Holiday April 2018
Catriona , Ireland
Great beach front location . Could see the resort is geared up to entertain children but when we were there the season hadn’t commenced yet so the resort was quiet but that suited us perfectly with our young family . Lovely and friendly staff especially the cleaning ladies who visited our apt daily , they did a great job each time. Our beach front apt was in great location within the resort , very easy access to man made beach for our son to play and then great location for exiting the resort to walk along the beach / cliff front which extends for many kilometres and brings you right into the heart of where the bars , restaurants , shops and other beaches . Would definitely return to the sands resort
The best thing about my stay was...Location.

Nice hotel large complex
Steven , Bradford
The hotel is situated just out of the main part of Costa Teguise but is a lovely walk either by the road or coastal path. The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was an updated room so comfy beds and nice decor with a big dual walk in shower. The hotel boasts six pools with an Olympic pool. The private beach area and lagoon are really nice. However the mai tai bar and pool requires you to pay an additional 6€ for a sunbed.
The best thing about my stay was...The updated rooms and pool areas.

Great Family Holiday
Lynn , Ireland
We have just returned from a week in Sands Beach Resort. We have stayed in another apartment complex for the last 8 years but as it was booked out this year, we opted for here. Our appartment was lovely and spotlessly clean. The pool was directly in front of our door but you will find that with the majority of the rooms here anyway (7 pools). My 8yr old has to get to the childrens club every morning. It starts at 10. He was up at 8 every morning just to be sure. He also had to get to the disco from 8:30pm to 9:30pm and the pyjamas party from 10pm to 11pm. That cost €3 and that was the only thing you had to pay for unless you are leaving your child with them for lunch too which was €6. They had a teenagers club too but it was cancelled this week as there were none attending. We all tried the kayaking at the lagoon (free) and it was great. Miguel is more or less the resident taxi driver, he has excellent English and is a gentleman. Maid service is 5 times a week. We did not eat at the hotel as breakfast was €15.50 for adults and €7.50 for children, too dear for a family. However they do have a supermarket in the complex which was more than handy. The Soleil Bar has free WiFi so there is no need to buy their WiFi. TV, ironing board and iron is free which was something new to us. Hairdryer is very powerful so dont bring your own. The Jacuzzi was freezing but a lovely novelty. They have quizzes, bingo, tennis, biathlon training, swimming lessons, gym, hairdressers, a spa and nightly entertainment. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be going back.
The best thing about my stay was...Majority of facilities on offer are free

absolutely love this hotel! there is something fro everyone, for sports enthusiasts, families and for those sporty wannabes (me). the service is fantastic, the room cleanliness is great with cleaning/fresh towels on 5 out of our 7 day stay. the maintenance and pool staff also very friendly and do a great job. the bars are great and food lovely. supermarket has all the essentials and i found quite reasonable priced. not much fresh fruit and veg in the shop supermarket but i didn't see much in the other main supermarkets either. having said that you can get a very cheap salad in most bars. The terrace to the mai tai bar was a new addition since my last visit three years ago and caters for the adult traveller, a more sophisticated bar which was needed. The inly down side was the wifi access. you ahd week access in the hotel bars but if you wanted good access ( for teenagers!) most of the bars in Costa teguise provide free wifi which is a good idea if you want to limit the time spent online whilst on holiday. the hotel is a good 1000m from the centre of the resort but is a lovely walk along the promenade and can be accessed with a pushchair. I will be booking again Oh! did i mention that i got to see several elite triathletes during my stay including a Gold medal won in the Para-Olympic triathlon by Andy Lewis!
The best thing about my stay was...all of it but most of all quality time with my family

Stayed at The Sands Christmas 2015 and had a wonderful time. Service was impeccable and rooms spotless. Decided to spend Christmas and New Year again in 2016, hoping for the same this time round. Unfortunately the room was dirty and dusty, with fluff under the beds. When we asked for the towels and beds to be changed. The chambermaid was there within 10 mins. Beds changed and towels replaced, but the rooms were not as good as the previous year. We don't know if is was due to short staff or different management? The room and room service was no way near as good as it was in 2015. We would however give the hotel another chance as the overall service was to a high standard.
The best thing about my stay was...Friendly and welcoming staff.

Terrible entertainment in the evening
Good villa resort but had to pay for lounges at the MaiTai bar, was waiting quite a long time to be served at the MaiTai bar. Bathroom in the room needs to be updated as we had paint pealing out in the bath. There is very basic entertainment in the evening for the adults. The existing acts are terrible! Nothing to do for the teenagers in the evening either.
The best thing about my stay was...Buddy club

Sands Beach Resort

Does its best but not good enough. This place is very outdated.has had a pool refurbished but needs rooms doing. No aircon or heating. Had to go to reception to get a small electric heater twice as no one came after a hour and half and the phone didnt work Very noisy had place next to steps and just heard suitcases bumping up and down all the time. Ok for family's but not for couples.
The best thing about my stay was...good for location not to far from restaurants and shops
