Paris with charm on a budget
Lucas Blades-Barrett, London
We recently stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and had a wonderful stay. The staff were remarkably friendly, and not in the formal Parisian sense. The hotel was clean and the breakfast set us up well for each day. Highly recommended for anyone on a budget who still want a faqntastic and comfortable stay.

It's important to note that the hotel has recently changed its name to 'Timhotel Paris Gare de L'Est'. Don't worry about this as this did not affect our booking. The service we recieved at this hotel was excellent and I have very little to fault. Firstly, the receptionists were useful and spoke very good English (phew!). Our room was small, but this did not cause a problem as it had everything we needed. Included was the use of a safe, wi-fi, air conditioning, a large TV and a hair dryer. Our room was cleaned everyday. The buffet-style breakfast was served between 6.30am and 10am daily. There was a large range of choice, including fruit, cereal, fruit juices, croissants, toast, cold meats, a variety of teas and coffee, yoghurt etc. We were very satisfied with the breakfasts as we were able to eat enough to keep us going for most of the day. Lastly, the location of the hotel was very convenient as it is right next to a train station. Three metro lines go through the station, and so it was very easier for us to get around the city. I would highly recommend using the metro as it is cheap and easy to use. We bought a two-day travel pass which cost us approximately €15 each and allowed us unlimited travel on all metro, RER and bus services. If you need any help in using or understanding the metro system, there were very useful information representatives in the station. Although there were some restaurants and bars in close proximity to the hotel, we instead chose to travel further into the centre of Paris to eat as there was much more choice and only took about 10/15 minutes on the metro, depending on where you're going.

Wonderful service at a comfortable hotel in a good place.
Mark Nicoll, London
The hotel itself is comfortable and clean, if slightly small (cosy) with narrow corridors and little rooms. The 'double bed' was two singles pushed together which were, if anything, slightly on the hard side. It was really fine though. I've stayed in a lot of hotels lately and this one really stands out for the service. They recomended us a fantastic restaraunt one night, provided a laptop to check our emails at the bar another, and let us borrow plates and cutlery for food we'd brought ourselves. They looked after our bags after we'd checked out, filled our water bottles, smiles and waves... they're lovely, welcoming, hospitible and helpful.
The best thing about my stay was...The people! So helpful, friendly and sweet.

Excellent good value hotel
Maxwell Cohen, Leeds
Second visit (business, but previously leisure) to this excellent hotel near the East Station. Very friendly staff, comfortable room with a decent shower. Perfectly adequate breakfast. Ideal for a business or leisure stay. Metro very close by as are perfectly acceptably priced restaurants (that is perfectly ok for Paris!). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...It's easy to find and excellent location

Clean, friendly, and very central
AUDREY FITZGERALD, Dublin 15
Stayed at this hotel very recently. On the metro line and very easy to find. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was basic, small but very clean. Breakfast was included each morning. Would defintely stay here again if travelling to Paris. Was in a great central location for touring Paris, lots of places to eat and drink and the metro and train station were just around the corner (abt a 3 min walk). Also lovely shops in the train station.
The best thing about my stay was...Central location, clean and easy to get around from.

Easy Access to Transport, worth the price.
Francine Winters, Dublin
The hotel was clean, the first thing I always notice, so big plus. The room was small but comfortable, and the bathroomwas small too but all in all liveable if you are sightseeing and lets face it you don't spend much time in a hotel when you visit Paris. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was not inn a picturesque setting but close to train stations and underground rail system. The hotel is beside a little hidden garden, local families go there and people catching some quiet space in the city. The main downfall is the size, photos don't really capture that, also there are no views to speak of in most rooms. The corridors in the hotel are scarily narrow, and the lift can also only hold two people comfortably. We felt the price we paid was very good for the location and standard of customer care.
The best thing about my stay was...The bed was comfy and I had a great sleep after all the sightseeing each day.

Fantastic - Will use on next trip to Paris
Nigel Burgin, Lincoln
I picked a hotel near to Eurostar terminal (1 metro stop) and on a strict budget. When we arrived at the hotel (3 hours early) the young staff were really accommodating and made sure that our rooms were made available a.s.a.p. The staff all spoke perfect English. We were shown our rooms, which were exceptionally clean and spacious. When the hotel found out it was our Silver wedding trip we were immeadiatley upgraded to an even bigger room (small suit) at no extra cost. An extensive continental breakfast was included in the price, served until 10a.m. An exceptional hotel with 4 star service and accommodation but 2 star prices. Will be back!!!
The best thing about my stay was...Wonderful, helpful staff.

Great Location - Nice cosy hotel - Brilliant for a weekend trip!
Total stay: 1 night only Room: cosy, nice and clean - fantastic beds (slept like a baby) and it was super quiet!!! Bathroom: fairly new , great power shower and big (2 people can theoretically have a shower together :) Breakfast: not massive but fine for us and good, also with healthy options Check-In / Check-Out: Great - Staff was very nice and helpful. Price: Bed & Breakfast for two in total for less than £75 for one night. That's brilliant for Paris. Location: Great as well! 4 minutes walk to Gare de l'Est (one stop from there to Gare du Nord - Eurostar) Go for it. You'll definitely enjoy your stay.
The best thing about my stay was...The brilliant shower, the cosy bed we had and beautiful weather in November.
