Really lovely and clean.

I travelled on my own with 3 children may 2010, i found the apartment to be more than adequate, the resort was quiet, perfect for us. The staff were all freindly and helpful, even had to call out the Doctor for my son, who was also very nice. The beach was a short stroll and also very clean, kids loved the splash pool too.

The best thing about my stay was...

Close to the beach.

Sneaky Towel Placers

We were in Santo Tomas in July 2007 for 2 weeks and found the apartments and resort superb and a great base for touring the island of Menorca. We also caught the Fiesta of San Marti in Es Mercadal, what a wonderful atmosphere and beautiful black Menorcan horses, the last of which was ably ridden by the Bishop of Menorca whilst the locals got steadilly slaughtered on Pimada! The only down side was watching people placing towels on the sun loungers around the swimming pools, something the English have always criticised the German people for,and then not using them,or disappearing for a four hour lunch, leaving their towels on the sun beds...pathetic!Some families even used to send their children at 7.30am to place towels!Glad to say it was nearly all southern English people doing this...STOP IT!!Other than this minor point an absolutely fantastic holiday!

Review of 'Mestral Llebeig'

This was our first visit to Menorca and we were pleasantly surprised to find both the resort and the apartments absolutely excellent. The resort is only small so after a day or so we had seen most of it, I would advise visitors to hire a car from a hire firm at the side of the Hamilton court hotel, (76 euros for 3 days).
We ate out most evenings and the restaurants are also excellent although our favourite was the Costa Sur, the service and food could not be faulted.
We tend not to go back to the same place twice but we have both said we could return here without compunction.

Review of 'Mestral Llebeig'

Had two weeks this August and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you are looking for hustle and bustle of bars and discos you will be bored silly. We look for a relaxing spot, some good food and no hassle (from time-shares or holiday reps.)
Our teenage son did get a little bored but once he found a friend that was him sorted out. The supermarkets are on the expensive side and car hire was not available the two weeks we went. Local transport was not very frequent but is air-conditioned coaches which more than make up for it. We had day trips to Mahon and Cuitedella each for approx 15Euros (return) for the three of us.
The apartments were lovely and clean and well equiped, ours was one of the smaller ones on site though. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing clean resort.

Review of 'Mestral Llebeig'

Visited Santo Thomas in April 2003 (Lord Nelson Apartments) for a week, Just what we needed!
Came back in July 2006 after other trips to Menorca - this place is Excellent! Kids were in their element - safe and very friendly resort.
Mestral & Llebeig Apartments are very clean (cleaned at least twice a week thoroughly) staff are excellent and pool bar attendants are extremly hard working, polite, funny, helpful etc. Have already booked for 2007.

On the subject of car hire - well worth it. The 2 supermarkets in the town are more expensive than those in Mahon and Cuitadella and dont offer as much choice but are ok, my tip is dont buy the english stuff. Hire a car from the airport and drive, the roads are easy and well sign posted.

Review of 'MESTRAL LLEBEIG'

We were on the first plane out of Norwich, to Menorca, in May 2005. On arrival we found the apartments to be even more spacioous and better equipped than the brochure had led us to expect. The owners maintain and improve the rooms, annually, to a very high standard.
We noticed that some parts of Santo Tomas were still preparing for the Summer, with a few hotel pools still out of action - not a problem for us though, Mestral Llebeig was fully operational. The staff were all exceptionally helpful, but a special mention must go to Nico - a mine of useful information and advice, the perfect barman.
The beaches here, and at Son Bou, are the longest on the island - you never feel crowded - the walk to Son Bou crossing a very pretty headland, but unsuitable for pushchairs!
I can recommend the car hire shop by the supermarket near the Hotel Victoria Playa, if you should fancy a change of scenery, they provided a minibus which ferried our family of seven to all parts of Menorca. The roads are easy to follow, as the island isn't covered in tarmac, and there are so many secluded coves to discover. Our favourite was Cala Pregonda - I'd recommend having lunch at the restaurant near the car park, as you face a 15 minute walk to this gorgeous bay.
Take advantage of car hire to shop outside of the resort, where prices are far higher than almost any other part of Menorca! There is a local bus to the next village, if you'd prefer not to drive, where you will save half the money you'd spend in Santo Tomas. The local butcher is superb and the bar is right next to the bus stop, so you can refresh yourself whilst you wait for your return journey.
The reception area has some useful pamphlets, including an English visitors guide to a variety of walks around Santo Tomas. This is a great way to see parts you might overlook, as not all the attractions of Santo Tomas are on the seafront!
A super holiday for families with young children (not teenagers I suspect!) and we are on the first plane out of Norwich, again, this year - only this time we're staying for three weeks, not two!

Review of 'MESTRAL LLEBEIG'

We are going back again (3rd year in a row)at the end of May/begining of June 2006. These apartments are ideal for people who don't want to be "organised" by reps. They are spacious, well equipmed and in an ideal location. I agree that the local shops are expensive but if you hire a car for a few days and stock up on provisions in the large supermarkets outside Mahon & Cuidadella while you are on your way back from outings, you'll save the cost of the car hire and have a far better choice of food and wine!!! For a really nice evening meal try Costa Sur (its not that much more expensive than Es Pins but the service is a little more special)

Santo Thomas is a quiet resort so don't choose it if you like lots of entertainment or noisy bars - you'll be bored silly. This will be our 6th year there (we stayed at Hamilton Court appts originally) and we all still love it.The pony club is fun for the kids (from tinies to those who can ride)and the beach is long and sandy. Don't hire sunbeds or parasols on the beach though as they work out very expensive over 2 weeks - buy one of you own on the first day and save the cash for the pedalos!

Review of 'MESTRAL LLEBEIG'

We stayed in these apartments sept 21st this year. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the apartments and complex. They were very clean and spacious. The reception staff were lovely. The beach was just across a very calm road. It was very clean and quiet. I have to say the cafe on the beach is very expensive though, and so are the super markets. We did take some things with us, like marmite and cereals though. We ate at the lord nelson in the evenings which as time went on felt a little un-welcome, we seem to be the only british there, the food always seemed to be the same too with not much choice. We decided on our last night to go to the victoria player hotel which was really great and highly recommended. Very nice staff and food is perfect. I also recommend you hire a car as its much cheaper to get to the aqua park which was also great for the kids, and cheap too. We hired a car from the shop next to the super market, it only cost 36 euro. Much cheaper than car hire near lord nelson ( double the price!) We drove to a beach called cala mitjana which is a must. It really is a menorca gem! All in all menorca is our most favourite place to visit ever and santo tomas was wonderful. We will definitely be returning back next year, to the same apartments too. Oh and if you have small children the pony rides are great and are run by a lovely english girl...happy holidays.

We stayed at the Mestral Apartments in June this year and had a wonderful holiday. It was a charming and extremely relaxing resort. Our children range from 10 to 17 and all three had an excellent time. The staff were wonderful (especially Nico the bar tender)! The restaurants were very limited in their choice of menu, but, the food was good and plenty of it! The apartments are kept to a very high standard and were equipped with everything that we needed. Cant wait to go back again next year.

Review of 'MESTRAL LLEBEIG'

It was so good last year that we are going back this year and bringing another couple with their two children. The apartments are very well kept with wonderful facilities for the children with the hotel part across the quiet road. There are activities, daytime and evening all perfect for children, good pool, playground and enclosed grass space for ball games. The resort is not too big and the beach is excelent with a forest and walk along coves to the next resort. I would recomend it, in fact I have done and will be there again in June with my friends.
