you don’t want to spend any more money than you already have you might like to steer the kids away from the village. The flea markets and boulevards of Paris are littered with high end fashion boutiques and jewellers if the need to shop over powers you.
Things to see in Disneyland Paris
The two parks combined have such a wide range of rides and interactive experiences that it can be difficult to squeeze it all in. There are some rides and events that stand out above the rest and it is a good idea to plan your day around them. Arrive early, be prepared to queue and enjoy it all! The daily Disney Magic on Parade is a must – you get the chance to see all your favourite characters as they pass by. The Disney Dream show held in front of Sleeping Beauties Castle is memorable and stunning. For a spot of thrill seeking the classic Big Thunder Mountain is always hard to beat in Frontierland. Horror fans will enjoy the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Finish off your trip with a personal meet ‘n’ greet with the man himself, Mickey Mouse.
Call in to the Village and sample the famous American Breakfast complete with pancakes and maple syrup. Your breakfast will arrive on roller skates as the waitresses carefully glide their way to your booth.
Lunch with Disney Princes & Princesses
Set in the beautiful Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland, this is a real wonderland experience. Your favourite fairy tale characters are on hand as you enjoy a magical evening meal. This needs to be booked in advance.
Stay in the Disneyland Hotel
Treat yourself to a stay at the enchanting Disneyland Hotel – a beautiful building right at the heart of the park. The magic of Disney is all around and the family will thrill at the little details like the grand Mickey Mouse clock tower.

Great hotel, would definitely recommend.
Claire, United Kingdom
Great hotel, very big and not far from Disneyland. The shuttle bus is every 10 minutes, takes 10 minutes to get to the park and free. Rooms are nice, clean and of a good standard too (not tired). As a bonus the room was ready early also, so no hanging around. Only downside was 4 coat hangers and 4 trouser hangers for the 4 of us. We were there for 5 nights, as we also went to Paris centre, and it really wasn't enough for us. We asked for an iron however and it was delivered to the room within 15 minutes. The pool was also very nice! Good value, nice breakfast and clean!
The best thing about my stay was...Clean and child friendly.

Whistle stop visit to Disney
Kellbelle, Essex - England
Stayed here for the first time for two nights in November for a quick trip to Disney. Lovely themed hotel. Spacious bedroom (with tea and coffee), friendly staff. Good variety of food at breakfast. Lovely grounds and seemed to have plenty of facilities (we just didn't use them). Shuttle bus to parks runs regularly. Would definitely stay here again.
The best thing about my stay was...The theme

We've just returned from our short visit to Disney and the Dream Castle and the whole trip was great. We arrived quite early in the day (check in wasn't until 3pm) but the staff were very accommodating: they pre checked us in and stored our suitcases so that all wee needed to do was to collect the room key after visiting the park. We had a quick bite to eat in the bar (recommend the chicken in focaccia) before waiting for the bus. The number 54 takes you to Disney in less than 10 minutes and runs on a regular basis until around 11pm ( if you want to buy drinks without paying too much inside the park then there is a Tabac inside the station that's half the price). The breakfast in the hotel was really nice, there was hot food, selection of cheeses and hams, cereals and more! Once our room number was given we were taken over to a cleaned table, and there was plenty of food still at 10:30 before they stopped the service at 11am. We didn't eat any evening meals in the hotel but I believe they did a buffet service in the evening. The rooms were very clean and we didn't need the room to be cleaned straight away and left the little bag that comes on your door outside, returning to find L'Occitane mini's as a thank you! The bathroom had L'Occitane Verbena hand and shower gels which was a very nice touch. The little gift shop in the hotel is perfect to buy bits if you want to stock up, as the selection is pretty much the same as the park stores. For the price that we paid for the hotel and flights, I was very impressed with the hotel and the employees as they were all very polite and would definitely recommend the Dream Castle to anyone visiting Disney, and if we had stayed longer we would have visited the Outlet village and there was a private service that could be booked from the hotel to take you there.
The best thing about my stay was...Clean, welcoming, great location for Disney and great value for money

Improved service and this would be better
Overall we had a lovely stay in this hotel. Check in (late at night with 3 small children) took rather a long time as there was a queue. Our room was very far away from reception and lovely and quiet. Clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Except for a cot that was requested on arrival for my 1 year old. By midnight he was so very tired and upset. We had to phone twice and waited an hour for this to be delivered. Not really acceptable. Some mix up with communication about the room key not working if you take it into the park and needing to be handed in. Then it didn't. Lifts out of order at one point. A sign to tell us this would have been helpful. Breakfast adequate, sometimes couldn't keep up with demand. To be honest we were literally at the hotel to sleep and eat breakfast and for the price we paid we were more than happy with what we received.
The best thing about my stay was...Cleanliness and size of family room

Just had 5 nights in Dream Castle. Stayed in family room. Very spacious and great amenities. Fabulous for kids. Great location for Disneyland. Free shuttle bus 54 runs every 20 mins to park and returns as late as 1.am so you won't miss Disney Dreams. Breakfast buffet good selection but busy at peak times. Not an issue but be prepared. Great pool for kids and jacuzzi. Nice outdoor spaces to sit and relax and a lake to walk around. Would definitely return to this hotel. Excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
The best thing about my stay was...Great location and rooms

Just got back today from 3 nights, was fantastic, super clean, unlimited tea and coffee in the rooms, maids in everyday - location amazing - almost next door to Disney hotels and parks. Didn't eat here other than brekki which was great, get in early tho as gets busy. Cheaper to eat in Disney village or val d Europe
The best thing about my stay was...Location, clean comfy spacious rooms, great shower

Lovely hotel, bedrooms, restaurant and staff all excellent. The reason it hasn't got a 10 is because drinks are expensive although it's like that everywhere in Disney, we ordered 2 teas after the dinner buffet and got charged 10 euros, a bit steep for a cup of water and a teabag. Breakfast was very nice and the kids loved the ball pit in reception. A special mention for Issa who was great with the kids. Stayed in Santa Fe a couple of times in the past and Kyriad last year but no comparison to this hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...Clean family friendly hotel
