Quiet location

Nice hotel, a bit outdated and far away from everything but quiet. All Rooms have sea view. The food was ok. Rooms cleaned every day. The staff at the reception was doing it's best to be helpful, but at the restaurant the staff was much more ignorant and seemed to be very busy. Usually lots of people at the restaurant. The hotel is very close to the Gozo ferry and the trip there is to be recommended. Even close to the public buses going to Valletta, Mdina etc

The best thing about my stay was...

Sea view from the room

Fabulous Holiday

Paradise Bay is a fabulous 4 star hotel in Malta. The staff are incredibly efficient, friendly helpful and accomodating. Room service was excellent, ie fabulous clean room every day. The resteraunt provides a vast range of excellent fresh food. I was on a yoga retreat and they provided delicious vegetarain meals for our group. There is a regular bus service outside the door to anywhere on the island and the port where you can catch the ferry to Gozo for a fabulous day out. For a short walk you have a range of hotels to go to for a meal by the sea.

The best thing about my stay was...

There was no end of help and advice to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible.

"4 star" disaster

one word - DISASTER !!! it's not 4 star, it's not even 3 star. old-fashion 80's style, hair dryer from 80's (no exaggeration). rooms very cold (in January) and most other areas of the hotel. No heating, only air condition which did not work properly in our room for the first few days of our stay. Pool really good, the only advantage of this hotel. Sauna - disaster and charge 6euro for 18 minutes. Gym - no words to describe how poor and bad it is, might as well say non-existent, even ÿoga matts need replacement. the bike.... need a new one too. We went for half-board, breakfasts are so bad..... so poor and tasteless.... dinners quite good, nice selection but would rate them 2,5 - 3 star. supermarket downstairs too dear and poor choice, very messy play room - hmmm... not great, need some replacements cleanness - just ok overall - DO NOT RECOMMEND, avoid at all cost

The best thing about my stay was...

swimming pool, dinners

Scenic and relaxing

Room was big and decorated in a traditional Mediterranean decor. Shower was nice and hot which was a bonus for me. Room was cleaned daily and sheets changed daily. Our room overlooked the bay with an unobstructed view! Absolutely stunning!! Food was alright, but because it was not their peak season not everything was opened and the hours they were opened were fairly early. Staff was extremely nice, accommodating and polite. Own beach and 4 or 5 pools with plenty of sun tanning locations with optimal sun exposure. Sauna and gym on site. Right beside Gozo ferry for further adventures. Bus stop located directly in front of hotel for easy access to rest of Malta. The only bad thing about the hotel is that the wifi sucks! You need to pay for wifi and it only works on one or two devices and it's so slow! Plus there's only like 4 English speaking channels and no pay per view available in room. Over all though an amazing week! Highly recommend this hotel!!!

Good hotel

A lovely hotel, good location. The rooms are small and old. I loved the food and you can order lunch bags if you don`t want to eat lunch in hotel. All inclusive hotel but you can not drink what ever you want (cocktails are not included). Its a little bit silly that you have to sign every single time when you order drinks. Lovely big swimming pools and a nice place where you can go for a swim in the sea. At the last day the swimming pool area was very dirty, a lot of cups on the chairs and food, even in the pool and nobody cared to clean that up. But all other days pool area was clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. :)

The best thing about my stay was...

Close to the ship, nice view from room, big swimming pool, clean rooms

As good as the first time

Stayed here 3 years ago ago for a week at Valentines Day. Excellent service by all staff, food excellent and location is perfect for a quiet relaxing stay. Renovations ongoing but did not spoil our stay. We booked an economy half board room and had a lovely spacious room in south part of hotel overlooking paradise bay. Balcony was spacious and sunny all day. Indoor pool great at this time of year. Highly recommend to all.

GENERAL

I stayed in PRADISE BAY HOTEL with my wife for a week in end of October 2015. Room was nice , clean and with comfortable bed . Nice swiming pool with sea water ,the beach was also great. Amazing meal !!! Very helpful staff. Poor signal WI FI in the room and incredibly expensive ! Public free WI FI was very slow . Hotel o dobrej lokalizacji do wypadow w glab Malty i na Gozo. Blisko promu na Gozo pozwala na kilku godzinne wypady na druga wyspe. Jedzenie fantastyczne , urozmaicone , smaczne i do woli. To chce podkreslic !!! Pokoje o dobrym standarcie , jednak troszke wyeksploatowane. Na dole hotelu sklep z napojami i inna tandeta , jednak drogi . Lepiej pojechac do miasteczka i tam zrobic zakupy , woda , piwo , owoce itp. Woda mineralna tylko w zgrzewkach 6 sz i to droga. ! Ogolnie polecam hotel jako dobry i tani. Warto wypozyczyc auto ( koszt okolo 30 EU na 3 dni ) i pojezdzic po wyspie. Polecam Andrzej WROCLAW

Nice hotel

It was our first trip to Malta. Hotel has everything that you might need during your holiday. It has a shop, a restaurant, bar and plenty of space for sunbathing. Private beach and views around the hotel are amazing. I think it is the best place for beach holiday in Malta. I highly recommend a trip to Blue Lagoon.

The best thing about my stay was...

View from balcony, trip to Blue Lagoon, great swimming pools,

A lovely stay at a great hotel

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a week in August this year. All we wanted was somewhere to lie by a pool, relax and unwind and Paradise Bay was a perfect spot for it. The room was great. Plenty of space, bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked superbly, which it was 30 odd degrees outside in the middle of the night made sleeping much nicer! The staff were all friendly and helpful, no request was too much for them and helped make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. We went for the all inclusive option and the food for all three meals was very good. Buffet style for them but had plenty of choice so you always had something. The pool area was great, plenty of sunbeds and no mad dash to find one. The beach was also great, and as it was private to the hotel, it was nice and quiet. There was also a free trip given to us by the hotel to the Blue Lagoon on Comino Island which was brilliant. Another added extra that made our trip just that much better. A couple of small negatives. We paid for Wifi in the room at a cost of 25 euros for the week. Alhtough not expecting to be able to download films etc, we were hoping to have a strong signal and be able to comfortably browse the news etc in the morning. However the signal was weak and kept cutting out, which after paying for it was slightly annoying. The other complaint was that during the evening meal, the waiters were often very slow at taking drinks orders and then delivering them. We would often finish our meal before the drinks arrived. An annoyance but wouldn't stop me staying there again. All in all, a great hotel, with good food and comfortable beds. We wanted a relaxing holiday by the pool/beach and this hotel allowed us to have that and I would happily go back again next year.

The best thing about my stay was...

The pool/beach areas

Melted Chocolate for breakfast!!!

All you need to know is Patrick the chef gives you top quality melted chocolate for breakfast with baby croissants to dip. (They also have a chocolate massage but not for breakfast) We stayed for two weeks and wished it could be longer. Hopefully we will return next year as we found it relaxing, very clean and great views. Our party consisted of middle aged mum and teenage daughter. Daughter happy with wi-fi connection. Easy to do sightseeing via hop on/hop off bus tours. This hotel is spread out over a large area however this means it does not get crowded around the many pools and sun decks. The main pool is deep and fantastic to swim in as very spacious. All pools are sea water. Jacuzzi good, Had massage and Agnes the masseuse excellent although room could do with soundproofing as gym next door detracted from ambiance. Shop well stocked. All staff exceptionally helpful. Zumba and stretching classes good and tailored to participants ability level. Room safe large and will hold laptop. Breakfast menu excellent but thought Euro 19 per person for the buffet was expensive and we ate in the separate restaurant most nights. This had an excellent menu however we caught the bus into Mellihna town a couple of times for a bit of variety. There is a selection of used books in the left luggage room.

The best thing about my stay was...

Fantastic views and amazing pool

Average

Economy room was particularly economy... There was a noise as a commercial extractor fan was on top of my head and the cleaning staff started cleaning the corridor at 8:00 am , coffe machine stealing your money giving you no coffee and you get a refund from a conpany in partnership with the hotel.. You pay 2 euro for 20 mins of internet and you can find a pc set with a language you don T know and have to accept that..... Other than that staff was friendly and helpful enough to let me enjoy my stay. Convenient location, many pools , mini market with friendly staff and good coffee at the bar..

The best thing about my stay was...

Loved the view from the balcony, malta's weather, food, athmosphere

never again

where do start with this hotel,On arrival which was late we were treated like second class citizens and seems we were an inconvenience to the staff we received our room card after filling in the arrival form that was thrown at us not knowing where to go we asked a guest for directions.on entering the room it was dirty with hairs in the sink and dust all over. The sheets and pillow cases smelt of sweat the lock on the patio door was broken and replaced with a piece of metal placed through a jagged hole drilled in the door frame.the fridge was unusable due to a huge ice build up inside and dripping every where.on asking for a bedding change it was said we are very busy but eventually they changed the pillow cases but not sheets we slept without sheets after giving up on asking. All staff were ignorant and could not be bothered helping with anything. The dinners were mostly basic and under or over cooked desert was cake or bread pudding every day to which i presume was made from the days left over stale bread ice cream could only be had if you asked the waiters who went to the kitchen to get it. The two restaurant managers only walked about giving orders to staff but ignoring customers requests and making all feel inferior, often there where no plates or dishes and cutlery.Being all inclusive we still had to sign for everything we had, and made to feel like criminals. one night the three bar personnel had a stand up argument about who should collect the glasses.on leaving we asked for a hotel questionnaire guess what they could not find any and we was told to go on trip adviser I could go on and on but i think everyone gets the message i hope???
