The hotel is good value for money & the central position is great for exploring the city - i really enjoyed my stay. Everything about the experience was professional and my 4th floor room for one was perfect, tho perhaps a bit small if 2 guests stayed there, even with the double bed. Fixtures in the room -- esp shower etc were top quality. After staying 2 nights in a more remote, more quiet location, it was great to feel in the centre of this bustling city.
The best thing about my stay was...Quality of room

We really enjoyed our stay at the Suizo Hotel. It was very convenient and a great value for the money. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Just returned from Barcelona having stayed at Hotel Suizo. Excellent location - near to shops, bars, restaurants and sights of Barcelona. It is noisy but what can you expect when you are staying in the middle of Barcelona! The hotel was very clean, staff very helpful and polite. Towels changed daily and toiletries topped up daily. The room had a small balcony with french doors - room on the small size but comfortable and not a problem. Would visit again.

Everybodys reviews are the same, its great for the location. I also loved coming out of the boiling heat into the ice cold reception, it wasnt busy so the lift was always straight to us when we needed it and the room was a good size for the 2 of us. It was cleaned daily and new towels given etc. I went to Barcelona to see all the sights and this was very close to the church from the 1300's, its right in the heart of the city in th Gothic quarter and all around it are the narrow streets that are great for little shops, cafe's etc. The tour bus was only a 2 minute walk from us and can be booked at the reception which was great, so you can be at the Nou Camp in around an hour and the same for the Segrada Familia. I would recommend to anyone.
The best thing about my stay was...Location, Cleanliness

I HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL ON A FEW OCCASSIONS SUCH THAT I BELIEVE THE STAFF ARE BEGINNING TO RECOGNISE ME. IT'S A GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY HOTEL, SPOTLESSLY CLEAN WITH WARM FREINDLY STAFF IN A VERY CENTRAL LOCATION- CLOSE TO THE CATHEDRAL, MINUTES FROM THE bORNE DISTRICT AND WITH THE BEACH 2 STOPS ON THE METRO AWAY- LAS RAMBLAS IS A 5 MINUTE WALK AWAY- I WOULD RECOMMEND THE SUIZO TO ANYONE TRAVELLING TO THIS WONDROUS CITY
The best thing about my stay was...Grat value for money in a central location

location great, service average. Jun 2009.
The location of the hotel is just great, right on the edge of the gothic quarter, and very close to El Borne. They gave me a choice of two rooms; A large room second floor on to Carrer Ferran, or a smaller room on the fourth floor overlooking the quiter alley on the other side of the building to Carrer Ferran. Both rooms had small balconies. I chose the smaller room, only because it would be quieter. Breakfast was pretty mediocre, and you have to cross the street to their sister hotel to have it. I put the card on my door handle to tell the cleaners not to disturb me as I had been to a party all night and did not return till 7am. Nonetheless the cleaner knocked on the door at 1pm to ask me if I wanted my room cleaned! I forgot my mobile 'phone charger, and they didnt try too hard to help me out. Little service level things obviously make a difference to you stay, but fair enough since this place is only 3*. I did find everyone who worked at the hotel polite. I would stay here again.

Review of 'SUIZO'
Sue Himpleman, Norwich/England
We stayed at the Suizo for a 3-night break. The staff were very friendly & helpful - they even warned us which side streets to avoid when giving directions to avoid bag snatchers (which incidentally we had no trouble with). Breakfast catered for all tastes & the rooms were comfortable & clean. The balconies are great for people watching but if you're a light sleeper I would recommend a room at the back of the hotel as the traffic can be quite noisy, especially on Wednesdays (rubbish collection night). The hotel is very good value for money & the central position is great for exploring the city - we really enjoyed our stay. P.S. beware Barcelona guide books written before 2003 - ours recommended a trip to see 'Floret' the albino gorilla at the zoo - unfortunately when we got there we found that he's been dead 2 years.
