Second Visit to Hotel, there wont be a third ...

Visited this hotel in 2016 & really enjoyed our holiday. We therefore booked again this year... However, how things have changed in a matter of 2 years.. the rooms are adequate & always clean. The food quality was good overall, with variety that would cater for anyone, yet, disappointingly as not at the same standard as our previous visit. We booked a day the Cabana on the beach one day, which was really great & we were looked after. The biggest issues & reasons that we would not return was the sheer chaos!! the hotel is totally overcrowded, to the point where I would suggest greed on behalf of Ramada, simply to pack in as many people as humanly possible 100% occupancy to gain revenue. Q for the bar, no seats within the air conditioned reception areas of evening etc… there was no entertainment at the hotel itself of an evening, which is real missed opportunity, given that we did not want to go to the beach area & wait until the end of the kids club & any show to commence at 21.45 – the hotel could have some form of entertainment at the hotel in addition, which would also cater for groups with no young children. Eating times were simply a nightmare, with what felt like being at a football match to try & get your food, accepting that many customers seem to leave their manners at home when they go on holiday. It was a real shame as should be an enjoyable experience as a family when on holiday, however, I wanted to get in & out as soon as possible & even then felt wound up as left the restaurant. Sunbeds.... Oh my God... what can I say... TOTAL NIGHTMARE - If you like to get up early 5.30-6.00am, then this would not be an issue for you. HOWEVER, if like most people when they go on holiday, they want to get up later & not need to rush around etc, then the only option you would have would be to get the short shuttle bus or walk to the beach as ALL the sunbeds would have been taken (generally by very selfish people), who would get up, put their towels on the beds & you would not then see anyone use these until after lunchtime/late afternoon, whilst other people had no sunbeds at all available. There are no rules at all regarding this shocking situation & this alone would prevent me from ever booking at this hotel again. The Ramada needs to urgently sort out this situation as I was not alone feeling so disgruntled by this. I did raise this issue whilst at the hotel to the Guest Relations & it is acknowledged, yet nothing is done to sort it out. Real shame as repeat business is crtical to the success of any business & above points should not be an issue with the right controls in place. However, seems that money & revenue is priority number ONE for Ramada & customer satisfaction lower in this list.. Very disappointed… 

The best thing about my stay was...

Totally satisfied, do not hesitate to go to this fantastic hotel!

Stayed with daughters and grandchildren, we all had a fantastic time. Yes, maybe English is not the staff's first language, but they are all polite, and in return for a little politeness from you, they will eventually understand what you are asking. At no time were we left without a beer / food / learning the best place to fish from or whatever else we wished for! Beach area is second to none, all areas are clean, kiddies disco hit the spot (yep! Barely any English spoken there, but they all understood each other and had big grins on their faces!). Would not hesitate to return

The best thing about my stay was...

Beach area, polite staff.

Relaxed and unpretentious

We spent 2 weeks there in August 2016. The hotel was picked at the last minute due to the collapse of Lowcostholidays and the loss of our original booking. The hotel is at the Kundu end of Lara beach so not in the busy area, but as it was all inclusive this was fine. The hotels guest s are mainly non British - Turkish, Iranian and Dutch not many Russians. We enjoyed the food, but there was no bacon for breakfast. We ate at the Asian restaurant twice ( in the Lara family part of the hotel) the Mexican once and the Fish restaurant ( on he beach) once. We enjoyed the Asian and Mexican but the fish one wasn't great. The service at the beach restaurant in the day was must more relaxed / better than the usual buffet crush at the main restaurant, but that's to be expected on all inclusive style dining. Some staff may appear on first appearance to be a touch reluctant , but we felt this was more a lack of confidence in speaking English ( as said the Brits are not their main clients ). Note for TV lovers, there were only 3 English language channels , BBC world, CNN and NHK (Japanese news channel). The Wifi in the hotel is free, but most of the time it is too slow to download films or stream videos etc. most of the time ( I did it once at 6 am before most guests were online). We hired one of the 6 beach cabanas (Euro 30 per day) on 3 separate days, and it was very relaxing with a stocked cool box of drinks, safe for your valuables, and waiter service for your lunch and snacks, (thanks Omit and Mesut - lovely young men doing a grand job! ). The beach was great, the sea lovely and warm, a continuous free shuttle bus takes your there ( it's almost as quick to walk tbh) and the restaurant and bars there are very chilled, much nicer than sitting around the pool which feels a touch crowded and noisy. We didn't get too involved ( other than the daily air rifle shooting contest at the beach at 4pm) with the animation team but they were very active arranging games and so on during the day. We'd didnt manage to go to any of the evening shows but they looked like fun. The transfer to the resort is about 20 minutes so that's nice, and we took the bus (LC07) into Antalya a few times to shop in the old market and go for lunch and a boat ride from the marina. The buses are frequent and reliable and cheap as chips. We booked a quad bike tour with the little operater at his booth round the corner from the hotel entrance for about Euro 20 for a two hour session, which was enjoyable. Overall this was a very relaxing holiday, and I'd quite happily stay at the Ramada Resort again.

The best thing about my stay was...

We enjoyed hiring a cabana on 3 days of our stay, great service from Omit & Mesut!

Was not that great!

We spent a week there this August on an all inclusive. The hotel boasts 5☆ but I would say it was more 4. The rooms were very basic and the meal times were not very flexible. The food was not all great but some tasty options available. Though there was A LOT of variety the food was mostly not flavoursome. Kids ended up eating mainly chips and other things we normally eat in England. We were hoping to eat either more international cuisine rotating every day, or the better end of authentic Turkish food. The meal times were breakfast 7-10 Snack bar 12-4 Lunch 11-2 Patisserie 4-6 Dinner 6.30-9 We arrived at the hotel after dinner but they did cater for those who flew in later starting at 11.30pm. The snacks went down better with both myself and the children but a shame it was not considered a snack but rather lunch. We had ice cream served and little buns at the Patisserie. Ice cream good but buns awful. The concierge area was the coolest part of the building so ended up spending quite a lot of relaxed time there with our rather large group of family. The kids loved the pool including the slides. You were served slush and sweetcorn too. The AC had a mind of its own and was remotely controlled at times. We didn't take pin converters so be sure to take yours. The rooms were not cleaned to the standard you'd expect at a 5☆ hotel. The beach was about a 5 minute walk where you have more food and drinks/slush available. Sometimes the journey put us off and when you got there, the washing facilities/toilets were quite far from the actual beach area. Overall it was pleasant but not worth the stars they claim.

The best thing about my stay was...

The pools.

More than value for money

Room excellent, for many reasons. (1) comfort, (2) View and the cleaners changing the towels every day not to mention the well stocked mini bar as part of the all inclusive.

The best thing about my stay was...

I have never been a fan of all inclusive as in the past it has meant being the last to be served and usually with inferrior drinks but not at the Ramada where everyone was treated like a first class guest.

Ramada Resort Lara - Antaliya

Very Nice Hotel and good service. I enjoyed my stay and staff gave me a good room with good views. The family had fun. Would recommend hotel and would love to come back again. Most staff are friendly (99.9%) with the exception of one waiter who was behaving rudely was telling customers off if they sat in the lobby and ate food, where food is not allowed. Need to be a bit more customer focused. It did not bother me that much to be honest.

The best thing about my stay was...

in door swimming pool - aah that was nice and very worm. The outside swimming pool was very cold and really suitable for hot summer. I also enjoyed the Gym.

Ramada Resort Hotel

Hotel Ramada cannot be classed as a 5 star more like a poor 3 star. The staff were apathetic, lazy and miserable. The food was cold and very unappetizing. Service was very poor. We were there for a week - the longest week in my life. the lounge area is the reception area. No room to relax and no activities. The beach is across a busy main road. Have been to Lara Beach several times and have always had a lovely time. The Ramada was a great disappointment.

The best thing about my stay was...

The Al a carte restaurant.

Food Glorious Food

First class hotel, I have never seen so much food on offer in an all inclusive in all my life, it was impossible not to find something you liked. Excellent location and with their own beach, and the fact that they had their own bar and restaurant on the beach, you could have stayed there all day if you wanted, and then back at the hotel, two pools including an indoor one.

The best thing about my stay was...

Everything was superb
