Again for the third time I have had a wonderful stay at the Metin Hotel. Nurten the Manager is so kind and will try to do her best to make your stay perfect.
The best thing about my stay was...The location of the hotel is perfect for us. In the thick of everything but still quiet.

Another lovely holiday
Sally Phelps, United Kingdom
Along with most of the other guests, I have been holidaying at the Metin for years and the huge number of returning visitors is recommendation itself.
The best thing about my stay was...Lovely helpful efficient Nurten, breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the rock tombs and genuine Turkish home cooking

Stayed here 1st week in October 16. Short transfer from airport, about 30 minutes. Hotel in centre of Dalyan, little noisey but didn't go on till early hours. Room was very clean, air con was extra £4 per day,£1 per day for safe. Beds comfortable . Fridge in room but no kettle but I took travel kettle. We had lovely room facing pool. Only thing that let hotel down was breakfast, bread , cheese but if salad and boiled eggs, cornflakes and chocolate pops . I will take some muesli next time as I WILL defiantly return to this hotel. Notan lady on reception was fabalas, so wry helpful. We had late flight back but didn't keep room on but was given a room to shower and change before we left at no extra cost . Weather was hot 30 ish every day although pool was cold but refreshing 😳 All in all, GREAT holiday, great value hotel

Excellent value for money

Stayed at metin last year in September and this year 2014 in May. Hotel is ideally located next to all the restaurants and bars. Only 3 minute walk to river dalyan. Hotel is family run and hotel manager Norton is so helpful and speaks perfect English. The rooms are cleaned daily and cleaners are excellent. Has a lovely swimming pool and nice little pool bar which you can can get food. Prices are not expensive same as you will pay at most bars. Breakfast is continental with omelette, cheese, meat, eggs, cereals etc. I will be going back next year and met 5 families/couples this year who I saw last year so very popular hotel with people visiting year after year.
The best thing about my stay was...Excellent location and lovely people

family holiday to dalyan
iris tree, Neath
just returned from our 7 night stay at the metin in dalyan with family. the hotel was ok not brilliant but we only wanted a little break from our weather before the winter set in .the hotel is on the main rd into dalyan town good for all ameneties that dalyan has to offer we stayed on a bed and breakfast deal our room was ok paid £4 per day extra for air con and £30 for safe for the week we were in block a our balcony was facing the main rd their was a little noisy in the night and early morning with trafic into the town .breakfast was served on the roof of block c up 3 flights of stairs no lifts so if you have mobility problems dont stay hear breakfast was typical turkish style .our problems started with other guests complaining about the chilldren playing in the pool . they complained all week about the splashing the children were doing (only 2 guests) but instead of moving back from the pool they just sat their .our opinion is if you dont want to be in the same hotel as children book into an adult only hotel .i would not class this hotel as family friendly .
The best thing about my stay was...the weather

Great Family Hotel
Julie Waterhouse, Upminster
This was our second stay at the Metin. We were remembered by some of the staff. The hotel is situated perfectly for the town with just a short walk to the centre. The staff were all helpful and friendly. A problem at the end of our stay was delt with quickly and to our full satisfaction. We will say there again when we are next in Dalyan.
The best thing about my stay was...The attentive nature of the staff

Good hotel in the centre of the village
Carl Messenger, Lowton/Cheshire
The rooms are very large with a double and a single bed, adequate wardrobe and draw space. If you require Air Con then it is charged at £4 per day and the hotel also do a pick up service for £45 return. The pool area is very good and we never struggled to get a sunbed - even when we returned after lunch. The hotel is right in the middle of the village and yet at night you can not hear any noise which amazed me. Dalyan itself is a lovely village with pleaty of excellent places to eat. Breakfast is the usual Turkish offering, including home made yogurt and jams. In the evening the hotel offers a 3 course meal for 20TL (approx £9) pp, which is very good value - the BBQ night is probably one of the best as they also have a dancer on that night. Overall a good standard of accommodation hence 3 stars, but if you include the hospitality of the family who own the hotel then it would be a 4 star.

Metin Hotel and Daylan are Well Worth a Visit
Andrew Holland, Stafford
Stayed in August 2010 with my three children aged 13,10 and 7 on a half-board basis. Firstly, this was a last minute booking, about 36 hours before our flight, and this may have contributed to why we found, upon arrival at the hotel, that the family room we booked was not available for the first 2 nights of our 11 night stay. They did have a room but it was one bed short and so I ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Not ideal but it could have been worse and I'm the type to just get on with things. Anyway, as promised a couple of days later and the family room we had expected became available and we moved our things to the new room which was perfectly adequate - two single beds, one double bed, an excellent shower that always had hot water, toilet and plenty of space although it was a very small balcony that could just accommodate 2 chairs at a squeeze. Rooms were serviced daily, bedding changed every 3 or 4 days and clean towels, a small fridge/mini bar. Secondly, we did not request the optional extra air conditioning at £4GBP per day but found when we moved rooms that the control unit for the A/C had been left in our new room even though we hadn't had it or requested it for the first room we were allocated. Note: if you don't want A/C return the control unit to reception or they will try and charge you for it even if you didn't ask for it. That said, we really enjoyed our holiday. The hotel has a good location near the centre of Daylan, which is a fantastic place for those not wanting the mass tourism on offer in other parts of Turkey. The town has plenty of shops and restaurants, bars and cafes but the hotel doesn't suffer any noise from town, not that it's a noisy place. Breakfast is served on top of one of the hotel buildings, overlooking the ancient tombs carved in the cliffs across the river. A fantastic location to start your day. Dinner was served around the pool at 8pm and had a selection of Turkish food in a buffet style that changed daily and included a weekly bbq. Food was excellent for the HB price we paid. Maybe my slightly picky children missed the chicken nuggets and fishfingers they would normally get offered but I welcomed the more varied dishes on offer and they never went hungry. The pool was adequate for lazing around and the kids to play in although the main pool is very deep for little ones if they aren't confident swimmers although there was a good array of floats and inflatables around the pool that everyone shared. The beach is only accessible by boat (public boats are about 8 Turkish Lira per person return trip, children half price and infants free or by local bus service is 6TL per person return trip, children half price and infants free). The beach and sea are fantastic though with no building allowed on the beach due to the conservation area and loggerhead turtle nesting areas. The bus takes you to the less busy end of the beach that is also home to the turtle rehab centre that's worth a visit where you may be lucky (depending on the time of year) to see baby turtle hatchlings before they are released. Daylan also has a number of companies offering boat trips, jeep safaris, snorkelling trips and the like that are all good value. Overall, I'd highly recommend Daylan and for those not looking for the lap of luxury but a perfectly adequate, clean, comfortable hotel then the Metin Hotel is in my opion an excellent choice. The staff work tirelessly and are so helpful and polite. I'd like to thank all at the Metin that made our holiday so enjoyable.
The best thing about my stay was...Daylan is a beautiful location

NOT A TYPICAL TURKISH FAMILY HOTEL
David Rodwell, Herts
The Metin Hotel is not a typicaly warm Turkish friendly hotel. Firstly it is a NON SMOKING HOTEL within rooms and buildings, this may delight some, but we found it oppressive to the spirit of a fun loving holiday sought. Also a policy of non topless sunbathing again we regarded as austere and restricting to personal choice. The management (part English) lacks any real warmth towards the guests; this is reflected in the excessive overpriced drinks sold within the hotel. The food (breakfast & dinner) is adequate and mostly enjoyable, the cleaning staff are excellent and our room was spotless. The Hotel Shines in condition and presentation, however from our point of view it has become part of bureaucratic European system, that has lost its Turkish Roots, hence its appeal is limited. If you want a sterile atmosphere at cost, this hotel may be acceptable. We however love Turkish people and their culture; it’s very hard to find that at the Metin. Also to keep any room past 12am it will cost you £27.
The best thing about my stay was...The surroundings, history and Nature of Dalyan is all around you.
