Pins in 2011 what a difference
We are 4 weeks back from 2 lovely weeks in the alcudia pins hotel, staff excellent and helpful as they were last year, cleanliness again as last year fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for the staff of this hotel, right on the most fab beach, with great pool and evening entertainment. But will we return the answer to that is NO the reason for this is 2 travel companies have booked out over 400 of the 500 rooms (mostly all inclusive) for the whole season and as someone who booked directly with the hotel and was not informed of this our 5 and half year old son was not allowed join the kids clubs which he and we were very upset and annoyed about, 40 minute wait at burger pins or pizza restuarant at lunch time, the same at the bar at night and also for ice creams at the pool and this was in the low season last 2 weeks of may. By the end of our stay the queues were longer so can only imagine that this will get worse. This is their first time to do all inclusive so maybe they have not increased their staff for the extra guests this would probably lessen the queues. All in all these were the only faults, on a positive note it was nice to see that the prices in the restaurants outside the hotel have gone down this year and would highly recommend the one in the middle which also does take away too which was lovely. If you are going to this hotel you will have a fab time and dont miss the market in the old town on Tuesdays and Sundays its great. Just thought you should be warned about the queues.
The best thing about my stay was...The staff and beach

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with 12 and 14 year old boys. Alcudia Pins was very clean, daily maid service and towel change which was excellent. Beautiful pool and easy access to the beach. Good sporting facilities, pizzeria on site, burger pins closed while we were there.
The best thing about my stay was...Close to the beach

Great Holiday for Kids - v small apartments
dermot burke, Galway, Ireland
The apartment complex is huge. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 7. The apartments were tiny. We booked a one bedroom apartment and you couldnt even fit a cot in the bedroom. We also had an awful problem with ants from the first day we arrived. I complained, they sprayed the apartment most days but said they were booked out and couldnt move us. We were in block A. We went self catering and was delighted as there was a queue for the restaurant out the door at meal times. The resort was great for kids. Great pool slide which they went up and down for two hours every day. They loved the kids camp, staff were excellent. Night entertainment was they same as everywhere else. It was a bonus that we were on the beech. Activities in the resort was excellent and always something to do. No noise after midnight. It was fantastic and the only downfall was the size of the apartment and the ants.
The best thing about my stay was...we were on the beech

Long Weekend Break
Kershaw's on Tour, United Kingdom
Location cannot be bettered, right on the beach. We had a two bedroomed appartment - sea view towards Alcudia Puerto; the room was cleaned every day, cooking facilities in the room are basic 2 hot rings and a microwave so for longer s/c stays food/menu options will be restricted. The pools, bars and main areas were all very clean and staff very friendly. As this was a long weekend trip and taking into account the time of year (May Bank holiday) it was very quiet and only a few of the accommodation blocks were in use. We expect that in the height of the season it will be very busy and sunbeds and space will be at a premium. You are quite a distance from Alcudia or C'an Picafort and require a car, taxi +/or buses to get about. There are a few restaurants within walkng distance and would recommend the Pizza Trattoria just past Eden Playa Hotel, the service and food were excellent. There is entertainment for children and adults throughout the day and in the evening. We would not hesitate to return.

The place is nice and well maintained and clean. Situated right on the beach with a beautiful views of Alcudia. Entertainment is every evening and it is good. It is very noisy and there are very little space around the pool and if you are lucky to have a sunbed, is it very close to each other. The restaurant is very noisy and many people who must eat in a few hours. Shame because it really is a good place. The apartments are very good with a large balconies.

Have just returned from another great holiday at Alcudia Pins. We first went in April 2009 and liked it that much, we decided to go back in May 2009. The apartments are clean and well maintained with large balconies. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, especially Joan, one of the guys on reception. The entertainment staff work their socks off and are always smiling, even last thing at night. The location is perfect, you can walk right out onto the white sandy beach which is where we spent most of our days. Getting a sun lounger around the pool can be a little difficult if you're not down before 8am as everyone's down first thing with their towels. There are signs dotted around the pool saying that it is forbidden to leave towels on the sun loungers, but it didn't seem to make a difference. That was until a couple of days before we left when one of the staff went round at about 9am and removed all the unattended towels. When people finally arrived at their 'chosen' loungers they found their towels had gone and they had to go and reclaim them. It was very funny, we sat on our balcony watching while we had our breakfast. It seemed to do the trick though, there were no towels out first thing the following mornings. It's a very family friendly hotel with no rowdy groups and we found it to be very quiet after midnight. All in all, a great place for families. We will definitely be back again. .

Have to say really could not fault this place. We are a young couple with a 3 year old child. It caters perfectly for children. What with bouncy ship, playground, super pool and right next to the beach. Everything was literally on site. We had a car and it was nice to travel into Port Alcudia in the evening time. But the night time entertainment was brilliant at this hotel

Ok but crowded
Bruce Graham, Leicester
As a quick summary from the week beginning the 12th July this year it is busy and just gets busier till the end of August, I spent the week from the 13th July there and if you got up had breakfast and came down to the pool are around 9-9.30 you didnt have a hope of getting sunbeds. We spent most of the week on the beach if you walk along the beach for 5-8 mins past all the sun loungers you find some good peaceful areas of beach and the sea is warm and not busy which make it all worth while. There are some good acts on in the evenings but we found better acts including Robie Williams and Abba (they were fantastic) round the corner from the hotel next to the trampolines and electonic cars. All in all its good and has all you need but if you go for the pool mainly Id look elsewhere!

fab at alcudia pins
Depends on what you want - if you want a family orientated hotel with stacks to offer children of all ages then this is the place for you. If it's a quite holiday you want then it won't work for you. For children it coukld not be better, fab free form pool and a great slide for extra excitement. It's pot luck with the rooms, some are great overlooking the pool but others face a wall and or the road. overall I would say if the children are happy then you're happy. for a 3 star hotel it has loads to offer.

Got back from alcudia pins on 22nd of may we had a graet time here the place is very clean. The pool is fab very safe the baech is right on the door step and is the best part of of the pins. The place is very big ie, laundret, arcades, supermarket, kids club,2 shops, beach bar.Its a fab place great if you have kids as there is everything you need. My girls had there hair braided cost me 50 euros she did want 60 bit of a rip off really, but it did look nice. The hotel its self is out the way of town but we did not mind as its nice and peaceful we went on the pedlos cost 15 euros with slide and 10 without. The supermarket sells everything bit expensive but not to bad saying its on site. I also read a report that a lady got her friends key to there friends room to get there friends girls blanket they were looking after has put me off a bit because it could have been anyone? Sort the security out alcudia pins its not good. But all in all very good holiday and will return.
