very nice hotel, staff very good and hard working..try very hard to give you a pleasant stay. location is very poor..2 rocky dirt paths to either los abrigos or golf del sur.one good footpath to san blas and other bars etc. not a lot there really.we used courtesy bus every day..some people will love it others will not. nearest local bus about 15-20 mins walk-either san blas or los abrigos PS.TAKE NOTE IT IS VERY WINDY HERE.

A real holiday must
Ali and Steve WIlliams, Nottinghamshire
We have just returned from the sandos san blas nature resort and we can't wait to return. The place is ideal for anyone brilliant activities/ entertainment such a talented bunch -- the staff throughout the complex are amazing so friendly. We honestly can't find the words to say how wonderful the place is nothing is too much trouble the whole team are so accommodating. We have both said it is the best holiday we have ever had.
The best thing about my stay was...Everything was brilliant so it would be difficult to name the best thing

First time at this hotel
Denise Croft, Channel Islands
Really disappointed, after booking a room, with alpha rooms.com....we'd requested a sea view, but ended up in a very noisy room above the kitchens, at children's playground as our view! After the 6th night, we were woken on Sunday morning by the sound of industrial cleaner, or the like...we phoned to complain, & were moved to a quiter room.... My feelings of this are that, alpharooms might be the best price, but have the worse rooms....so would not recommend them..
The best thing about my stay was...The hotel is of a very good standard, we had a very lazy 10days in the sun!

Sandos San Blas was a BLAST!!
Chloe Smith, London
Such an amazing hotel with great entertainment and great section of food thoughout the day. All staff were very attentive to your needs and very happy to help you. The weather was perfect and the pools were great. A.I drinks were surprisingly good and a good choice of cocktails and spirits. You were close enough to your local stores and tourist areas which the hotel provides a free shuttle bus 3x a day. If you wanna. Adult glam holiday we would defiantly recommend this hotel. We could not fault Sandos San Blas and are already planning our next vist. :-)
The best thing about my stay was...Modern hotel / Rooms / Food choice

Excellent staff, great hotel and location
10 mins from airport, see the planes over the hotel but honestly not a problem. Best thing about the hotel is the staff, always accommodating and quality service. Rooms big and clean and food very good for a buffet, menu changed daily. Family and adult only areas, not overcrowded, always got sun beds when needed. Overall this is a well run, friendly, well located hotel which I highly recommend.
The best thing about my stay was...Quality of customer service

Excellent, Welcoming, Well Run Hotel
Lifeki1955, South Yorkshire
We visited during the last week in June 2014. This was our first time to this resort and we found everything about the hotel to be excellent, in particular the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the lake. The room was of good quality, although it could have benefitted from a couple more plug sockets in. The location was peaceful and quiet with a sea view to the side of the balcony. The food was good with a varied selection of fish and meat at lunch and dinner. I am not a vegetarian but there didn't appear to be many hot options for vegetarians. A number of dishes were cooked and served fresh in front of you in the buffet/servery area at all meals, including breakfast. Fully inclusive customers are served a very good choice of drinks, which includes many named brands not just local brands. A week’s fully inclusive also includes a dinner in the a la carte restaurant, which although it had a relatively limited menu choice the quality of food was excellent. The main evening entertainment was varied and good quality without the entertainment schedule relying on an in-house entertainment team to provide the bulk of the entertainment, as I’ve found to be the case on other holidays. Daytime activities were also plentiful and varied. I was impressed by the hotels eco friendly ethos with all of the bins marked for different types of rubbish to maximise re-cycling and the hotel also had a number of living/green roof areas and also hosts a nature reserve and local history museum. Guests can walk around the nature reserve at any time and get discount rates for a guided tour of the reserve and museum. I would certainly return.
The best thing about my stay was...Can't pick out one thing - the whole experience was of high quality.

Sandos Sans Blas
Shan Butler, Surrey
This was our second time to this resort. The food was good but not as much selection on the fish for dinner. Our room over looking the lake was peaceful and quiet and also had a very small sea view. This time the hotel had certainly upped it's entertainment.the evening entertainment was a good quality and varied. Staff were really friendly , but one of the best things here is the spa! It is of a high standard and an hour massage only costs around £50. I would certainly return.
The best thing about my stay was...The spa

Great Hotel,Great food,Great Service
Russell Hailstone, Ideford
Found the choice of food and drinks superb. Service from the staff was excellent. Bedroom very good but on the ground floor so not much of a view or privacy. Only disappointing aspect for me was the size of the gym as this was very small compared to the size of the hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...Easy going atmosphere, design of the hotel and excellent service from the staff
31 May 2013
Staff and service was excellent- no request was a problem All inclusive element was very handy and there ws a great selection of food and drink. No shopping options in the locality. We did not like the layout of the hotel - it was a maze of corridors some open to the elements and because the weather was windy and cloudy it wasnt comfortable because you had a good walk from restaurant to bar reception in the evening and evening entertainment was ianother walk away through windy corridors. We would not return but if the weather had been better we might feel differently.
The best thing about my stay was...lovely rooms

Second time stay at this very good hotel
Lynne John, Sutton Coldfield
A few cost cutting measures from last time; but still a lovely hotel with very good staff throughout. Rooms comfortable, spacious and kept very clean. Food in the restaurants of good quality and variety - especially the La Proa restaurant, one visit included in the stay - a wonderful meal!!
The best thing about my stay was...The evening at La Proa

RELAXING BUT LACKING GOOD ENTERTAINMENT AND SUNBEDS
Mariano Hernandez Arbelo, Santa Ursula Tenerife
Stayed here in June 2011 for a long weekend as we are residents on the island. Would recommend the hotel for this purpose but would be took quiet for a longer stay without transport as there is nothing in the vecinity and the night life is very poor. The rooms were first class, extremely inviting and comfortable with every possible eventuality taken care of. The resort was very tranquil and nicely decorated. The bar staff were relatively pleasant, no comment either way apart from the receptionist on our departure who was very understanding when we told him we had misled one of the room keys! The food and restaurant area was good, nothing special (I've stayed at poorer resorts with a better choice of food but this seems to be the norm in general). There was no problem with the seating with us just being two persons, they could do with updating the music though as it was very repetative and boring. My only real gripe was the age old problem with the sunbeds, as they were always reserved from nine thirty by the typically selfish group of people who didn't appear till midday or later, and as there was a distinct lack of them, this caused a real problem for many people who like us, liked to sit round the pool from about eleven am. Luckily after walking round each and every one of the eight pools and not finding even ONE free one day, we luckily encountered a lifeguard who found us two after about an hour of sitting in the bar. This spoiled our stay in general as we considered we had paid enough for the stay not to have to put up with this inconvenience. Hotels should enforce this rule as ultimately they are responsible.
The best thing about my stay was...REST AND RELAXATION

NOT 5 STAR :(
emily mccalmont, saltcoats ayrshire
not 5 star. but still a very nice hotel.. rooms very clean and well maintained.. food very good for buffet service..most of the staff are well trained with nice manners, but one barman (ivan) tutted, sighed, and rolled his eyes, when i asked for a coffee on two seperate occations, what i found irritating was the bar was the only place i could get a coffee outwith breakfast service, if they had other facilities i would have use them and ivan could have polished his plastic tumblers in peace... will not go back to the san blas.
The best thing about my stay was...only booked for one week... not two.

Great Holiday.. Highly Recommended
lis corby, Deal
Have just returned from 1 week at this hotel, and found it to be a complex with everything you need at hand, and a superb team of staff on hand to help you. Its a holiday complex. There is a choice of pools and they are all clean and safe for kids. There are activities for you to join if you like, watch if you dont. But there is activity, music and life around you surrounding the main pool/bar areas..you can escape to quieter places if the buzz of activity is too much. The kids club accomodates over 4's, the staff are all kind and friendly to the kids, happy for your little ones to come and go (with you), and take your instructions in what you are happy for your kids to do while with them. Food is plentiful and varied.. breakfast and deserts were my favourite..and I rarely eat either at home! There is a very strong breeze blowing as the day progresses..take something a little warmer for the evening (outside) entertainment. I have watched (and participated) my way through 18 years of kids mini discos now, and have never seen such a great male kids entertainer who engages the kids and has them following him around like a pied piper ! It's a pleasure to watch or join in (your choice). The rooms are comfortable, spacious and safe. Wifi is a little hit and miss..my partner had no problems, whilst I struggled to connect at all. The all inclusive drinks, ice cream and slush keep you all refreshed, a strict no reserving sun beds policy is enforced, shade is easy to find. The beach is rocky, great curling waves to watch/photograph..but no sea swimming, whilst we were there you would be mad. All quiet after 11- 11.30pm, perfect if you are happy to then retire to your room. If I had to find one thing to make it better, it would be tea/coffee in the room..ordered room service first thing in the morning in the end which only cost 4 Euros each a day and to be honest was worth it- but thats a personal choice of waking up slowly and enjoying a coffee. Remember its a complex, you can leave if you want to (free transport to Las Americas each day) but perfect for those who want an all in, everything at hand week. Thanks to the managerial staff who sorted out any concerns/queries fuss free, a great credit to the hotel.

Not a 5 star hotel - Very limited choice of venues for drinks/dinner
Jennifer Wytcherley, City
if you have been to other 5 star hotels, you will see why this is really an average 4 star. With only one buffet restaurant to take your meals, 3 times a day, it is very repetetive and can become boring. Also, there is only one place to have a drink on the evening, which is the lobby bar. My husband described this as a cross between a waiting room, and a working men's club (no atmosphere and no pleasure to sit there). It felt like a bit of a waste of time to get dressed up on an evening to serve yourself dinner in the same restaurant and then sit at the same bar! Most people didnt so it was a real mix between people making an effort and people in tracksuit bottoms. Also, service to get a drink was BAD, especially at pool bar when you could be stood 20 mins to get served, only to receive warm wine in a plastic half pint beaker. On a positive note, rooms are nice, food was good quality and plenty of choice, close to airport (taxi cost Euro 12). We were only there 5 nights and had to go out on the last one to avoid another repeat of the same groundhog day - can't imagine what it would be like staying longer!! (PS - there is no beach to speak of - just rocks with a couple of umbrella's and sunbeds for effect)

lovely hotel, lovely staff
As soon as we arrived we were impressed with the service - our flight had been delayed by 2 hours and dinner was ending as we arrived but the guy at reception immediately told us not to worry about checking in immediately, took our bags and called down to the restaurant to tell them to expect 2 latecomers. The service throughout remained impeccable - genuinely friendly, happy, helpful, polite staff. Our room was lovely, and spacious. And I think we had the lowest room category (Deluxe) so we were pleasantly surprised. Balcony overlooking one of the pools, sofa, two large beds, bath with jet streams (bit small for two people though!), shower, bidet, two sinks - all separate from each other so two people could use the bathroom at once. And cleaned impeccably each day. Wi-Fi is complimentary (although a little hit & miss), TV has BBC, BBC 3, Sky and lots of other international channels, food was great (I am vegetarian and I was never short of choices). Glad I read some reviews prior though, which prepared me for the walk between the main building and the restaurant, although it was actulally quite nice to be able to walk of all that food, and you soon find your bearings. The only thing that was slightly peculiar was the 'entertainment' at night - little bit cringe-worthy actually as various staff members perform variety shows... Spanish Elton was a classic... But it was so bad that it was actually entertaining so still can't really cpmplain! Would certainly recommend it, got fantastic rates and it caters for couples, families and groups of friends. But may get a bit bored staying within the complex for more than a week unless you venture out on boat trips or to the volcano etc. Very close to airport though - €12/way.

lovely hotel,entertainment terrible
greg williams, skelmersdale,lancashire
the hotel rooms are lovely, pool areas are very nice but all pools are salt water which is a bit of a let down, the food is what you would expect on an all in,ok,if you are a lager drinker its very good.bottles of heineken and cruz campo on draught, the entertainment is rubbish, theres a nice little centre 10 min walk nice little bars and restaurants and live music every night but up a gravel path and hill,no good for prams or the elderley, got stung on the last day got charged for drinks when they saw we checked out even though we wernt leaving till 9 pm,and only arrived at midnight so we missed out on our first day AI,i stay at a lot of 5 star hotels in tenerife and entertainment wise this was by far the worst
The best thing about my stay was...the rooms

a lovely hotel but not luxury
jessica thomas-day, dorset
we had a junior suite which had two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one of which had the glass walls you see photos of everywhere) floors were tiled and we overlooked the lake which was lovely and quiet. there were no english TV channels. only one of the 8 salt water swimming pools was heated, the rest were freezing including the children/baby pools, and were therefore unbearable. there was no poolside service drinks you had to get yourself. food was really great lots of choice. rooms were spacious and clean. although hotel information was limited. men are required to were long trousers and t-shirt or shirt in the evenings( and people were turned away for wearing shorts/sandals). car hire and extras are cheaper at airport or elsewhere. friendly staff most of the time, evening entertainment was on quite late (for us) as we were looking forward to the disco for our 2 year old.
The best thing about my stay was...food
