Our First Family Holiday

This place is exactly how it looks in the pictures amazing!!!! the staff are courteous and very helpful nothing was to much trouble, I had read a couple of negative reviews about the proximity of BCM but I have to say that it never troubled us there was no signs of drunkeness loud noise or anything that kept us awake at night and to be fair you'll have that much fun in the day with the kids a herd of wild buffalo will have trouble waking you once you have hit the hay for the night. If your in 2 minds I can't recommend this place enough me and my family will be back 👍👍👍
The best thing about my stay was...Katlantis I could have my left my lad there all week

Sol katmandu hotel resort

We have just visited this resort and were travelling with 3 other familys together. i found our stay fantastic from start to finish. the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and there was lots for our kids to do throughout the day. our familys children ranged from 7 to 14 years of age and all of them had plenty to do all day. The Food was also brilliant and i can say the best i have had an an all inclusive resort of a family type. The only gripe i had really was the sun bed issue, there is not enough sunbeds for everyone and lots of selfish people were putting towells on sunbeds in the morning, going out all day and not using them till 4pm that day and there were lots of people going without for this reason. needs addressing but other than this i can say this is def a resort i would return to in the future. thanks
The best thing about my stay was...the K2 climbing attraction was great and also the 4D cinemas were fantastic. the upside down house was also brilliant.

Sol Katmandu Park & Resort, Magalluf (Magaluf)
Just got back from first holiday, booked through alpha rooms was a bit worried having not used them before. But they were good to deal with and even with a slight problem with the room at beginning they sorted it. The holiday was our first abroad, 2 kids 3yr old and 10 months. The place was excellent, the staff were great, the food was different every day with plenty selection. The kids entertainment and kids clubs were also really good. The only niggle would be the bars are understaffed and the resteraunt staff again were pushed and this meant occasionally they would be to busy to come back with drinks orders etc. It is right by the strip but I didn't really struggle with the noise (I'm a light sleeper) But a great first holiday. Would highly recommend.
The best thing about my stay was...The hotel itself, staff were very child friendly.

Great for Families
Great place to stay for young families. Plenty to do, good swimming pools, entertainment okay but not outstanding. Plenty of choice of food and quality good, eat as much as you like breakfast was always excellent, full English including tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, fried slice, sausages, eggs many choices, lots of bread and pastries, fresh fruit and cereals. For dinner: Salads, fruit, fish, cooked chops, stews, turkey breasts, fish, choice of potatoes and veggies, always cold platter, loads of cakes and ice cream etc.cheese ham,
The best thing about my stay was...4D animation shows

7 but could easily be higher.
We went with our 3 year old. The hotel is in a nice location near the beach, the strip and aldi. Although near magaluf central it still feels more peaceful than you would expect. We went for 12 nights on b&b plan. The twin room was small but with a bed for our daughter instead of a cot which was nice. It's just a room only with small fridge and bathroom, balcony. No tea making facilities or kettles in room so I'd recommend taking a travel kettle. Breakfast was a buffet which was nice and it's all u can eat, with plenty on offer like full irish, healthy options like salad and fruits. They have a machine to make coffee and juice. For Park itself is better suited to kids about 5+, they will get the most joy as the soft play areas have two options and the bigger one is for kids 5+. Our daughter got bored of the small one pretty quick and we obly went twice. The water park is the same only 1 slide for a small child with the rest being bigger a child under 5 wouldn't have the confidence to use. Kids disco at night and creche twice per day is good if you can get your child to stay but ours was still a little shy. Kids going to montessori will be more able and u will get a break from the kids for and hour or two each day. Overall they staff are great, well trained in all areas of the hotel industry and I would go back again but when the little one is older.
The best thing about my stay was...The breakfast buffet.

Been here before for a visit last August a bit caotic so decided to go 4 adults 13th April 16 for just 4 nights. We had a ball, food bland cause they have to cater 4 every1 so gravy sauces salt and pepper all good. There was a great choice use your imagination. Drinks in evening bar taste the best but was drinkable during the day. The entertainment for the kids was super not that we needed to be entertained. The hotel is spotless massive but good. The staff took their time to be friendly but got there in the end. They provided a cake for my son's 18th which was a pleasant surprise. I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you have children you can not get bored the Katmandu house theme park etc is fab so unique, upgrade to gold for 10 euros so u get everything free. Staff in the dining room are stoned face and abrupt, don't let that put you off. They make an effort for the kids but we enjoyed our stay without any kids we let our hair down and had a party. The magaluf strip is 8 mins away & Palmanova beach 10 mins walk both lovely hope you enjoy
The best thing about my stay was...You never get bored

Arrived Easter Sunday at 13.30, long que to check in, chaotic queuing actually, staff very slow, finally got to top of que and we were given an itinerary and told to go to bar to get wrist bands for entry to theme park and then come back to reception for room card. Went to bar and more queuing, eventually got bands and headed back to reception to get room card but room not ready, went for bite to eat and returned 90 mins later and room still not ready, this was 17.30, 4 hours after arriving in hotel. Told it was a good room and worth the wait! Eventually got the card and after queuing for the slowest elevator in history we arrived at the room door only to discover card did not work, back to reception and card was 'reset', back up in slow lift and card still did not work, eventually got into our room 4.5 hours after arriving and 15 hours since we started our journey. Next am, would you believe it there was a long que for breakfast, now the theme park is good and would be very good if there was not so many queues but this is overshadowed by the inefficiency and disorganisation that occurred in the hotel, I do appreciate it was holiday season in Spain also but one would imagine the hotel would have had extra staff on duty to compensate this. I did read the previous reviews prior to booking which also stated there was queues but I was not prepared for extent of it, really put a damper on our stay. P.s there is also a que for drinks at the bar. The elevators were a nightmare and seemed to be more out of service than in service, one of the doors was dangerous and did not stay open long enough to get in or out. Room cards had to be reset practically every day. Rooms very small. Theme park very good if your kids like queuing, crazy golf course very good but you need to upgrade by €10 for use. If I was to do it again I would stay elsewhere and do day trips to theme park, cannot imagine what it would be like in the busy summer season. Very good location to beach and there is a great Italian restaurant very close by. Would give the theme park a higher rating if it wasn't for the inefficiencies within the hotel which unfortunately overshadowed our stay.
The best thing about my stay was...Location to beach.

Not a satisfied customer, North East
The hotel was nice and clean and had lots to do for the children but the food was absolutely terrible. The hotel is rated as 4 star but the food wasn't even 1 star. It was cheap and tasteless. We actually booked a family suite which turned out to be just a hotel room with a double bed and sofa bed for 2 adults and 2 children. We had no balcony either.
The best thing about my stay was...Kids enjoyed the theme park and aerial adventure
