Hotel room was dingy & dark
Booked 2 x rooms at St Giles Hotel, with my husband & another couple, we asked for double beds & adjoining rooms, we had single beds & we were in room 375 & they were 356 which was 2 corridors away! In our room it was small & dark with a tiny window looking out on to roof & nothing else & what I presume was the air conditioner unit so couldn't have window open as it was noisy! Tiny bathroom with small shower & no bath! There was no mini bar but there was Tea & coffee facilities. Hotel fitted our needs but I was very disappointed at the room which was obviously in need of a refit! (Hotel is having a refit!) Breakfast was fine & plentyful although it looked more like a canteen than hotel restaurant! Overall location was fine & were staff friendly! Hubby liked the good quality duvets! Had booked hotel as rooms looked lovely & location but probably won't book again!

6 OF US STAYED HERE FROM FRI-SUNDAY FOR A WEEKEND OF THEATRE AND SIGHTSEEING, PERFECT LOCATION FOR EVERYTHING, ACROSS THE ROAD FROM THE TUBE AND WITHIN MINUTES WALK OF COVENT GARDEN, BUCKINGHAM PALACE, TRAFALGAR SQUARE ETC AND SO MANY THEATRES! HOTEL WAS BUSY BUT THATS TO BE EXPECTED BEING IN SUCH A GREAT LOCATION. ROOMS ARE GREAT, HAVE TEA/COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES AND HAIRDRYERS, WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE BACK THE NEXT TIME WE VISIT LONDON :)
The best thing about my stay was...Perfect Location for Theatres and Sightseeing

Tired and Tatty rooms.......!
Mrs Bouquet, Suffolk
That said- the rooms were clean though! Concierge staff were professional and welcoming and although reception staff were very nice they were not able to upgrade us to a bigger room as the hotel was fully booked! We had paid for bed and breakfast but the food and "restaurant experience" was dire so we ate out. We didn't let it spoil our stay although we would not stay here again -ever!
The best thing about my stay was...The hotel was very close to theatres that we had booked and there were a good selection of cafe/bars and restaurants close by.
