2nd time there and would go back!
This was our 2nd stay at Paradise Costa Taurito and we would go back so I think that says it all! It's a great location, 5 minute walk at the most to the beach and has a bus stop nearby with a frequent bus service to Puerto Mogan, Puerto Rico etc. The rooms were spacious, the hotel was clean throughout and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good but not great, something for everyone though so you wont go hungry! It has a great pool with plenty of loungers and plenty of activities for everyone such as tennis, mini golf, arcades and whatever the animation team put on for you. There's a water park but we didn't go there so can't comment and a supermarket and gift shops in the resort. If you're looking for a resort with plenty of nightlife then this place isn't for you however if you want a quiet relaxing holiday near the beach with options for days out then this is for you!
The best thing about my stay was...Close to beach and loved the pool and bar

Had a great time. All staff very friendly, comfortable rooms. We enjoyed getting involved in the daytime entertainment, I think that really made our stay. Food was good. Can't fault it.
The best thing about my stay was...Everything.

All in all, a very pleasant stay

Holiday dates: 24.08.12 - 31.08.12 My first holiday review so will try to be concise as possible. FOOD:- Fine without being exciting, not huge choices. Breakfast was fine, the usual eggs and Spanish style bacon, European frankfurters rather than English style sausages. The show cooking was very dissapointing, omelettes were prepared but you had no opportunity to customise e.g. add ham or vegetables. The chefs were very Po faced, unsmiling, uncommunicative, jobsworthy. Evening meals often included the lunchtime leftovers, chopped up and turned into a rissoto or salad... Veal (I realise not everyone favours this but my family always looks forward to this dish) was a joke. Great slabs of it chopped up tough old aged bull. Plenty of pasta dishes, chicken and fish, lovely fresh rolls. Deserts... bland and repetitive. You won't go hungry, you just won't rave about it. Drinks....plenty of wine, beer, spirits and fizzy drinks. Cocktails, plenty of alcohol content but none of the finesse e.g a Pina Colada without the cream....and yes I know its all-inclusive and you get what you pay for. Hotel POOL:- Fabulous, really warm, a first for me, I've come to expect all pools to be freezing. Beach towels can be rented for 1 euro (I think) a day. Hamburgers, hot dogs and cheese/ham toasties all free. Animation team: Excellent, friendly and always laying on plenty of games for adults and children alike. Try the water polo...great laugh. Water Park: Very good but surprisingly my kids and it seemed most of the kids in the hotel preferred the hotel pool after a day or so at the park. Sun loungers are 2 euros here but if you go for an hour or two as we did a couple of times, chances are you won't get nabbed. Drinks are still all-inclusive at the park but no snacks available. BTW, nowhere at the hotel or the park are icecreams/lollies all inclusive. BEACH: Gritty dark sand but thats Gran Canaria for you. The pluses far outweighed the minuses, best body surfing I've ever done, kids had a whale of a time body boarding on the big waves. There is a lifeguard but at no time did I feel any danger from rip tides etc. Perhaps a bit rough for toddlers, not exactly a gentle swell. I think the loungers and brollys here were 3 euros each. ENTERTAINMENT: Evenings mostly centred at the arena. All inclusive drinks here, not enough bar staff but they do really look after the kids and keep an eye out for adults pushing them out of the way to get to the bar. You will have to get here early to get a table, we are late eaters so never got there in time so can't really comment on the quality of the shows. Back at the hotel its quieter with a pool table and an occasional evening with a guy on a piano. SPA: In another hotel, not free, think it was 10 euros a visit. WI-FI: 6 euros/day, 25/week. Its next to useless, could'nt pick it up at all in the foyer (reception admitted it was a black spot!) and someone else I spoke to was only able to send an email at 4.00AM from there room. My suggested improvements if Management read this:- WI-FI...lots of kids like to fool around on facebook in the evenings, improve the wifi and make it free....its suppossed to be all inclusive after all. Pool table: Get some chalk! Chefs: Fire them and get some customer friendly ones. Animation team: Give them a payrise. All in All you wont be dissapointed, very pleasant holiday.
The best thing about my stay was...Pool

Never choose this hotel!!!!!!
Izabela Nakonieczny, Dublin
I just came back from my holidays in Costa Taurito and cant say a lot of good things about this hotel. My, my husband and another couple have spend 11 nights over there, we had paid for all inclusive option. I start from the beginning, on our booking confirmation we suppose to get two doubele rooms beside eachother with seaview. Of course none of that happen. Rooms had two single beds and were on the forth and second floor and the only thing we could see was back wall of different hotel. We claimed that in the reception straight away but nothing change. Thats only little thing. As I said we paid for all inclusive option, and I dont think management of this hotel understand a meaning of all inclusive. Food was horrible, we had to go out good few times to get something to eat, because it was immposible to eat. So after all inclusive option we had go out to restaurants. If anybody missed breakfast, lunch or dinner there was an option to go to pool bar for snacks (????) you could choose between hamburger (plain bun with little bit of meat) hot dog (plain hot dog bun with sausuage) or toasted ham and chees sandwich and thats all. You could get that only some days because usually there was no option and those snacks were not available. So if anybody was angry, had to wait or go to the shop, I think its JOKE!!!!!! The worst thing happen on last morning. We had morning flight and we had ordered morning breakfast. We went to dinning room and we have found left over food from day before with flies sitting on it, even fruits werent fresh. I went straight to the reception and guy in reception told me that kitchen staff forgot about it anh he will write complain to manager. After all that what happen I can say anythng good because I am really pissed of. Informations about the hotel on the website are not true. If anybody is thinking about going to any of the hotel in Playa de Taurito definately not choose this hotel, have a look other options around this area. I will be writing a complain directly to the management of the hotel, unfortunatelly I can't change to much after holidays, but i hope this review will help in making decision about not choosing this hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...Nothing!!!

On arrival the staff were helpful. Rooms nice and big, slightly plain but fine. Beds comfortable, fridge in the room, bathroom clean, balcony with table and chairs. Food fine, not amazing but enough variety. Went for chilled out week away, and had a nice time.
The best thing about my stay was...Close to beach/pool/

Lovely, very clean hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are really nice and are a good size. The food was good, plentiful and very fresh. Vegetarians are not so well catered for. A lot of vegetable and egg dishes on the buffet had chopped bacon added in so veggies are limited mostly to the salad bar. A couple of labelled veggi items on the buffet would be great! There was very good entertainment in the hotel on Thurs and Sun. The pool and pool bar are great and, in addition, All Inclusive guests have free entrance to Lago Oasis pool complex nearby which is fantastic. There is a bus stop near the hotel with a frequent service to Puerto Mogan, Mas Palomas etc. There's also a taxi rank nearby. Taxi to nearby Puerto Mogan costs about 5 Euros one way. This is a great hotel and resort for a quiet break. We will definitely be back.
