General Information:
If you’re looking for a private sandy beach retreat on your next holiday to Malta, then look no further other than the Ramla Bay Resort. It is a 4-star property and an ideal space for holidaymakers to enjoy away from the hustle-bustle of the city.

Hotel Information:
Whether you want to take a stroll alongside the beach, enjoy world-class facilities with Mediterranean views or simply relax in the comfort of your room, the Ramla Bay Resort can be the right place for you. It has 3 outdoor swimming pools for adults to take a dip in the water and a special pool for younger guests to enjoy paddling. The pool area is surrounded by plenty of deck space, and you’ll not face any problem in finding a sun lounger to relax and soak up the sun under the parasols. Here you can also witness the amazing beach views while enjoying a drink from the poolside bar. For adventure lovers, there are several water-based activities available from jet skiing to paragliding and you can take lessons from the in-house diving school to try your hand at the scuba diving. The resort is also known for organizing various live music shows for a great family time.

For a truly unique experience, you can visit the full-service spa and de-stress your mind with a variety of massage, manicure, pedicure, facials, body wraps, body scrubs and other Ayurvedic treatments. Here you’ll also get access to the indoor heated pool along with a sauna, steam room and Turkish bath. There is also a fitness centre for fitness fanatics to stay fit and healthy even on a holiday to Malta. And for experiencing a fine-dining with a range of delightful international specialities, you can head towards the main buffet restaurant. The resort also has a watermelon juice bar for enjoying a freshly made smoothie along with various healthy options.

Room Information:
It’s time to experience a luxurious yet comfortable stay in one of the rooms offered by the resort as twin rooms, twin sea view rooms, superior sea view rooms and deluxe sea view rooms.

All rooms are beautifully decorated with modern décor and elegantly designed to offer all the comforts you need for enjoying a relaxed holiday. Here you’ll find a balcony where you can spend some time with your loved one while enjoying the sunset views. Other than that, the rooms also feature excellent facilities such as free access to the internet, satellite TV, air-conditioning, direct-dial telephone, coffee/tea maker and en-suite bathroom with a hairdryer. A safety deposit box is made available at a surcharge and you can also enjoy the benefits of a minibar upon request.

NOTE: The new Spa and the new pool will not be ready next week, but we should start using some of the new units.
The current spa is still available and we also have 2 outdoor pools in use already, the beach and the rocky foreshore.
The Mojitos beach terrace, the Alang Alang, the Seabreeze pool bar & casual restaurant (which are all outdoor venues) are available.

Please note: Outdoor pools and beach are available as from May to October. Only one of the three outdoor pools is available all year round, weather permitting.

Construction work is ongoing in the north end of the resort, which is closed off for safety reasons and to reduce visual impact. However, the works are still visible from certain parts of the resort and guests may experience an expected level of disturbance. Staff are doing everything they can to keep inconvenience to a minimum, and outdoor facilities such including two swimming pools and the sandy beach are still open subject to weather conditions. Works are generally being carried out every day between 0700hrs and 1700hrs

Please Note: As of June 2016, each person aged 18+ will be expected to pay the small environmental tax of €0.50c per night whilst staying in any holiday accommodation in the Maltese Islands. The tax is capped at €5 per person and will be collected by the hotel upon your arrival.

10/10 Amazing

19 December 2016

Our relaxing break

We like this hotel and the location is perfect, why would anybody choose to stay in a busy built up area without a seaview, when our room on the 4th floor had an amazing view of the islands, and of course the ferry across is easy to reach. I can't thing how hotels are supposed to improve things if they can't do any building work, the hotel was having work done when we stayed, but it didn't ruin our view unless you decided to look in the direction of the cranes, which actually we enjoyed seeing how well they were working and in december weather as well,I take my hat off to them. We had no dust and the noice was very mimimal. We like to travel around and the bus service just up the road is fantastic and cheap especially when you buy a week pass for €21 which also covers the bus on Gozo. The rooms are kept very clean by lovely staff, and the food in the restaurant is fantastic, once again the staff are great. We had to catch an early flight home,so the restaurant was open can you believe at 2.00am. When we arrived I mentioned to reception that the bed was hard and they changed the mattress,I really can't think where you can do better than this hotel unless you are prepared to spend loads more money. We will return sometime.

The best thing about my stay was...

Everything,lovely staff,friendly people

Room with view of building site and noise

The hotel and staff are great but our balcony was right on top of a building site and the noise from 6.45 am to 7pm ever day just spoilt the whole stay. Could not sit on balcony due to the noise and dust covered everything. There was six of us went and we were not impressed at all

The best thing about my stay was...

When we left and moved to a hotel in Selima after 4 days of noise
6/10 Good

Lovely hotel, area too quiet

The hotel is clean, modern and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is however in the middle of nowhere, except for instant access to Gozo and Comino islands. The local buses are good and we went all over the island on them. Malta does not seem to have a lot of night life. (Nice bars and restaurants) We found the bustling area of St Julian's to be the liveliest for nightlife, but more for younger people. It is deceptively hot in Malta. We had an amazing holiday due to planning excursions, horse riding, jet skiing, beaches, trip to the blue lagoon. So plenty to do if you don't want to sit around a pool.

The best thing about my stay was...

The heat, the Maltese people, the excursions.

Lovely hotel

We stayed in the Junior suite with a sea view and could not fault it. We were half board and there was plenty of choice for breakfast an dinner. Staff were friendly. The only negative may be the location which is a bit remote but the bus stop is only a short walk away and the ferry to Gozo nearby. We bought a seven day bus pass for €21 each which was good value as a single trip is €2. Went on the Blue Waves trip to Comino which was discounted for hotel residents.

The best thing about my stay was...

The room and all the seating areas in the hotel grounds.

Our room was very small for three adults, we our balcony was quite small only enough room to stand I very disappointing Ramla resort and restaurants good they made up for poor accommodation, food in Alang Alang and beach Bar surprisingly good, but they really need to work on there rooms great potential area fabulous. 16 August 2015

10 day stay End of July

We had an excellent holiday . 2 adults and 2 boys 12 and 10 years .We've been coming to Malta off and on over the last 18 years so we knew the location of the hotel and what to expect . Located in the very north of the island it is far way from the hustle and bustle of every day island life . Our room was large and accomodated the four of us very well though as they boys get older we would have to consider interconnecting rooms. We had a large balcony which had a fantastic view of the bay and the regular ferry crossings to Gozo .The room was clean and tidy ;the bathroom spotless and there was a bath ...a bonus. The staff were courteous and polite. The outdoor pools were well maintained (2 family pools and one adult onlypool) .Beware the outdoor pools are salt water , however within a few days you become acclimatised to it and they are certainly less salty than the sea. The indoor pool is lovely (non salinated) but obviously in the summer not used often. The gym is a large room - air-conditioned with 3 treadmills ( unfortunately all eventually stopped working) cross trainer , bike and an assortment of Dumbbells . So if you were expecting the same standard as a commercial gym forget it but it certainly was not a shed as described by one review.Actually we opted to go running very early in the morning so we had view of the sea ,boats and the early shift workers coming off the ferry .Also for the first time ever we were at the early sitting for breakfast .( Number one son opted to stay in bed welcome to teen life) We had the all inclusive and once you worked out the rules ( only a few) it really was good value for money .Top tip the snacks are actually large main meals in themselves (we could never finish them so shared many of the dishes) The main restaraunt provided a good variety at breakfast , lunch and dinner .My husband and I particularly loved breakfast because of the selection of bread which was so fresh.Number two son would have liked to have seen a chef cooking fresh eggs ( omelettes ) ! The hotel staff work very hard .Our empty plates would disappear quietly and quickly the towels in the room replaced daily ( just put them in the bath if you want them changing) and our beds made everyday ( note because of the number of rooms this usually happened in the afternoon not a problem unless you like to have a siesta in your room rather than the sun lounger) The animation team were lovely .They not only had activities for the children ( ours have got to an age where this was not cool) but also for the adults .... Aqua aerobics , water polo, water Pilates ( don't ask ) Zumba .... The two pool side cafe/ bars kept you topped up with either icecreams and smoothies (not in the AI) or soft drinks, beers ,spirits and cocktails The hotel was busier at the weekend when non residents would come to use the facilities ( a good endorsement when the islanders are visiting the hotel) The evening entertainment was provided not only by the animation team but also the hotel would hire a singer every evening. If you want a QUIET relaxing family friendly hotel I would recommend the Ramla Bay resort . However if you are looking for something more akin to Ibiza meets Butlins you need to be in Buggiba or St Juliens. Getting round the island , is not a problem .You can go on organised trips several agents are sitting in the hotel reception to help you here .You can catch the bus ,bus stop is outside the hotel or you can like us hire a car .The latter meant we could visit the attractions/ shopping in our time frame plus the new road ways constructed courtesy of the EU development funds ( has the UK benefited from any of these) means travel around the island is much faster and safer ....We took the sat nav with us and this took the stress out driving . When we first visited the island our only map was on the back of the small Berlitz Guidebook ! To sum up we had a a fabulous holiday very relaxing .yes there was Wifi somewhere but we didn't look for it ( nor did we tell the boys) .So less iPad usage by the boys more reading , playing cards ,gossiping ( yes the two boys did actually partake in this activity and we learnt so much about school life !) eating ,drinking , laughing - all the elements that seem to be disappearing from family life.

The best thing about my stay was...

Relaxing time and we came back with the most fabulous tans

Lovely relaxing week

Fabulous room with sea view and balcony. We were glad we went all inclusive as the food was amazing, great choices and excellent staff continually replenishing the cabinets. The daily maid was excellent as were all the staff - special mention to the bar staff who worked so hard always with a smile. The evening entertainment was lovely, haven't had such a great singalong for ages, one of the guys (Phillip Vella) really knew his audience and had us all up dancing! It is possible to explore using the buses but they are packed and take a long time, would recommend renting a car. We were out of season, therefore not all the facilities were up and running, plus the weather was unusually windy but we still had a lovely break. The beautiful Church in Mellieha is worth visiting, then back to sit on the lovely sunny terraces to sip excellent local wines and watch the antics of the many cats!

The best thing about my stay was...

Amazing food, lovely sunny terraces and excellent staff.

Great hotel

Have been travelling to this resort for many years but this was the first time that we used the hotel, could not fault our stay, other than not having any tea coffee making facilities in the room, solved this with the use of our trusty travel kettle..

The best thing about my stay was...

Daily maid service

Great hotel, friendly staff, grat facilities but looking a bit tired now

The hotel is lovely. It is in a good position, has lovely grounds and lovely facilities and large public areas. the staff are very friendly and do all they can to help, if they can. The rooms are large and they have good facilities. Basically, the hotel is let down by their housekeeping. Several days the floor was not washed (a bin was mover over a couple of drips of tea one day rather than cleaning it up). The carpets in the corridors are stained which is a shame because that is a first impression. We paid extra fro a kettle etc. which we did have but the tea etc. was not replenished. The dining room staff were very efficient and cleaned up tables quickly and well. Other good point - the bar had ouzo!

The best thing about my stay was...

The staff
