Stayed here last week half-board. Very nice hotel with large reception and bar area and lovely pool. They also have an indoor pool but didn't use it. Food is very good and they have a 'special' every night. Masses of choice of hot and cold food, soup, fruit and desserts. No charge for drinks at breakfast but you pay for your drinks with your evening meal. Rooms are basic and compact! Didn't spend much time in there anyway. Ask for a room overlooking the pool as this gives you the best view. Slight bug-bear in that people reserve sun loungers with towels very early and don't seem to use them for most of the day - don't think this should be allowed. Overall The Marinada is a good hotel in a very good location and would stay there again.
The best thing about my stay was...The variety of food - there really is something for everyone

Good budget hotel
Pete, Northampton, England
I have just returned from Salou having stayed two nights at the Hotel Marinada. This is the first time I have stayed at the hotel and was travelling with my youngest son (16 years old). The hotel is rated three stars and I think it is a good three star hotel. Rooms are clean although a little on the small side and the pool area, reception and bar are clean, roomy and well designed. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is mainly aimed at Spanish families, of which the vast majority of residents are. The hotel is on a quiet street but just a couple of hundred metres from bars and restaurants and a short walk to the beach. This is a good three star hotel and when I booked it, it was at a very good room rate. If you are looking for a good three star hotel then the Marinada is certainly worth serious consideration.
The best thing about my stay was...Pool and bar area

Pleasant hotel close to the shopping street and the Salou Centre. Good services, good food, nice view if overlooking the street. No special view if overlooking the pool area. WiFi area only downstairs in the reception and pool area. No WiFi in rooms. WiFi extremely slow. Good a bit quieter area of the hectic Salou Centre. Good bus connection from the close shopping street to the areas around Salou - Cap Salou, La Pineda, Tarragona, Cambrils, Reus, Port Aventura. Come here, it is worth it!
The best thing about my stay was...Our own holiday programme ...

Proper Spanish Hotel not " Solana!!"
Thorpe family, Lancashire
Stayed again at the Marinada, because it is not in the middle of the noise, yet 10 minutes from the beach/main shops etc. This is a proper old fashioned Spanish hotel. The food is Spanish, with lots of choice each night, familiar and unusual. We loved it. The facilities are good, great pool with plenty of room for sunbeds (not on top of each other even in late July). There are bars/games room/ kids and adults entertainment. The only criticism is the bedrooms are rather dated and basic. Hard beds/no luxuries/old fashioned bathrooms/yet very, very clean. Staff pleasant, but you need to try to speak Spanish. So if you want English food, loud beer drinking people, brash entertainment and only English customers - Go Elsewhere!!. If you want to feel like you have been to Spain, with or without kids (if good eaters) this is the place for you.
The best thing about my stay was...The food is great - varied Spanish dishes every night.
