Fab Hotel - We Keep Coming Back!

, Rhondda Cynon Taff

Second stay for us this year, we stayed 1 night in April and enjoyed it so much we've just had a 3-night stay. Perfectly situated for restaurants, bars, clubs, beautiful walks. harbourside and barge cruises, many shops. Very close to the Hippodrome, Colston Hall & Bristol O2 Academy venues (literally a five minute walk from the hotel). About a 15-minute walk from the city centre and Cabot Circus where there are an ambundance of shops, bars and restaurants. The staff at the hotel cannot do enough for you, they will assist you at the drop of a hat and are super friendly. The hotel is decorated to a very high standard, boasts beautiful seating areas and bar areas, very cosy and comfortable. Food in the restaurant is highly recommended too. We have had breakfast included in both our stays and the choice at the breakfast buffet covers everything you could possibly want, from full English to continental, pastries, cereal, yoghurts, fruits etc. My only complaint would be that in the room we had on our second visit, the bathroom (even though very nice, clean and well kept) was very small and the toilet was in the smallest gap between the shower screen and the wall. I am not very big but still I had to stand to even wipe! If you are on the larger side you will struggle in the toilet gap so you may wish to specify that you would prefer a larger bathroom space (no insult intended). On the first stay, our bathroom was quite a bit bigger and also the toilet space. Otherwise, on both stays our room (on both occasions we've had a double superior room) has been very comfortable, spacious and well equipped (iron, ironing board, proper hairdryer with straightning nozzle, etc)

The best thing about my stay was ...

Everything!! But in particular, the ambience of the hotel and its location.

Fantastic Hotel, Perfectly Situated For a Weekend Away!

, Rhondda Cynon Taff

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on 25.04.2015. We were there for a show at Colston Hall(which was just a five minute walk away) but arrived early to make the most of our stay. Beautiful hotel, decor very modern and lovely bar area and restaurant (menu delicious too!). Hotel itself smells of cleanliness and is spotless. Rooms fantastic and the most comfortable beds. Rooms have irons, ironing boards, electronic safes in the cupboard and a good hair dryer with a straightning nozzle and diffuser that you can plug in anywhere to use (not the ones you find attached to bathroom walls!). Staff all very helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel is perfectly placed for nightlife and dining if that is what you are looking for as the hotel is overlooking the river severn and all the barges and the dock. Across the brigde from the hotel on the other side of the river are a load of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and lovely walks. It's about 15mins walk away from the huge shopping cetre, so basically you get the best of both worlds. On the whole, a brilliant stay and looking forward to going back again in the summer months for a full weekend :-)

The best thing about my stay was ...

2 night stay for graduation

, Guildford

The hotel is in a good location and the staff are very helpful. My partner said the cooked breakfast was the best he has had in a hotel! The rooms are modern but the standard rooms are small and the views are not great, there is also already signs of wear! Most of the rooms face an internal area. This isn't a huge problem as you won't spend that much time in your room! Beds are very comfortable and the room was clean.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Location of the hotel.

Nice hotel. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. We had a private room for 40 people for dinner, so a set meal. We did not have the full menu. Room large and well furnished. En suite very small and difficult to cope with if you had any sort of even minor disability. Nothing they can do about it! Room staff accommodating and generous with tea, coffee, milk etc. Breakfast excellent. Car parking instructions complex, but desk staff very good at sorting it all out, and explaining how it worked. We would stay there again.

Arrived mid evening on a Friday. Given a good size room with nice views over the river. Excellent buffet breakfast. Convenient parking. We have stayed at several hotels in Bristol, the Bristol is our first choice.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Good size, clean room.

One night stay, half board in a standard double

, Frome

Excellent location, set next to the harbour and close to the SS Great Britain. The room was a little small, but adequate for our one night stay. Our evening meal was well presented and with a quick service, but the hotel charges far too much for their drinks, which with our stay were not included. We had a bottle of still water with our meal and were stung for £3.95! Our advise is to ask for tap water! There are plenty of nice places to eat very close to the hotel with reasonably priced drinks. Overall, the hotel is very pleasant with attentive staff, but don't judge it by it's exterior!

The best thing about my stay was ...

Having the water and quay right by the hotel, which was great as the starting piont for a nice walk.

Perfect for Short Staty in Bristol

, Ballycullen

Perfect location for seeing the sights of Bristol and for nightlife. Bus A2 from airport drops you at the door. Staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms are cosy and well-equippped, plenty of toileteries in bathroom. Good and plentiful breakfast in wonderful breakfast room looking out over harbour. Great value, too, especially when booked with Alpha Rooms.

Saturday night stay in Bristol Hotel

, Bosham

Have stayed here before, lovely spacious rooms, good bathroom, coffee making facilities, etc. Inside-facing room so not a great view unfortunately and quite noisy fan units with window open. Rate included a very good buffet breakfast with huge variety of cooked food, fresh fruit, pastries, etc... Would definitely stay again.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Comfy bed, good breakfast, great location.

Good central position for shops & sightseeing

, Badminton

NCP parking next door included in rate. Quick easy checkin and checkout, good sized rooms, comfortable bed, internet access included. Personally I found the bathroom to be on the small size, but it had a really good shower. Nice buffet breakfast with views overlooking the harbour.
