Lovely atmosphere, great location

Great location for central Edinburgh. Quite a grand hotel and staff lovely. We will return when restaurant and bar renovation completed. I would have liked a fridge in room and a bottle of water.

Excellent - Highly recommend

This hotel is perfect for sightseeing/shopping/Waverley station/trams. We had a superb stay 10-12 March, and could not fault the hotel -staff & service were excellent, the room was amazing with a great view of the Firth of fourth (our room was at the back of the hotel). We booked for breakfast and again were not disappointed - the choice and quality of food was excellent

A fantastic stay in a beautiful hotel

I am just back from a wonderful stay in the George hotel with my husband to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The hotel is ideally located and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome with a glass of prosecco and very helpful and polite staff. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you could need. We paid for breakfast in the morning which was worth the money. A very enjoyable stay that made a wonderful treat for us.

The best thing about my stay was...

The welcome drink and staff's hospitality

Central hotel with very friendly staff

Efficient & very friendly reception staff, we received an upgrade room at no extra charge. Concierge was very attentive to waiting customers. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, great choices, something to suit everyone. Tempus bar is a great place to enjoy a drink. Car parking a bit of a problem, use an NCP at a discounted rate from the hotel.
