Best for relaxation & away from everything
3rd year running - i love it, UK
A small resort, very big pool, only did self catering (brunch) into resort central for choice of two restaurants for dinner. On site dining is available even if going self-catering (all inclusive is an option). Very friendly and helpful staff. This was my third visit - 3 years running, and may well go back next year. If you want excitement forget it, if you want a real chill out away from the crowds this is it!
The best thing about my stay was...Staff all very pleasant and approchable, appartment cleaned every day, mega pool, quiet apart from a few goats seen from balcony.

Simply the best!!!!

We have just returned from this beautiful holiday. The bungalow was spacious and clean and the pool was just outside our door.the staff were so friendly and Antonio the manager did everything to make our holiday so pleasant. The food was so nice especially in the Italian restaurant, and the bar snack menu had lots to choose from.the pools were lovely and entertainment on every night. There is a free train that picks you up outside the hotel to the sister hotels, only 5 mins travel, there is a beautiful cove to explore at the back of the hotel, takes about 20 mins to walk. Definitely booking for nxt year.
The best thing about my stay was...The friendly staff and gorgeous food.

Our 4th visit, the resort has recently changed hands, but still freindly and clean, though a little tired. Heads up, if you want to eat on a Saturday night in the restaurant , make sure reserve the day before, no room for sponternaity!
The best thing about my stay was...Clean and comfortable

pleasant apartments in an attractive setting
Las Palmeras apartments are positioned in attractive, well maintained gardens around a large, clean pool. They are reasonably furnished and spacious with well stocked kitchens. The air conditioning did not work in our apartment but fortunately the bedroom had a ceiling fan. We did not eat on site at all and felt the apartments were under staffed, as the reception desk staff member also worked in the restaurant. We did not receive any maid service during our four night stay and no change of towels during this time. You need a car to fully enjoy this area as facilities in S`Algar are limited.
The best thing about my stay was...the lovely pool area

Great place, great holiday
Geoff W, North East
Four of us all 50+ have just enjoyed a great holiday at Las Palmeras. It's a great base for looking around Menorca. We were self catering which is what we prefer but ate a couple of times at the hotel restaurant and the food was good. The facilities are very good and well kept, the staff are friendly and helpful. Las Palmeras is very quiet but you can use the facilities of the nearby (much livelier) hotel if you want. One word or warning - it is at the very end of the island and I would advise anyone to hire a car to get around. Menorca is an unspoilt gem.

Lovely complex and very clean. Apartment had air conditioning (very welcome) and excellent maid service twice weekly. Staff very friendly and helpful, requested additional pillows as we prefer 2. Short walk into S'Algar and surrounding area, which we enjoyed most days and in the evenings to bars and restaurants in S'Algar and Alculfar. Generally quiet, not overdeveloped for tourists. Will definitely go back.

We stayed at these apartments in July 2007. Apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. Pool area was lovely. Nice mix of nationalities staying in complex. Hire car is a must if you want to see a bit of the island and also allows you to go further afield to find bigger choice of restaurants/tapas bars. S'algar itself is very small with only one (non-hotel) restaurant and one bar. There was no entertainment at Las Palmeras but our children (11 and 10) didn't mind as we used the car to go out in the evenings.

Accommodation was clean and tidy. Kitchen facilities were limited if you plan to self cater for more than one or two nights. Beds were a bit hard and bedding was limited (e.g only one small pillow per person).

Apartment had nice terrace facing onto pool area but there was constant music playing from the pool bar.

Our family have enjoyed this resort every time we have (6 years running)been.we have especialy enjoyed going in the beautiful pool and the sea at salgar.the bars/resturants are very good, especially the pizzeria at the resort!.The apartments are well laid out with good facilities, the beds are comfortable.we also love relaxing at the side of the pool reading a book or listening to our mp3's. The weather has always been hot and sunny but with a refreshing breeze.
