Good location - shame about the room
Disappointed, United Kingdom
A very nice hotel apart from the apartment. Although appearing clean and quite well equipped for self-catering, it was in serious need of renovation. The cleaners came 5 times a week changing towels and bedding twice. The sink & bathroom appeared to be wiped over but very little else was done. There was accumulated dust in all corners of each room and on the furniture in the bedroom. The outside area and steps were never swept. The pool with the children's slides was closed for the first two days of our stay. At night, one of the other pools went a peculiar shade of green and smelt strongly of bleach. My partner said this pool was very salty and we saw several people having problems with their eyes and asking the lifeguard what was in the pool. The staff were overall very friendly and the kids on site loved the children's entertainers. The food was simple but was on the whole very good - something for everyone. We did eat out a few times as the town is very close and food and drink prices inexpensive. There was very little evening entertainment for adults. Great location for the town which had a multitude of shops and restaurants. Would stay again if given improved accommodation.
The best thing about my stay was...Location

Rooms very outdated. Furniture is in bad condition. Our bedroom smelt damp. Bathroom door would not close properly. Tiles in bathroom were cracked. Only had maid service 5 times during the 2 weeks we were there, the maid would also just walk into the apartment without knocking and waiting for an answer. One of the swimming pools was closed for 3 days.bedding was not changed during our 2 week stay.
The best thing about my stay was...Location of accommodation. Ample sunbeds

Leaves much to be desied
Valery, Ireland, Dublin
Once you walk into reception you'll get depression, dull, small, old furniture and draft all around. Building and rest is very old, old dirty tiles are wiped in the morning instead one good brush, old chewing gum stuck around. Room are depressing too, old dark green pictures screwed with four screw-nails to the wall, all furniture is junk, renovation was done last time a decade ago and my little child old said: Mammy tap in the bath must be was installed in the last century! Very far from the nearest beach. Plates underwashed from previous food. Staff with not great english. Food is OK at dinner time, but the same every day for breakfast. My child loved mini disco and games.
The best thing about my stay was...Aniamtion team and mini disco.

MANNERS COST NOTHING
Oasis dunas is very dated. The pool hurt every bodies eyes by being too salty. The lifeguard was more interested in flirting with everyone that moved and joining the "games" ran by the animation team..darts shooting cocktail game more darts shooting and ping pong same old day in day out. Myself and my friend actually tended to children in trouble on 2 seperate occasions. The room was broken into and money taken hotel wouldnt cgeck camera we had to go to the police to get them to come and get the tapes .we were waiting on money to be sent over and pool bar staff wouldn't even let us take sachets of salt and vinegar from pool bar. To put on food bought from their own shop and the situation was explained . The girl in the shop on site is just as bad as the short hair blonde girl at the pool bar. Entertainment was extremely poor very disappointed with it compared to other places we've been. We were "lucky" with the position of our room at a block as our friends in b block got ate alive by mosquito and flies etc so bad they had to be moved and lucky they were as I seen them refuse to move other people. Needs to really address these things I would not be back
The best thing about my stay was...waiki restaurant lovely couldn't praise it enough. and the chap in the bouncy castle place across the road was so nice to the baby

In need of some serious renovation
Sarah Carroll, Dublin
I have stayed in a few places in Fuerteventura and this was my least favourite accommodation. I understand you get what you pay for but the walls were like paper and the cleaning service was not up to the normal standard I've experienced on the island. I will not be returning to Oasis Duna again as there is better accommodation for roughly the same price nearby.
The best thing about my stay was...The poolside bar was handy for a quick bite to eat
