Nice stay with children
Really nice Staff, a lot of atractions for children, amazing animators. For adults quiet pool, we could rest without children, delicious food. It has good location near town, port and beautiful beaches !
The best thing about my stay was...There was a lot of people, although there was not crack.

good place for family with children
Village placed in the middle of nowhere so people who like busy night life wan't find too much for them in this place. We were accomodated in large villa, which was cleaned daily. We had half board which is fair enough as you can go for some trip and don't wander you loose some dinner but of course there are available other options. good point for families with children is mini club free of charge 10-1 and 3-5. food different every day big choice. lots of animations thruogh a day. pool with good few slides again lots of fun for kids but water freezing cold. little shop on side - not too much too buy but basic stuff available.
The best thing about my stay was...friendly staff and food

great villas food (all inclusive)ok we don't eat meat so much less choice, frezzing cold pools for children never get warmer even in the afternoon where water is 35cm deep - terrible as we weren't able to use the pool we went there once children lips became purple after ten minutes, they have nice warm pool for adults but no children allowed there. Terrible experiance
The best thing about my stay was...facilities

Had a good stay. B&B deal, found food to be of good standard and varied. Rooms of good standard which were cleaned regularly. Complex is remote so a hire car is recommended especially as the shop on site does not have alot to offer if you are self catering. Weather was not great for us -generally cloudy with very strong winds- nice when the sun did briefly appear! To summarize our 7 year old had a brilliant time enjoying what the resort had to offer, food was good with no complaints at all. The bar staff worked flat out but there was always a queue -the all inclusive gang getting their worth. Don't forget the hire car for your shopping and trips to Olivia and el cotillo beach
The best thing about my stay was...nice clean accommodation, very good breakfast selection, superb water park, children facilities were excellent, generally friendly staff,

Lovely large, spacious villas, fully equipped. Lovely food and a variety - something for everyone. Very clean, helpful and friendly staff. Great water park and animation program. Car is recommended to explore the area.

Nice venue, food could of been better.
Stayed with my 2 kids. Appartments are beautiful. ..the food was pretty gross. We go all inclusive every year to the canaries and this has been the worst food so far. Also all inclusive food not available from pool bar which is annoying and most hotel's offer this as standard. The hotel is very very isolated and this is not helped by there being no 24hour facilities on site to buy food or water. As we arrived at 2am my children couldn't get a glass of water till next day...not ideal. Majority of staff were friendly however one of the pool lifeguards came over to me and started pointing at rubbish on the floor and drinks with fag butts in and saying "u clean up' I was trying to explain to her that it was not our mess but she was adamant so I ended up clearing up after other guests. The all inclusive cocktails are disgusting. ...all made out of a machine which I have never seen before. ...yuk. they taste really fake. The venue has the potential to be amazing but food and drink and isolation lets it down massively.

Great family friendly Hotel
Just returned from a fantastic 9 day break at Origo Mare in Fuerteventura. We stayed bed and breakfast in a self contained 2 bed villa. Villa was great value for family (2bathrooms yipes) , Main complex and water park very nicely designed. Breakfast selection was vast and of good quality, kids loved the freshly cooked pancakes and churros with chocolate sauce! Located 10 mins from the nearest town so recommend a car as it's a great base for exploring. 15 mins drive to El Cotillo or Correlejo. Lots of surfing, kitesurfing, swimming and snorkelling spots within easy drive. We have lots of videos up just search twoplustwocrew Origo Mare. If you want nightclubs/nightlife it's probably not for you. Few issues we had with the rooms were quickly resolved by the maintenance man who happened to be a surfer and was able to give some great info on the local surf breaks! We really enjoyed ourselves, only problem was that we had trouble getting the kids to leave the kids club and water park to go and explore! had a relaxed time and would love to go back.
The best thing about my stay was...Crater Park and Location

Good but not great
Jailguitardoors , London
Had to ask to be moved on the first day as wall socket in kitchen was hanging off the wall and shower had no door so bathroom was flooded when shower was used, moved quickly but was inconvient having to pack everything up again. No wifi at all unless you had brought a computer to plug into Ethernet at reception which wasn't good as I needed to access wifi due to work. Why was the resort advertised as having wifi? I wouldn't have booked it if I knew this was the case, feel ripped off over this as it spoiled the week, there is also no uk channels on TV except news, everthing else is in German or Spanish, this is a problem when you have young kids who just want to veg out in front of the TV after dinner, again it was advertised as having a number of English channels. It doesn't. Staff and food was very good and was pleased with booking half board. Don't worry about a car as it has a free shuttle bus at 10.30 every morning to take you to nearest town and beach. Needs some time to sort out the resort as it's basically not ready yet!

Quiet with a very good water park
Dave Lyons, West Midlands
We're a family of four with a boy 13 and girl 10 and stayed in a 1 bedroom villa with sofabed which was quite small relative to 1 bed apartments we've stayed in elsewhere. Origo Mare was originally designed as a housing development but bought by Pierre et Vacances a few years ago, the villas are in small blocks with each block having a pool and tennis or games court (each block is called an Oasis). These pools were very quiet as most go to the water park and often you're the only one in there. The oases are 50m+ apart and depending on where you're located you'll have a walk of several hundred meters, albeit on the flat, to get to the shared facilities i.e. restaurant, bar and waterpark. As our aircon failed and the promised repair didn't happen we were offered an upgrade to VIP- very disappointing as you only get the same size villa with a washing machine, bathrobes and espresso maker but at the very far end of the resort which was over 500m away. While its right on the coast walking out of the complex to it takes at least 10-15 minutes and there's nothing to see when you get there. The food is good, breakfast is very good and evening meals are just about on a par with other 4 star places we've stayed in. Wine starts at about 15 Euros bottle and beer is about 3.8 Euros for 3/4 pint. Gin and tonic will cost you 5.5 Euros. The onsite shop has frozen, tinned and packet foods but little fresh fruit, veg or salad and with very small kitchenettes I think self catering would be a struggle unless you do the 10 minute each way drive to the nearest supermarket in Lajares. Entertainment great if you have small children but for older kids & adults disappointing as there are dance shows most nights of the week which only last from 10pm to about 10.20pm. Strangely, they have an outdoor late night Zumba lesson for Tuesday's entertainment and a family pool party Sunday which doesn't start until 10.30pm. One night they had a very good duo singing but that was about it, otherwise its very quiet and the nearest alternative entertainment is a 20 min drive away along a coastal road which is basically an unlit dirt track on which you risk damaging your hire car. The water park is very good, safe for small children and ok for older ones with a small wave pool and small slides, 2 of 3 of which are surprisingly good. Bike hire pointless unless you're a serious rider going miles as there is literally nothing in the surrounding area to make a pleasure ride interesting. Overall this is a good choice for anyone looking to spend a week by the pool relaxing. If you're looking for any kind of varied entertainment, like walks by the sea and mooching round shops or bars then its not for you unless you want to spend lots of time in the car. While Fuertenvenura is small journeys take a long time due to the roads being very slow and twisty round volcanoes, the drive from the airport takes 45 minutes. Wifi not great but I got a pretty good 3g signal most of the time. If you get it as a last minute bargain like we did and do a few trips out then you'll have a good time but if you have time and choice there are many places with comparable facilities in much better locations.
The best thing about my stay was...The lack of reasons to stay up too late drinking too much!!

Unlimited poolside rest and food!
Sarah Lumley, South London
We’re a family of 5 spanning teenage to age 5 and have just returned from 1 weeks stay at this superbly relaxing brand new resort. It’s in a very remote location so most days were spent relaxing by one of the various pools. If you want unlimited poolside rest and excellent food book this. If you want to explore the Island get a hire car or stay further south. We managed day trips to the Caldera Hondo (nearby volcano), Isle de Lobos (via boat), El Cotillo and Corellejo beaches. Day trips can be booked from reception if you have no car. We’d highly recommend the beaches and sand dunes south of Corellejo. The crater park has several pools and slides, excellent for kids but water a bit cold, apparently they are working on it. There are other smaller pools near your villa – we enjoyed both. The adult only pool and sunbathe area looked very tranquil. Take towels as the towels provided in the villas are not allowed poolside. You can rent clean towels for the pool but pricey. There is a shuttle bus to the beach or you can drive 20 mins to several beautiful local beaches. The villas are large and comfortable with kitchenette, multiple bathrooms and a/c. VIP lodges get washing machine and more frequent cleaning. They are perfectly suited for families over 4 people. We went half board but kitchenette ok for self-catering with mini shop on site selling essentials. We ate breakfast and dinner on site at the main restaurant and food was amazing. Breakfast had everything from continental to full English, all fresh. Dinner was themed, with every night offering food from a different country. There was also salad, a choice of freshly grilled meats, chips and child friendly food, even free baby food and a microwave! I’ve not eaten so much good food for a long while. At dinner you have to pay for all drinks, breakfast drinks are free. After dinner there is a kids mini disco which went down very well, then evening family entertainment. We did not use the kids clubs, gym or other sports facilities but they looked very good and were very popular. You can hire equipment on site, even bikes. The 18 hole mini golf went down well with the kids but would suit anyone. Free WiFi was on offer in the restaurant and reception area but was hardly ever working – I’m sure they’ll fix this and it gave us a week off emails! Reception, maintenance, concierge, cleaning and all other staff on site and were friendly and helpful but pay for VIP if you prefer frequent changes of towels and bedding otherwise only bed making, basic cleaning and 1 towel change was on offer. We’d highly recommend this for all ages. I expect this resort will only get better and better as it opens fully.
The best thing about my stay was...Great water park, fabulous food!
