JUST WOW !

Just got back from a fab holiday at this hotel..just amazing ..Great staff , they could not do enough for you. Close to the shops and night life of naama bay. Bus to the lovely beach every hour .(10 mins ) Fantastic room...Beautifully clean and luxurious. Food was great for me as a vegetarian, lots of salads and fruit. Buffet stlye but a chef was on duty to make fresh pasta's and omlettes etc for you Just a few negatives: bar closed at 11 pm and not able to get an all inclusive drink anywhere. ! Roof top pool very very cold , unless you were brave it was too cold to go in, Entertainment was not great although the team of youngsters did try very hard

The best thing about my stay was...

Everything, mainly been made to feel welcome from arrival

A Decent Hotel for a Decent Price

If you're looking for a la carte food this is not the hotel for you...having said that...this was a decent hotel at a decent price... Staff-Friendly and helpful and a special thankyou to Ayman who had all kinds of patience when I had computer troubles, to Romeo for good conversations and to Achmed who had my mint tea and diet coke ready for me eveery morning. Rooms- Spacious cleasn and tidy...although the bathrooms are a bit tired looking. Food-As I said not a la carte but decent enough Overall- You can't go wrong by staying at this hotel...It'd probably one of Sharms best kept secrets

The best thing about my stay was...

I had my pick of sunbeds every morning, and the staff couldn't be nicer

What a whirlwind....

The rooms are of the large side and the king bed is simply massive! Bedding cleaned every day and fresh toiletries and towels too. Food freshly cooked in front of you every breakfast/lunch and dinner but not so much in variety - chicken/fish/beef and pasta by gallon! Rice is also amazing. Wine drinkable, beer variable and the "sex on the roof" cocktail much fun - thanks Ahmed!! Thanks to the staff who make this place even more of an enjoyable stay - with exception to the receptionist who had the attitude, wish I got his name!!!

The best thing about my stay was...

Ahmed at the pool bar and fact that we had the pool to ourselves!!

Relaxing and Comfortable

Recently renamed to Ramada Plaza, ex Royal Plaza, and undergoing re-furb. This was our 2nd time at this hotel. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds & all facilities, tea/coffee etc and aircon. Mostly Russians and Brits, with a few Mid Eastern family groups. Meals were Western menus mainly and quite good and plentiful. Always beef & chicken available plus a la cart Spaghetti/Pasta plates and omelettes. BBQ food twice weekly. Rooftop pool and Bar is a very good suntrap with nice views over Naama Bay's surrounding mountains and town and has poolside food service menu. Hotels own beach, in a sheltered bay, is a 20 min bus ride south on the Hotel's own bus every hour. The sea there is much warmer than the Hotel pool, great for snorkelling. Hotel located 200 mtrs from Naama Bay entertainment area it is an easy walk there for Restaurants, Bars and gift shops. Staff are very pleasant and helpful and remembered us from last year.

The best thing about my stay was...

Warm winter Sunshine

A very relaxing and satisfying trip indeeed

First impressions are the last, hotel beautiful in marble and very grand looking. The service and staff are just as brillant, esp one of the reception managers Mr Badwi a very jolly and very helpful chap indeed. Our maid was so obliging he changed our towels n sheets daily, and always provided extra tea n coffee in our room. In the Spa Hassan the salesman was also very friendly and helped us with providing us with a good contact for local excursion called Mimo he is found on the private beach that the hotel has & a daily every 30 min bus shuttle takes you there n back. Mimo also very friendly and has become a good friend, so any excusions required for any water or safari etc he is the man and much more cheaper than other places. We went on a bed n breakfast basis and that was good, the restaurnat was clean and had a good choice on foods n beverages, but we like to venture out to other places so happy with just the morning run. The hotel location was perfect, 5 min walk and your in Naama Bay, any closer would mean sheer noise after 10pm as it gets very loud music from the local clubs and tourists, and if you go with little children sleeping would be a sheer problem. but ths hotel is just right as you are central without the headaches. so no taxis needed unless going out of naama bay. We also met with Rod the GM of the hotel, worth saying hello if you going from UK has his British. I told him a few changes and Improvements needed such as having a heated pool for the winter, as we went over the christmas period, and although we had 25 deg temperatures the pool was ice cold, he will be looking into installing this, also the butter in the morning breakfast is frozen, his also going to address this vital need. Otherwise all was brillant, we would definately go back to this place again when going to Sharm, you will not be disapoointed. They also have a hair n beauty salon, the spa provieds a good massage and small gym, jacuzzi but cold and steam room was good. They also have entertainemnt in the evenings and the crew are mostly british, and very friendly and mixing with all.

The best thing about my stay was...

room comfort

Not reaching it's Potential, Staff appauling, some dodgy goings on

Check in takes approximately 45 minutes, you are greeted you stand you wait as they argue amongst themselves. Finally you are allocated a room and taken to it in our case, not to de-similar to a basement. Paid for a pool view room with balcony got a room underground with a meger view of large fence and garden. After raising this issue with the check in clerk he said "maybe we change you tomorrow" (he said that everyday we were there). Onwards and upwards not going to let this ruin the holiday we proceeded to breakfast, now I know hotels vary in what they call breakfast but fighting with upto 20 russians for a pancake takes the mickey a bit, the food itself is almost unbearable to the point where I would advise you to miss breakfast entirely or go hungry either one is a better option. Towels...now your probably thinking thats random why mention towels.. well it would appear that the staff have an excuse for entering your room randomly whilst you are not there to "replace your already clean towels" we caught one as we entered the room unannounced to see a very suprised and somewhat stumped arab chap lurking through our room. He then proceeded to ask for 10 LE (Egyptian pounds) for no apparent reason so I told him to "jog on". Plus points are the roof top pool terrace with a non equipped bar and russian domination besides that the highlight of the hotel it has to be said. We have heard rumours that the Ramada are taking over the hotel in a number of weeks and have cut 80% of existing staff and re-employed new staff the ones we faced, well I believe Ramada had better cut 95% and start again all over again.

Great vacation

I just came back from this hotel, it was my second time there and I spend a beautiful vacation! I was with 2 friends and our rooms was very large, clean and confortable, we were on BB basis and breakfast was so good, employees very helpful and kind; Wellness center very cute and staff very serious. The hotel is so close to the hearth of naama bay that you don't neet to take taxi to go out in the night, just 5 minutes walk from discos, shops, shisa bar and every attraction that sharm can offer. The beach is in sharm el maya, 10 minutes by shuttle bus...it's quite nice but no reef and you can't compare it to other bays like pacha bay, shark's bay or nabq but anyway not bad. I surely will suggest this hotel to my friends!

Never again!

We stayed here in July this year. On arrival into the reception area it looks like a nice hotel but don't be fooled by the nice marble decor. There wasn't a westerner in sight. Most of the reception staff were arrogant. One guy was nice, he showed us to our room. The room was very spacious and was cleaned everyday which was good. The air conditioning worked perfectly, thank God as it was well needed. We were all inclusive. Definitely not a good choice if you are thinking of choosing this hotel. The hygiene standards leave a lot to be desired. Day after day the milk was poured into the jug and it was obvious it wasn't washed out daily as there was several rings of stale milk coating the jug. The food was aimed towards Easterner's and Russians for example "foul" for breakfast, it certainly looked foul. There was a lack of fruit, the only fruit was at dinnertime, melon as a dessert. I did request fruit on numerous occasions but got none in the two weeks. There was chicken wings on the menu one day and on biting into them they were pink and red. I could go on and on. The drinks that are included in the all inclusive are available until 11pm. They will only give beer by glass which is a bit annoying because it is only a small glass so you have to keep going to the bar. The entertainment in the hotel isn't very good. The location of the hotel is good, within walking distance to naama bay. I would definitely not stay here again.
