Nice Stay

Spent 5 nights here for business and it was a great location for the show i attended. I had a nice room although the walls were a bit thin and being Vegas people come in and out all through the night. The level of service was good and i ate in a couple of the restaurants in the Hotel, both of which were very nice. One disappointment was that in this day and age they still insist on charging all guests a $30+ resort fee every day to use WIfi. Bigger and better hotels on the strip offer free Wifi to everyone and Treasure Island should catch up with the times!!!

The best thing about my stay was...

Good location on the Strip

Great hotel and cheap to stay in the middle of the action

Was impressed by Treasure Island. Check in was smooth, no delays. Took a card payment for the resort fee (which means you get free internet, although when we logged into the internet we didn't have to input our room no so we may have got it free anyway). Payment was taken straight away from the card, no big holds or anything. We got a complimentary room upgrade to the top floor where the penthouses are, floor 36. We had to swipe our room card in the lift which automatically selected our floor for us, very exclusive! Our room was a larger room than we had booked, with Strip views which was lovely. Room was very nice, décor was nice. Bathroom was big, plenty of amenities every day i.e. shower gels etc. Treasure Island is in a decent place on the Strip about a 5 minute walk up from Caesars where we walked to watch the 4th July fireworks. Casino is big and plenty of different machines. Not many table games but we weren't there for that. Buffet was OK and the main reason I dropped a point. Food was OK - the pork ribs had blood in them which I wasn't impressed with. Its not a huge buffet but theres a fair amount of choice. there are plenty of snack bars and other eateries in there. Valet parking is free and was quite reliable. The pool area isn't huge but there were no all day pool parties when I was there which is a bonus if you just want to use the pool and not go to a disco every day! There is a free boarding pass printing service which was handy also. There is a shuttle train into the Mirage and also a walkway into the Fashion Show Mall. There is a Walgreens across the street at the Venetian also. The show they put on outside was closed for renovations. All in all a good stay! Have been to Vegas many times but never stayed here before. I usually go to a different hotel each time but I would definitely consider staying here again,

The best thing about my stay was...

getting a a free room upgrade!!

Great Hotel in Middle of Strip

The hotel was great with large clean rooms and large bathrooms. Rooms had a safe and a fridge. Beds were comfortable and the air con was surprisingly quiet. Check in was easy and quick even though there was quite a large queue. I was please that I did not need to pay the resort fee as I did not need the internet or fitness centre. (this is normally $25+tax per night) There was also a special viewing area for hotel guests to see the Sirens show outside. The hotel is opposite the Venetian and near to most of the main hotels on the strip so location is great.

The best thing about my stay was...

Good size clean rooms

Brilliant hotel

TI was a lovely hotel, it was clean and well decorated and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The pool was fantastic with music playing in the background and even a pool side DJ on certain days. The bar and its staff were also great. The food at the pool side restaurant was gorgeous and the Firecracker Buffalo wings are to die for. There was a good mixture of age groups and some families around the hotel and all seemed to be having a great time. We would definitely stay again.

The best thing about my stay was...

The most comfortable bed in the world and the food at Kahunaville

Good Central Place To stay

We had a great time at the Treasure Island, the room was clean and well presented, everything was close by. If you arrive on a Friday or Saturday you can expect a fairly long wait to check-in but otherwise a great place to stay.

The best thing about my stay was...

Central to all on the strip

fantastic stay at treasure island!

We really enjoyed our time at treasure Island we got a great deal from alpharooms for 6 nights the location is great right next to the mirage and the fahion mall and across the street from venetian so its a great location. Rooms were lovely and nice size. Hotel was very clean and staff helpful. The restaurants in the hotel were ok but there is much better in vegas. The pool parties are fantastic but I would say mainly for 21-40 year olds.

The best thing about my stay was...

The free pirate show on every night is great!

Review of 'Treasure Island'

We went to TI in june 2004, This hotel was absolutely amazing it was extremley clean and the service was excellent. check in took a while and we did not have any view all we could see were all the pipes at the back of the hotel but it did not matter to us we thorouly enjoyed our selfs the casino is smaller than most of the others on the strip but if u want a nice peaceful relaxing game bthis is definitely the casino for you you will also find it is more relaxing than the other hotels on the strip as in general it is quieter so if thats what u like definitelly stay here. Could not fault the place.

Review of 'TREASURE ISLAND'

I stayed in the Treasure Island Hotel this June and thought it was fantastic. The rooms are spacious, clean and luxurious with great views of the Strip. The casino itself is quite small compared to some of the other hotels however there are a number of others within walking distance. The staff at Treasure Island were super helpful and friendly and we were given an upgrade and free bottle of champagne on arrival. Overall the service was fantastic. My only small complaint would be the long queue to check-in however the champagne and upgrade more than made up for this. Check out the poolside bar, the food is great. The pool however was often crowded and overall this hotel would suit a younger crowd.

Review of 'TREASURE ISLAND'

We stayed at 2 hotels in Las Vegas - Treasure Island and Luxor.
When we arrived at Treasure Island we had to queue for at least 45 mins to check in. As usual everyone has to walk from the back of the hotel through the Casino to the front of the hotel to get to check in. All the hotels like you to spend as much time passing through the slots as possible.
The lifts were easy to find and our room on the 19th floor overlooked the fashion show mall. It was a very nice room with all facilities except for coffee making. Iron and Ironing board plus hair dryer. Very very clean and a large bathroom. The rooms here were exceptional and the corridors were very quiet and tastfully decorated.
This hotel did not have as many facilities as the Luxor. It did have various restaurants but we found a better choice at the Luxor particularly as there was a food court at the Luxor for snacks. Having said that there were plenty of places to get food.
The buffet restaurant 'Dishes' was excellent both for breakfast and dinner and very good value.
The 'Pirate and Sirens' show at the front of the hotel was quite entertaining especially as it was free.
The Casino was good although at the Luxor you could play poker and there was no poker room here and the Roulette was more expensive. Minimum bet was $10.
The pool area was very crowded and very cramped. Just one pool which wasn't very big and people were allowed into the pool with bottles and glasses which I didnt like. Free towels but not much shade. Again the Luxor was better.
The location was good because it was in the centre of the strip and not far to walk for the big hotels like Ceasars. We were right beside the Forum Shops. However I found this a drawback really. The central location also made that end of town tattier on the street and noisier. Some of the older properties in the vicinity were quite jaded and scruffy and the streets were packed with people and street hawkers trying to get you to strip shows or giving out cards for strippers to your room.
In summary the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were helpful. The food, particularly the buffet was excellent but I don't think I'd stay there again. I preferred the Luxor which was in the same price range or Ceasers if I could afford.

Review of 'TREASURE ISLAND'

The Treasure Island is situated in the middle of The Strip and is easily identifiable by the enormous replica pirate ship that bobs up and down on the clear blue water at the front of the hotel. A wooden walkway surrounded by palm trees runs alongside the water and the hotel can either be accessed here or by going to the entrance at the other side of the hotel that leads to reception.

Our air conditioned room was decorated in hues of gold and beige and contained two Queen sized beds although these are more like English King sized beds and had plenty of room for two. All bedrooms are equipped with a television in an armoire, telephone point and internet connection. Room service is available in all rooms and the prices are very reasonable as well as the menu being extensive. The bathroom in the rooms are all floor to ceiling marble and contain a large bath/shower toilet and a vanity unit stretching the length of the walls. Of course all bathrooms contain a shaving point and also a plug near the vanity unit for the use of a hairdryer.

The hotel has four bars, two of which are aimed at the gambling fraternity and open 24 hours per day, and the others geared more towards people just out for a good time in the evening. The Kahunaville has an electric atmosphere and serve a huge variety of cocktails. For a more relaxing drink I recommend the Mist Bar or the Breeze both of which serve cocktails but in more of a calming and chilled atmosphere.

The Terrace Café has a relaxed atmosphere and opens all day long serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and also a wide range of snacks. The Terrace offers a wide range of lighter meals as well as more filling items, and the sandwiches are to die for.

Our favourite eaterie during our stay was without doubt The Treasure Island Buffet not just because of the fact that you can eat as much as you like and return for another plateful, but because of the huge choice on the menu. The restaurant has a rustic feel and a breakfast here will set you back a very reasonable $8.99 and the choice alone is worth the money.

We visited The Steak House on our first evening in the hotel and although it is advisable to book, we only had a half an hour wait for a table.. The menu of course revolves around steak although there is some seafood options to choose from, and although the restaurant is extraordinarily busy, steaks can also be served at the bar if you prefer to eat on the go.
