Amazing and relaxing location

Just got back and loved every minute of this beautiful hotel. Having read reviews hoped it lived up to its reputation. We arrived late at night and were welcomed and given sandwiches as the kitchens were closed and taken by one of the really friendly Greek staff to our 'pool sharing' room. The room was clean and adequately kitted out with a mini bar with water and soft drinks and a half bottle of red wine waiting along with bath rope and slippers. But when we opened the french windows to the pool and the views to the sea and the beach below, I knew we had made right decision. Staff were always friendly and on finding out it was our 15th wedding anniversary without our 4 kids the housekeeping staff left a heart of petals on the bed, a bottle of sparkling wine and a basket of fruit - was a lovely touch! The toilet did not work at first but was soon fixed. Food was plentiful, spotlessly clean and for an all inclusive I think very good catering for all different tastes - including a grill to freshly cook meats, chicken and fish, fresh pizza (heaven) loads of fresh salads and in the morning freshly made omlettes, pancakes, doughtnuts and breads and the list goes on and on. At any all inclusive I think you have to except that it is not like going out to dinner every night. Had meal in the chinese would was also very good. The drinks are great with cocktails including pina colardas and mohitos and luckily even though drinks were included we did not see any bad behaviour at the resort. Beach is a lovely shingle beach and fantastic for snorkling and in early May was fairly quiet. Was hot every day and was simply a lovely holiday if you are after sun, relaxing and beautiful location but not for your party animals or anyone with trouble walking as hotel on different levels. Think you have to think 4 star in a wonderful 5 star location.
The best thing about my stay was...Stunning location especially with a cocktail sitting as the lower pools beach bar and the general relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed here for one night only as a stop on a cross-Crete cycle trip. Was checked in very early and given access to the all-inclusive benefits immediately! Good quality of food, service was generally very impressive, room was lovely, views were stunning and was utterly incredible value for money! (42 pounds for all-inc). Couldn't have imagined staying there for a week as its very remote. But for the last night of my 47th year on the planet, it was ideal.

Very beautiful hotel. Room was cleaned and towels changed every day. We took Superior double room with sea view, it was spacious room with 2 balconies and 2 floors, with 2 extra single beds on the second floor. The view was fantastic, food was great, but male staff didn't smile at all. It was the feeling that they hate us. Also cocktails in the bar above the main restaurant were "alcohol free", but barmen next to the swimming pool was making proper drinks full of taste. Female staff were very nice and friendly. Beach next to the hotel was stony. You have to buy a special shoes to walk and swim. Animation was missing at all. The weather was raining and cloudy most of the time (we stayed there the 2nd week of October).
The best thing about my stay was...Beautiful views and food.

The Sensimar Sea Side Resort and Spa sits on a cliff top with great views of the bay.It has access to a small beach with a few shops and bars.We hired quads for a day and had a short ride to Agia Pelagia just five minutes away.It was lovely for a few hours with shops and bars on the beach front. The Hotel itself is great. The food is lovely and the staff are very nice. The Annimation team were the best thing about our Holiday.Day and night they have lots of energy and nothing if too much trouble for them. They just want you to have a good holiday. We all said we would go back.
The best thing about my stay was...The Annimation Team and the food.

Having booked the sensimar seaside resort i then decided to read the reviews!! Oh, thought i had made a terrible mistake but went ahead with an open mind. I found the people welcoming, the hotel facilities very agreeable and lovely views from our room! The food was plentiful, always a variety and good wine and drinks available. Perhaps people visit these countries expecting like for like food, please ask them to stay at home next time! I shall be revisiting at some future date. Another note in sensimar favour, all too often management allow guests into dining areas, of an evening, in beach shorts, here we were pleased to see them being stopped and asked to dress in proper attire!
The best thing about my stay was...Peaceful relaxing suntanning experience
