Second tme in Prague. Pleasantly Surprised

This was our second visit to Prague. For such a reasonable price ( four nights for the price of three) we were pleasantly surprised to find all of the facilities to be of a very high standard. The room was comfortably large, air conditioned, including a mini bar, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, room safe and a free internet access point. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold food as part of a buffet and / or table order service. The whole breakfast experience was of a luxury standard The hotel is not to far from the main tourist areas but far enough to enjoy a peaceful stay, local bars and restaurants. The hotel has a library / bar area with an honesty bar facility and free wi- fi. The business centre offered free computer use and internet access. The hotel did not have an evening restaurant facility like larger luxury hotels, but as mentioned there are plenty of nearby restaurants to suit a variety of tastes and budgets. We would have no hesitation returning to or recommending this “excellent” hotel to others…. Tremendous!

The best thing about my stay was...

The whole experience (and the breakfast)

Maximilian Hotel Prague -Highly Recommended

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maximilian. An abundance of friendly, helpful staff. The bedroom and public areas were very clean, modern, and comfortable. A classy, low key, quiet, efficiently run hotel in an excellent location. We would go back to this hotel and will recommend our friends. Excellent value for money.

Ms

A weekend in Prague just before Christmas. What a treat - beautiful, back in time quality topped off with a great hotel. The staff paid close attention to detail and provided a first class service in every respect. Breakfast was divine, the room spacious and comfortable and the staff were superb. Just a mention of a birthday and we found champagne in the room - brilliant throughout and highly recomended

Review of 'MAXIMILIAN'

Stayed at Maximilian Hotel with group of female friends in May '06. Arranged limo transfers via the hotel using their drivers. They were waiting in the airport holding a sign -we found them straight away. The transfers were very good value for money and cheaper than some taxis. The drivers could speak English and were pleasant and informative about Prague.
The hotel was in a perfect location : a quiet square oppposite a very old church , hardly any traffic therefore no noise at night and the nearest bar was 500 m down the road - so again -no noise. The Maximilian is a modern, contemporary hotel with every available in-room facility you could require. The only thing it didn't have was tea and coffee making facilities - no problem for most people. The staff were very professional and efficient and were there to greet us on arrival to take bags to rooms etc. The facilities in the hotel were excellent; there was everything you could possibly want served up for breakfast or you could order omelettes freshly made and served to the table. The hotel was only a 5/10 min stroll to the Old Town Square which in my opinion is the best area to stay for a short break. It was walking distance to most of the main attractions and sights. The boat cruises are well worth doing as you get to learn a lot about the history of the city.
Be wary of pick pockets and unscrupulous taxi drivers. Some will rip you off if you let them. Try and agree a price before you get in.

All in all I would highly recommend the Maximilian Hotel: ideal location; modern facilities;efficient staff; fantastic choice at breakfast You may pay more to stay here but the difference in cost is worth every penny.(or Czech Kroner !)

Review of 'MAXIMILIAN'

The Hotel Maximilian is fantastic! The staff were friendly, the room was modern, clean & great for relaxing in after a day sightseeing. The Thai massage centre was an added bonus & must be tried to relieve those aching feet. The location of the Hotel is great & so handy to everything. The breakfast was a feast & will keep you going for the rest of the day. I can safely say I will be back.

Review of 'MAXIMILIAN'

Maximilian Hotel was supberb. Location, only 5 mins walk to Old Town Square situated in a quiet street.

I could write on about all the great things about this hotel but it would take to long but briefly the rooms, bathroom, facilities, breakfast & staff were excellent. Everything was so clean and bright and fresh looking it was marvellous. I have difficulty in finding anything negative to say about this hotel as for me there were none. I have stayed in quite a few hotels through out the world and this hotel ranks very high.

This has nothing to do with the hotel but Prague in general, beware of pick pockets. I was a victim when using the Metro during busy time. I thought no body could get me, WRONG!!! they are good at what they do, steal.

Review of 'MAXIMILIAN'

The Maximilian is in an ideal location, 5 mins walk fron the old town square. We had excellent service from all the cheerful staff, there isn't a bar as such, but a drawing room with an honesty bar and free tea or coffee. We ordered tea in the room and that was also complimentary.
The room was good with bathrobes and slippers and nice goodies in the bathroom.
Breakfast was excellent and available from 6.30am to 11.30am. A good hotel.
