Awful hotel, terrible staff, nothing good to say

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! The rooms are dirty, as are the communal areas. Everything is very run down and tired - they are rebuilding the hotel so you are surrounded by a construction site (which alpharooms failed to mention - thanks very much!). Fair enough you might think, at least they're trying to improve things. Bu that doesn't excuse the terrible attitude of the staff - not one smile, actually huff to themselves when you ask for anything or make one of the many complaints you need to make during your stay. Our room lock broke 3 times and on the third time they took so long to come and let us in that we nearly missed a concert we had tickets for! Don't bother with the complimentary breakfast package - it is for a Starbucks in the hotel next door and when you go there they tell you that you can only have tea or coffee or select from the more limited than normal pastry selection. We argued with them about what was and wasn't included every day as the hotel told us we could choose from the full selection - more hassle than its worth and who wants to have something they can have at home anytime? The concierge is the worst - so unhelpful and not sure he will actually do anything for you. Yes its cheap here but you will feel they should be paying you to stay. Don't bother - spend an extra £10 a night and stay somewhere half decent - even a motel or Travelodge would be better!

NOT a good experiance

This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, the front desk staff I had dealings with were very unhelpful without any customer service training it seemed. Some kind of alarm going off in our room during the night without any explaination. Messages left on the phone in the room only to find after a complictated drawn out process how to retrieve them that there are advertisments for the hotel. Maid didn't attend to our room properly but took the tip left on the bed without replenishing soaps etc. confusion of where to pick up shuttle as hotel is under construction, no clear signs where anything is. Loud music belting out from the speakers at the poolside, lifts dirty with rubbish thrown in them, without being cleaned, being hassled to gamble by casino staff when walking through to either enter or leave hotel . . . do I need to carry on? never again!

The best thing about my stay was...

Great place to stay, very central and great value for money

This hotel is in the centre of the strip so very handy for everything. The rooms were very spacious with huge beds. Check in was very efficient, although long queues are unavoidable at peak times. Bed and breakfast option was incredible value for money, although the breakfasts were at the Starbucks in the hotel next door - a 2 minute walk away. We did not use the pool so cannot comment on that but we would recommend the Imperial Palace - in fact we stayed again a week later at the end of our trip.

cheap and great location

We stayed at the Imperial Palace for 5 nights. The location is right in the middle of the strip giving easy access to everything including the monorail. The hotel itself was very large, we had a deluxe room which was quite big, super king bed and small balcony. It was very clean and the cleaners changed the towels etc daily. The room had ironing board and iron and a hairdryer. Air conditioning very noisy! The hotel could do with some re decoration and maintenance. After looking around some of the other hotels i would probably stay elsewhere next time. However if you are after somewhere right in the middle of the action and cheap the imperial palace is ideal.

Review of 'IMPERIAL PALACE'

Despite not being the most lavish hotel on the strip, you couldn't ask for a better location. Staff were friendly, the rooms are huge, if a little outdated, and most of the casino croupiers are helpful to first time gamblers like us. Make sure you go for the $1 dip in the ice cream parlour - not to be missed!

Review of 'IMPERIAL PALACE'

Visited November 2005. When we first walked into the Imperial Palace we found it a little dark and smokey. However, once we booked into our room and got settled, we couldn't have asked for a better hotel.

The rooms are very spacious (though are a bit dated), staff were great and the pool was even better. The breakfast buffet was amazing, so much food for so little money! The Legends show based at the Hotel was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone, whatever their age.

The location was perfect, smack bang in the middle of the strip, right across from the Mirage and 3 mins from the Bellagio.

We plan to stay again next year.

Review of 'IMPERIAL PALACE'

My husband and I were fortunate enough to visit your wonderful city in 2000. We spent 5 nights at the Imperial Palace and we were delighted with everything on offer. The rooms were spotless with plenty of room to move, the service was 100% and the entertainment and restaurants were second to none. While my review is of a holiday 5 years ago I have not read a detrimental review since and my memories are as fresh and enjoyable as if I were still there. I cannot wait for an opportunity to return to LV and when I do I'll not consider staying anywhere else but the Imperial Palace. For location, service and friendliness there is no greater welcome to or ambassador for LV than The Imperial Palace. Bravo!!
