Very friendly off the tourist trail hotel
In the two weeks we stayed, there were only a few English tourists. The majority were Spanish and quite a few German couples. The hotel is virtually on the beach, making 4/5 miles of flat walking along the esplanade. There was plenty of choice of food which was well presented. The staff were very helpful /
The best thing about my stay was...The view from our room and balcony

lovely beach hotel
Patsy Dundee, Dundee
A lovely peaceful way to start your day; breakfast over-looking the mediteranian sea. Food is of a good standard with freashly cooked fish or meat at each meal. However, the vegetables were tasteless, which is unfortunate considering the fresh produce of Almeria. The staff who cooked the food 'on the spot' were very friendly and nothing was a problem. The rooms were large and clean, however a comfortable easy chair would have been appreciated rather than the hard wooden chair provided. The evening entertainment was not ... entertaining! Accessability is a bit of a problem. The main entrance has no independent access - no self opening doors. Access to and from outside pool was via a door that was wedged open with a small wooden block, although it could be that other access is possible when all hotel facilities are open. We were there 8 - 18 of April. I was there with my 9 yr old son. Weather wasn't brilliant so heated indoor pool was very welcome indeed. a 10 minute bus ride to Almeria is a must to experience fantastic tapas bars and visit the pretty Spanish plazas. Lack of free wifi was a problem. You get free wifi at the cathedral plaza in Almeria, you would think this large chain of hotels would offer this service as standard.
The best thing about my stay was...The view from the restaurant would be enough to entice me back. We also had a lovely sea, port and mountain view from the balcony.

Another enjoyable stay
Trish Williams, Cheltenham/Albox Spain
We have stayed at The Playadulce Hotel many times. The staff are lovely, breakfast outstanding and although there is plenty of hot food on the buffet tables, if you want poached/scrambled egss or whatever, just ask the chef with a very smikey face and he will be happy to oblige. We always arrive home feeling relaxed. Our only irritation ( as always) is that you only get one free hours WiFi per day, so during our 4 day stay I had to spend €12 on internet access which nowadays should be free, but due to problems in the UK I unfortunately had to deal with them whilst we were there, hense paying out for WiFi.
The best thing about my stay was...You are always made to feel welcome

Wifi only free for 1 hour a day!!! . Food was good with chef cooking fresh fish/ meat to order. Generally very good, will go again!!

GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY
Bridget Gibbons, West Midlands
We picked this hotel because we were looking for a relaxing all inclusive week and didnt intend to stray far, it worked well for that. Room was spacious with 2 double beds, bathroom very big but no bidet. We were on 10th floor with pool/sea view, encountered no delays with waiting for lifts. Pool and sunbathing area was very nice although poolside bar wasnt open. Good all inclusive bar selection but no cocktails. Restaurant was roomy with plenty of tables overlooking the sea/promenade. Food was a bit repetitive but we always found something to eat. Overall it didn't stand out, but found nothing to complain about

Review of 'PLAYADULCE'
The facilities in the hotel are good. The rooms have great views of the sea and bathrooms are clean and large. They are plenty big enough for a couple with a young child under 7yrs. The public rooms are all clean and comfortable, the dining room, large and airy and the outdoor pool is fantastic with plenty of sunbeds and clean towels.<br />The only downside is the food. Although plentiful, it is repetitive and often tasteless. Not a lot of British families stay there, mainly Spanish families were there which is not ideal if you have young children who cannot speak the local language.
