Well maintained good quality hotel
Well cared for and well located (close to the beach) hotel Typical of the Barcelo chain of hotels Good for families Staff very helpful and friendly Two good pools and entertainment every night Nice spa. Plenty of satisfactory quality food and competitively priced drinks and wine Breakfasts are especially good. Rooms may be small but are very well fitted out and maintained. When hotel is full you will have to get your towel on the pool side lounger early Would recommend without hesitation
The best thing about my stay was...Overall quality and value for money the hotel provides. Don't miss Mao town.

Excellent Hotel for young families
alison james, Oxford
We booked this hotel after reading a article in the paper and we were not dissapointed. The food and the service were excellent value for money, and the general standards in the hotel were high, we would certainly reccomend this hotel to young families. Punta Prima itself is a quiet resort with only a handfull of restraunts and a few small shops, allthough in the evenings there is a street market, access to the beach is easy and is within five minute walk from the hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...The food in the restraunt

We all loved this hotel
Jeni Wilkins, Mayland
We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and well maintained, with good sized rooms (we had a family suite which was two adjoining rooms, each with their own bathroom. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good facilities and food, although I wouldn't like to eat their food for two weeks as it got a little repetitive. We were half board, and it was nice to eat somewhere else once a day. We stayed just before half term, and it was lovely and quiet, however as half term arrived, at the tail end of our week's stay, it got very busy, and standards slipped slightly (long queues for food and drinks machine constantly needing refilling) - simply due to the number of guests. Would definitely stay there again (outside of school holidays). We didn't use the Spa, but it certainly looked very nice.
The best thing about my stay was...Facilities, and very well maintained throughout the hotel and grounds.

A Little Disappointed!
Barbara Hirons, Coulsdon
Generally the hotel was fine but the food wasnt up to a 4 star standard as it was generally not hot enough. The ice cream was the best selection for the puddings, the cake selection was pretty poor. The main meal was OK but not enough green vegetables and there was no chicken the week we were there. We asked for a double room with sea view.... To see the sea you had to stand a peer over the solid balcony, we were given twin beds, these were hard and moved even if you leaned against the wall to read a book in bed, we asked to change rooms after the second night, which they did without any fuss. The animation team were pretty naff, very amateurish. Our stay was pleasant, the hotel was ideally situated, not far from the beach and the bus service in to Mahon (opposite the hotel) was excellent, there you could get another bus to travel further round the island. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The pools were really cold, the sea was warmer!! We were half board, the drinks at the bar were quite expensive.
The best thing about my stay was...There was a general strike on the Wednesday so drinks in the evening were FREE!!!

We had a super time at this hotel. It has been extensively renovated since the earlier reviews, and is now modern, well laid out and spotlessly clean. There are two pools plus two for kids, with organised sports activities, yoga and aqua aerobics during the day should you wish to take part, and entertainment in the evening. Otherwise the (beautiful) beach is about two minutes walk from the entrance. The staff are multi lingual, very helpful and friendly, and the restaurant buffet offers a varied but always excellent menu throughout the week, with something for everyone. We had a fabulous time and recommend the hotel totally. And yes, the Italians are great fun!

Fantasic. We could not fault any detail of this hotel. We had a family room which was very large with two bathrooms. Food was great. Large choice for all meals. All inclusive option is great value for money. Drinks are from bottles not from taps. Very Good kids club and evening entertainment. Hotel caters for Italians, we did not mind this and found them lovely people. Plenty of sunbeds and beautiful pools. Not a lot happening in the area outside hotel, just a good safe beach.

love it, been about six times its quiet friendly and just enough life to keep you happy. food is good, i am not a fussy eater and will try anything there is always a good variety. i believe air conditioning has been fitted during last years rebuild (2008). it is also 100% open to wheel chairs nice if you need that.

this will be our 3rd year going out 2 July 07 and already booked for 2008. Brilliant hotel, good food, great staff, nice rooms but do lack air con. AI is a must. It is not an exclusive AI hotel and the prices for food and drink for those going anything other than AI are expensive.
