Unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.......
Williams , Carmarthenshire
Came back yesterday- so experience very raw.... can't think of anything good to say about this hotel. We were in room number 50 which was right opposite the supermarket - not the sea view we had expected. The veranda was shaded all day. The TV in the room must have been about 40 years old with a slot at the side for coins. The fridge was was stuck under the worktop which was ver difficult to reach as the door opened the wrong way. It also would freeze the milk, the orange juice , the fruit and everything else you put in there......!!! The pool was absolutely freezing but didn't worry as was told there was a heated swimming pool on site. However, to use it you take your life in yours hands, as it's down very steep brick (some broken) steps. This Hotel is totally unsuitable for anyone with any walking disability - a fact that clients should be made aware of. The Hotel is also at the top of a very steep hill making it making it doubly difficult for people with walking difficulties. I have read some good reviews about this Hotel - but their rooms must have been completely different to ours. We were also woken up at 7.30 every morning by the cleaners, as they would meet up with their mops and buckets etc. right outside our room. There was also no entertainment what so ever, and the only free Wifi was in the reception area where you would be sitting in what felt like a hurricane, as the weather was cold and extremely windy and the staff insisted on leaving the two doors open at either end. We were counting the days to when we would be leaving. Wouldn't recommend this Hotel to my worst enemy....Did ask to be moved on arrival but was told they were fully booked. There is a free shuttle bus taking you up and down the hill - but found that they don't always stick to the Timetable - so found had to walk back from various locations.
The best thing about my stay was...Nothing to like.......

My 4th time at Neptuno this year, nice room this time, room 76, upgrade by Neptuno on arrival. Enjoyed facilities, cleaned every day, fresh towels every few days, free tv, nice balcony with great views over Costa Adeje and received sun the whole day, bedding fine with comfy bed, toaster, kettle and cooking facilities. Pool area nice and quiet with friendly staff at poolside bar which also serves food and has a tv which showed football games, plenty seating and nice tables and relaxation at poolside bar area. There is a free shuttle bus from Neptuno to various drop off points near to the various beaches and areas as the Neptuno is up a steep hill, I was fine with this as it is a great walk and keeps you fit but for the elderly or disabled the bus is ideal, there is a timetable service on arrival.
The best thing about my stay was...Weather and catching up with friends

Spotless beautiful apartment, amazing views
Emily , Surrey
Excellent value for money. Stunning views, spotlessly clean apartment and lovely pool area...even in August there were always free sun beds. Very friendly staff, cleaners came every day except Sunday. Shop opposite and bakery just over the road. Yes it is up a hill but we didn't mind the walk as we are very active people anyway and liked being a short walk out of the main resort. The resort is brilliant, plenty to do and loads of restaurants etc. We will definitely go back.
The best thing about my stay was...Large, clean apartment, lovely sea view

Have stayed at the Neptuno a few times over the last few years, January 2016 was last time but this time I was disappointed. Reception staff were fantastic, the two ladies at the poolside bar brilliant. The cleaners were reasonably good but cleaning could be much better in rooms, we actually left things on the floor when we discovered they were not cleaning properly and low and behold they remained there day after day. The stept tiles around complex down to where we stayed were broken and loodse and could be very dangerous at night time. The apartment had ants on the worktops and floors and wasn't fully cleaned before we arrived. No cockroaches though, lol. We stayed in room 111, further down the block whereas we have stayed in rooms 54 and 56 twice and they were fine. I am back in July so will request we stay away from this area. Pooolside area good and the weather fantastic. just the apartment we were disappointed with.

Good and bad
The Neptuno apartments are difficult to review because there are very good but bad several bad elements to the accommodation. So, I'll start with the good. I arrived as a single parent with a ten year old son and was pleasantly surprised at the service and accommodation after reading some very dubious reviews! The staff on reception were pleasant and helpful and the apartment itself was huge - a good sized living area with kitchenette, separate bathroom and a decent sized bedroom with lots of cupboard space. I got a seaview, as requested, though it did overlook many other hotels and apartments, so was a glimpse rather than a view. Regardless, For the budget price I paid, it was a nice surprise. The apartment had beds made and towels changed twice over the week though I didn't see evidence of any other cleaning. There is a good little supermarket left of the apartments which stocks most things at a reasonable price for emergencies but go down to the Gran Sur and visit the Mercadona (or Spanish Tesco as my son called it!) for your groceries. There are also some lovely shops and cafes in there, as well as a cinema. Yes, it's a walk down the hill and it's steep getting back up but it takes 5 minutes, honestly. Now the downside. I had to clean the coffee maker and all other pots/pans/cutlery as they were very dirty. There was also an ant problem in the room - just the little teenie ones, which you expect to some extent in a hot country, but they were relentless so keep all your food in the fridge! I missed not having an oven in the kitchen as I would have liked to bake some pizza/frozen chips etc so that was a problem for me. You also have to pay for the TV, which is ridiculous, so just take your tablet or laptop and DVDs, as I did. There was nothing going on for entertainment in the hotel so my son and I had DVD nights with treats on an evening. The pool was freezing and everything about the place is tatty and in need of update but if you're after a cheap bargain break in a roomy apartment, just remember that you only have to sleep there! Being a budget style accommodation, some of the clientele we encountered were 'interesting', Including a very, very large extended family of gypsy travellers and a loud hen party that woke us up at 3am two nights in a row but you have to accept that budget hotels attract this and you need to go with the flow. Or do what we did, which was spend our time at other pools and hotels in the area during the day and use Neptuno as a base. Overall, would I go to these apartments again? Yes - if I needed a bargain break on a budget but certainly not for a quality holiday.
The best thing about my stay was...Close to the Gran Sur and a good free bus into resorts
