Good location but you must get sea view, courtyard rooms have an awful view, looks like a prison yard. Only B& B but food wasn’t what you expect from 4 star. Pool area is lovely and straight out onto the sea, like most of Malta there is no beach, just rocks. Nice restaurants nearby and the bars of Bugibba are only a 10 minute walk away
The best thing about my stay was...The view from the balcony

Great Stay on the Sea Front
We are just back after spending 5 nights in the Qawra Palace Hotel. The hotel has a great setting as it sits on the seafront. Our room, situated on the 6th floor had stunning views of the pool and sea. The bedroom we had was modern, fresh and light. Our friends room however, was really dated and air con didn’t work properly. The staff in the hotel aren’t the friendliest, which is disappointing in regard to setting first impressions. The pool area was quite cramped due to the high volumes of people. The loungers are so uncomfortable, unless you buy a mattress- of which there weren’t enough of when we went to buy!!! The breakfast was average, and actually very bland. The scrambled eggs were lying in water. Overall however, I enjoyed our stay as it is close to different attractions in the area.
The best thing about my stay was...The view from our balcony

Qawra Hotel Review
Hotel seems to have been recently updated. Rooms very spacious and clean. Cleaners daily with fresh towels. Bathroom looked brand new. Pool was very nice with plenty of sun loungers. Buffet breakfast was included which was definitely a bonus. Bus stop just outside. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Small fridge in the room which is handy. WiFi is free in reception area but you can pay a small charge to use the WiFi around the hotel although I used my free mobile data for the duration of the stay. I found the reception staff very helpful.

Great hotel on the sea front

Hotel is a little dated, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice in the restaurant, if you arrive after dinner, they will give you a free lunch, if you are on half board
The best thing about my stay was...Location on the seafront, bus stop outside

Not ideal for yound families and definitely not 4 stars
R Bhugobaun, London
From our arrival at 1:30am, it was unpleasant. The receptionist asked us to pay for the tax before checking us in. We only had pounds with us and she wouldn't take pounds. She said it had to be euros. So she made us go to a cash dispenser to get euros at 1:30 am... I even offered to give a £20 note as a holding deposit and pay the 4 euros in the morning but she refused. We had 3 small children with us. Please have euros ready! Once in the room, on the 8th floor, going through 3 corridors with 4 sets of closed doors with our luggage, we got to the room only to find that we had 4 single beds and a broken bathroom sink plug lever with the sink closed. Reported and was told that we had to wait until the morning. So it was not done straight away like we had to pay for the 4 euros straight away. Had to report it again in the morning to get it sorted though. The hotel itself is dated inside, the menu in the restaurant is not of good quality at all and not of great taste. The indoor swimming isn't big at all. There is no beach close by. Last but not least, the internet is only free in the lobby area and you'd have to pay extra to have wifi in the rooms. With young kids these days, wifi is a must in the rooms, especially when the kids tv channels were either in Maltese or Italian...
The best thing about my stay was...Proximity to the aquarium.

Hotel a bit dated but overall not bad
Hotel is in a great location, we were there only 3 nights but can tell food was average, Saturday's lunch and dinner were without any taste, but Sunday's great selection of food. Amazing views from hotel, swimming pool area well designed, everyone can find a place for sunbathing. Staff very friendly and great. There are 2 hot tubes, but most of the time taken by kids, there should be more control over it. Hotel defiantly needs refurbishment as rooms are a bit dated.
The best thing about my stay was...Swimming pool area

The hotel apart from bedroom was freezing no heat in dining room or entertainment room , cold and draughty on passageways throughout the hotel lots of people openly complaining to management but nothing done infact quite rude when I complained and others . was told well put your coat on. To be told to put a coat on in the lounge is disgusting People had scarves blankets and coats on whilst sat in dining area and lounge areas Myself and my husband certainly would not return to this hotel
The best thing about my stay was...No comment
