Room fine. Salou closes for winter so no restraurant except for breakfast which was expensive. Safe cost €5 & car parking €12 per night. Staff spoke English until you made a complaint then suddenly didn't understand. Would not stay there again or recommend it.
The best thing about my stay was...Cafe Tip Top across the road.

Myself & a friend stayed in the Magnolia Salou last wknd from 30th March to 2nd April...the hotel & staff were fantastic.....hotel was spotless & detail to everything was perfect.....only complaint is would have was I would have liked sea view or pool view which was on the side of hotel as front is facing the road i did ask but hotel was full but we used the pool area each day & not a problem.....the staff could lot do enough for us down to making us feel welcome, booking taxis & checking out places for us to eat & opening up breakfast room early for when we were going home early in the morning 7am....all in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone & it is centrally located....loved our stay.....
The best thing about my stay was...The hotel was only a few mins from everything, beach, promenade, shops, restaurants & bus stops

Excellent adult only hotel in a wonderful location
Paul and Liz Creamer, Ireland
We are just after coming back after spending a fantastic week in Magnolia Hotel. I must say we were not impressed with the foyer on arrival as it was very sterile and bare. However, our bedroom was fantastic, it was a superior room which cost €10 extra per night but worth every penny. We had a wrap around balcony with sun loungers with a great view of the pool and the sea. The bed was huge and the shower was massive, room service came every day and was always left spotless. The air conditioning in the room was excellent. It was great after a hot day on the beach to come back to a lovely cool environment. The staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfast was in the outdoor restaurant which was a beautiful location, breakfast was fine with plenty fresh fruit, breads etc., and you could order fried/scrambled/poached eggs or omlette. The location of the hotel was excellent, just five minutes from the beach and in a lovely tree lined street. The pool area was lovely too although we prefer the beach when on holidays. All in all an excellent hotel which I would highly recommend and which we will definitely go back to.
The best thing about my stay was...Beautiful room with great views

Stayed here on many occasions and I still tell everyone that this is the best hotel in Salou.
The best thing about my stay was...The quietness of this hotel

All staff were friendly helpful and spoke English, they gave us some good tips as well. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and modern. The bath/shower room were great. We were only there for 2 nights but had maid service each day with fresh towels and shower gel/soap/shampoo. We got a buffet breakfast with the price. Lots of choice, both hot and cold. Again very clean. Hotel is in a very good location and only a minute stroll to the main beach. The hotel also has a free spa with numerous treatments available. We stayed out of season so didn't have any problems parking and all pay zones did not apply.
The best thing about my stay was...Everything

Great hotel, very clean and quite fancy. Lovely big rooms and big bathroom. Very friendly staff. The one downside was the price of the safe - €5 per day is crazy!
The best thing about my stay was...Lovely room

An enjoyable stay

I stayed for 10 days at the Magnolia in July and got a really good priced deal. I was originally in a Club room but found the road noise disturbing so I upgraded to a Pool room @ 20e / day and the peace and quiet was lovely. Both had superb balconies with table and chairs and 2 comfortable loungers. With the exception of Club and Pool rooms' wrap around balconies, all rooms are the same. They are very spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds, a good minibar, a pleasant sofa, coffee table, desk, choice of pillows and seriously opulent bathrooms, either with a bath or an excellent shower. The room and balconies were kept immaculately clean by very pleasant staff. No TV in English to speak of, which I didn't mind, but No World Cup! V upsetting. I stayed half board and was glad to have got a good deal on that as local restaurants seemed overly expensive. Breakfast is huge with a couple of hot items and dinner consists a good sized buffet for starters and desserts and a main course chosen from around 14 varied options, it was all perfectly acceptable. Machine dispensed hot drinks in the mornings seemed at bit at odds with the overall quality, I would have been very disappointed if I drank coffee. The pool and it's surrounding were well kept and spacious although it's just a stones throw from one of the longest beaches I've ever seen. I didn't reach the end of it during a 20min bus ride! The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were very welcome though not supervised and some guests were pretty thoughtless about splashing water everywhere. I was somewhat surprised as it's an adults only hotel and the ambience everywhere else in the hotel reflected more courteous behaviour. One small moan is that the hotel still advertises use of computers in the public area when this is no longer true, there are none for guest use. However, there is free wifi the ground level though I found it a bit iffy on the higher floor at the pool end. The staff were all as helpful and knowledgeable as one could wish and, perhaps particularly because I'm an older woman travelling alone, I really valued their kindness and help. The hotel is very close to a major bus depot with frequent low cost buses going just about everywhere, however it's a long walk from the station, which is more the centre of town. Salou is a very long narrow resort running parallel to the never ending beach. The middle part is more Spanish and more expensive than nearby Tarragona (which is really worth a visit) and at each end it's more geared to foreign visitors, and prices seem lower. I enjoyed the hotel but I have fully explored Salou and probably wouldn't visit again. On another occasion I would certainly stay in Tarragona though.
The best thing about my stay was...The hotel staff

A fantastic hotel!
Nikki , Ipswich
We have just returned from a fantastic week saying at the Magnolia hotel. The hotel is of a very high standard and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are very spacious with excellent facilities. They are spotlessly clean and are cleaned every day with new bed linen and towels provided. The staff are really friendly and are always happy to help. The Pool area and eating area are very well kept with plenty of space and modern furniture. The Pool is a fresh water pool which makes a lovely change. The selection of food at Breakfast was excellent. There was always plenty of food available and a vast selection. Overall I would recommend the Magnolia to anyone wanting to visit Salou. We are already looking at booking our next stay here- despite only returning last night!
The best thing about my stay was...The location- a 2 minute walk will get you to Salou canter and a further 5 minutes takes you on the beach.
