Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is recognised as one of Asia’s most attractive tourist destinations and is known for its breathtaking natural scenery and its rich traditional heritage, which can be seen from the beautiful temples that dot the city and local handicrafts on display. Dating back 700 years, the original city layout is visible in the traces of ancient fortified walls and main gates, which provide access to the Old Town. As well as the surrounding natural beauty, visitors also flock to Chaing Mai to experience Thai cuisine and learn the art of Thai massage. As Thailand’s second largest city, Chiang Mai has an increasingly International flavour, home to modern shopping centres, reliable transport links and a good communications infrastructure.
