Great for just relaxing.
This is a large hotel in an isolated location so there are no outside bars or restaurants within walking distance. But, the all inclusive is excellent. The large and very varied breakfast buffet (including Cava) is served from 8 to 10.30am but if you miss that continental breakfast is served in the Pool Bar from 10.30am to midday. Lunch buffet is served in the main dinning room from 12.30 to 14.30 with a smaller selection available in the Pool Bar. Snacks are are served in the Pool Bar 15.00 to 16.00 and afternoon tea and cake from 16.00 to 18.00. In addition to the main bar (18.00 to 01.00) and the Pool Bar (10.00 to 18.00) there are self service points with water, a selection of branded soft drinks, wine, Cava, coffees and teas and draught Amstel beer. The hotel is built into a cliff overlooking a pristine, wide, sandy beach. There are over a hundred steps down to the beach so not suitable for people with walking difficulties. However the hotel itself has lifts serving all 9 floors and there are lots of sunbeds around all 3 pools. A public bus service, with a stop outside the hotel, runs regularly from early morning to late evening going to Morro Jable (20 mins) in one direction or Costa Calma (30 mins) and Puerto Del Rosario (90 mins) in the other direction. Would I recommend this hotel? If you are looking for a large hotel to kick back and relax with good food and service, good sized and clean, though quite basic, rooms and access to a beautiful beach than this could well be for you. For the naturists amoung you this hotel is ideally located with plenty of naturists within a short walk along the beach from the bottom of the steps. Excellent value for money.
The best thing about my stay was...Wide Sandy Beach.

The hotel was clean, family room was spacious, food was nice enough (a typical all inclusive buffet), sun loungers plentiful and beach beautiful. The hotel is some distance from Jandia itself but its location directly onto the beach more than made up for this. You can walk the length of the beach into Jandia itself which we really enjoyed. Kids particularly liked to feed the chipmunks that can be found on the way round the headland. The only negatives to this hotel is that the pool was freezing and even the kids didn't want to go in it for long and that we were literally the only British people staying there. This was disappointing for the kids as they like to make friends on hotel and the language barrier made this difficult for them. On the whole, we would recommend this hotel to anyone who just wants a relaxing break away from it all.
The best thing about my stay was...the beach - miles on miles of golden sand!

Great position If you enjoy long beach walks but recommend a car because the weather can change.Very efficient reception which was emulated in all the other hotel departments. Nothing was to much for any of the staff from the cleaners to the management team.Very impressed by this hotel experience.Great value for money with excellent food and all round team performance. Mainly German guests with a sprinkling of French and Spanish.I do speak German although a native Brit. The German guests were the most friendly people and were prepared to speak in English , German or sign language. Many thanks to all my German friends and the hotel team who made my break unforgettable.
The best thing about my stay was...Friendliness of staff and guests

Clean rooms - Very friendly staff - Good pool facilites - Food excellent. We had a car for the duration of our stay to enable us to see the Island as there nothing much within walking distance of the hotel. No other English people staying when we were there.

Very nice hotel, quietly located near the beach

Very good food - very friendly Hotel is near the beach but you have to go down the stairs (it is located on a platform 20 meter heigher). Lots of naked people run around on the beach. Very long and nice sand beaches. However recently lots of stones reached the beach. Better also go to the beach when the water is not too high. Swimmingpool for small children is not heated
The best thing about my stay was...Lots of space and terrasses everywhere with view on the sea

Great February break
The hotel is quite isolated, with no local shops or bars, but if you rent a car you can travel easily around the island as the roads are good. We found renting a car from Auto reisen at the airport for a week was cheaper than a return taxi fare! The hotel rooms are spacious but the decore is a little tired. The all inclusive package was great. The food was very enjoyable the entertainment "enthusiastic," the staff very helpful and beach peaceful. The whole family had a great time.

Review of 'HOTEL SUNRISE CLUB PARAISO PLAYA'
Edmund Fairley, Sunderland/England
High standard of cleanliness in all areas, sun loungers in good supply around choice of swimming pools. friendly polite staff, plenty of choice offered on the all inclusive menu. Access to beach is probably unsuitable for people with walking difficutlies due to large number of steep steps, however if you are fit enough the beach is well worth the effort.
