Great value for money

Rooms cleaned daily, friendly staff, good food and service - no queueing at the bar!! Lots of sunbeds. Didn't encounter any bed bugs in our room!!

The best thing about my stay was...

Bed Bugs

Not a bad hotel but with bed bugs. We had a second room and it was the same. I think this is a problem for the whole hotel. Normally I have trauma after a holiday in Royal Costa. It was not a nice relax if you know worms are walking on you. I don't understand why there are opinions about it, e.g. on trip advaisor. This is supposed to be a portal for tourists. I don't believe that nobody had such a situation. I can add photos as they walk on the sheets and how I was bitten. I hope we didn't bring it home because then I didn't I want to warn others. If I knew about it, I certainly would not have made a reservation at this hotel. Unfortunately, before leaving I could not find anything unsatisfying

The best thing about my stay was...

Hot watyer in the pool

Great Holiday

This was a great hotel to stay in- fantastic value for money and I would definitely go back there again. The room was a little dated, however it was spotlessly cleaned every day with a powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Toiletries were topped up daily and the bed was comfortable. There was a pleasant balcony looking out towards the sea. Yes, you can hear the trains and planes but it was never loud enough to be annoying. The hotel itself was very quiet and is located out of town with the railway station only 5 minutes walk away. Perfect if you are planning your own trip and want a cheap and quick transfer from the airport. The staff were fantastic. Always helpful and polite. A tip to UK visitors- learn to say hello, please and thank you in Spanish- this can make all the difference. The food was typical Spanish buffet. As a fussy eater I was impressed with the range of salad on offer and especially pleased that several vegetarian pasta dishes were served over the course of the week. The food was always freshly cooked and well presented. I never felt hungry! The entertainment was organised by a very hard working lady who always tried to include everyone in the day's various activities. Overall this hotel provides great value for money, a clean and spotless place to stay with a good range of food and drink on offer all day.

The best thing about my stay was...

The coffee machine!

Weekend away - Group

Had a good weekend away at The Royal Costa. Was originally a little put off by the reviews but have the following comments: FOOD: Much better than expected, definitely better than the 4* we stayed in the previous week in Mijas. A lot of choice, salads, meat, fish etc. What is usually expected of All inc/HB hotel food but slightly better I'd say. Yes there are no English bacon and English sausages - WE ARE IN SPAIN! DRINKS: No issues with the all inclusive, were able to get 4 drinks at a time (I personally didn't ask for more but a friend got 8 without question for our group) STAFF: Staff were very happy and helpful. I speak some Spanish and find it's always nicer if you try to speak in their language. Didn't find any staff miserable as per previous reviews at all ROOMS: Erm yes they are a bit dated. All the need to do is ditch the stripey headboard and get rid of the stripey bedspread and stick with white bedding, apart from that bathrooms were totally fine and pretty modern LOCATION: Not really Torremollinos. Should be down as Malaga as it is 5 mins drive from the airport. Ideal for an overnight stop at Malaga. Taxi 25 euro to Torremollinos. Only went to see a friend in a band. ENTERTAINMENT: Flamenco was on one night, didn't really watch it but looked very professional. In the evening the All inclusive drinks stop at 11pm (Winter times) and the staff were just happy to let you order extra and then go off and leave you in the bar area. No issues with the night porter doing this.
