This was our 2nd visit to the antillas Barbados and we were delighted to find that very little had changed. We were on B&B as with a fussy 8 yr old we prefer to have the freedom to seek out other meal options for lunch / dinner, but can say the breakfast options were very good with hot and cold buffet, cereals, fruit, pastries etc. The hotel is situated in a quiet corner of Magaluf, well away from the noise and bright lights of the strip and without any of the people that frequent the strip. Local bars restaurants and shops are all within a 5 minute walk along the beachfront. It is a family oriented hotel, with an activities / Entertainments team that are the best in the business - whether you are an adult, toddler or teenager !! The options for activities are continuous throughout the day and the entertainment at night far better than any we have encountered elsewhere. The accommodation is as you would expect from a 4* Hotel and spotlessly clean, with all staff very friendly. There are a wide variety of nationalities that use the hotel including, Spanish, Portuguese, Norwegian, Russian with not so many Irish or British - but everybody joins in the activities and all get along together. All in all a lovely holiday location (worth the extra to book a room with pool view) with a great team of staff - especially the entertainment / activities team. We don't normally go anywhere twice but would consider returning here a third time.
The best thing about my stay was...The entertainment and activities team

The best hotel is in Magaluf!
It is an excellent hotel on the beach with friendly staff and the best animators. Positive thing was the varied fish food.Quiet family hotel, despite to hear noisy teenagers from the close streets and hotels. 10 minutes walking to the party area. So I can offer this hotel for couples and families.
The best thing about my stay was...The best animators are this hotel!

Fantastic hotel , great location, lots of daily activities
Really lovely hotel, clean and tidy, staff are really helpful and friendly. Lots of daily activities, stretching classes, at robins, dancing, pool biking, water polo, great kids activities . Family hotel next to the beach, loads of lovely restaurants minutes walk away but only a 10 minute walk to the strip if that's what you want!!, highly recommended!
The best thing about my stay was...Location and cleanliness!

A fabulous 40th birthday stay at an amazing hotel
Y Webb, Tyne and Wear
The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The service at reception, the restaurant and pool bar was great. We were half board and the choice of food was vast, with something for everyone, and it was all freshly cooked and replenished constantly. The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. The sea views and panoramic view over the bay was amazing. We really liked being right on the beach. Would definitely come back for another visit.
The best thing about my stay was...The friendly staff!

Excellent location - close to the sea and close to night entertainment (also for young people who wants to experience night life in Magalluf and have great higher class hotel), cooking food in front of you, the hotel entertainment for children and adults, themed evenings, very, very friendly hotel staff, would recommend.Rooms are spacious and very beautiful. quick service.

Best Hotel In Magalluf
Mike Spore, Blackpool, Lancs
Our favourite hotel, in Magaluf. We've been there many times and had two holidays there, this year, (June & September). The rooms, food, facilities and swimming pools range from very good, to excellent. Also, the staff are friendly & polite. Magaluf is a great resort, with the best bar, being Clems Windsor Bar.
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxing By The Pool

make sure you stay in the Antilles building
M S, Northwest
Two adults, one 10 yr old, and two 16 yr olds. We were put into the Barbados building, the building needs total refurb...we complained and were transferred to Antilles...a littler better but certainly below 4 star! All inclusive...never do that again! Service appalling ..wait at least 15 minutes to get a bottle of water! They do no provide enough staff to serve the guests...and the hotel was nowhere near capacity so I fear for those guests who will try to get service when it is full!!! The entertainments team would not allow our 16 year olds to join in any of the activities, claiming they were only for adults??? How this works is beyond my comprehension the hotel info perported to provide entertainment for all ages???..kids club for the 10 year old looked good fun but he only tried it once Food O.K however nothing exceptional....we were in a Spannish resort yet no sign of a paella? however the service [again] was pretty awful..good job it was self serve food [service I refer to = drinks ordering however there was a lady named Carmen Maria..she was probably the only pleasant and efficient person on duty during our stay. Oh and if you are dining on the terrace be prepared to pay 1 euro each for the service??? yes this is a bit of a cheek considering there was no servie to speak of! Entertainment was OK but nothng to write home about. Poolside snack bars manned by people who appear as though they have swallowed a bee such was their demeanor, but maybe this look was reserved for people who have already paid [through all inclusive] and they thought there was little chance of getting a tip...same goes for the staff manning the bars in the evening, when you eventually got served??? We are not the type to queue up at 9am and drink alcohol all day...in fact it would have been much cheaper had we simply booked B&B and paid for our food and drink as we had very little of both. Reception staff not too co-operative, unfortunately I was taken ill and had to go into hospital..my husband organised documents to be faxed to the hotel...the reception staff were very un-copoperative causing a lot of stress in the process!!! The resort is quieter now however there were still some young groups in other other hotels. The Pirates Show is possibly still the best thing about the resort and the Water Park is good. I believe people will start to realise the prices being charged by these resorts are now beyond a joke...over £2 [yes pounds!] for a coke!, I was discussing this with a restaurant owner who agreed with me, saying they are now realising the people are beginnig to stay away [ I believe they may be a lttlle too late in this realisation] because this year it had been very quiet. I think we will be going to other places from now on..give Sapin/Portugal [they too are taking the proverbial Michael!] a miss.
The best thing about my stay was...The weather

Been twice and going back for our Honeymoon
Gav McColl and Vicky, from manchester
We have been to this Hotel twice, love it and every time we look at a Summer holiday in Europe this place is our number one choice. Great pool handy for the beach, the food is fantastic and the weather is perfect. We cant recommend the half board package enough mainly for the food, great choices. We have decided to Head back here for our Honeymoon because we love the place and know what were gonna get. Value for money

Always stay at Antillas when I go to Magaluf...its the only place where you can get good nights sleep every night because they do not cater for the shaven headed beer bellied football hooligan type that seem to infest all the other hotels and keep everyone awake with their behaviour...food always good, a bit more expensive than the other hotels but then worth paying the extra to keep the yob brigade out!

Hotel was brillant, good food and drink, all named spirits. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. We are 12 mature ladies who had the best 4 days ever. Bar open until 1pm and the enterainment was excellent. We picked full inclusive excellent value for money. This hotel would be fantastic for families also.

I would recommond this hotel. Food was great, very clean, great sea views and right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. The indoor facilities such as pool, jacuzzi, gym and health spa superb. My only minor criticism was the restaurant furniture and if hiring a car the hotel has no parking facility.

Hotel had opened day before we arrived and it was a cold day. Rooms were like barns and heating was hardly increasing the temperature. This was made worse when leaving room as fans cut out when removing key card to exit. Food did not warrant the four star rating. Bacon and sausage were very poor at breakfast. Evening meals very disappointing. Our party decided to eat out on four of the seven nights and we resorted to breakfast at Tom Browns to get decent bacon and sausage. Staff were very courteous and helpful
