Once again another fabulous holiday at this hotel, the facilities are amazing and the staff are on the go 24/7 and so friendly! The rooms are a great size and the sofa beds can easily sleep 2 children with lots of room. Fab wetrooms with huge separate bath from the shower. Safe in room is payable at reception and mini bar fully stocked prices not too bad either. In the room your first bottle of water is free this is not advertised anywhere that you’d see it so if on a late arrival it’s great! Pool areas always clean and the lazy river is just fabulous. Food at breakfast and dinner is a buffet and even the fussiest eaters could find something! Buffet theme changes every evening.... chinese night was my fave! Beware of the early risers as with all canaries hotels sun beds are taken before 8am even though the staff pop letters on the beds to say they’ll remove your towel I’ve not seen it in force yet
The best thing about my stay was...Pool area for the kids kept them happy all day long

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in, there was nothing I can fault! The hotel has thought of everything. In the room there is plenty of space, a good size hairdryer you can leave yours at home ladies, electronic safe (chargeable) pillow menu, dressing area, bathroom has large bath and wet room style shower, balcony with drying lines for swimsuits, large TV (we didn't watch so not sure on channels) plenty of draw space and wardrobe space, mini bar and beds are 2 large twins so if you want a double they'll be pushed together plus a large sofa bed which was huge for my 7 year old. The hotel has plenty of seating areas to get away from the heat if need be and lovely bar space cocktails around €6 and beer around €4. The restaurant is buffet style with plenty of choice for all, if you are half board and need lunch I would say take a trip to the supermarket as we paid €6 for a cheese and ham toastie and €9 for a medium pizza to share for lunch socan become expensive! Panchi kids club is awesome the girls work so hard it is on twice a day and then a mini disco every evening the children did lots of crafts, pirate treasure hunts and even a wildlife safari as there are statues of animals all over the hotel.... check out the real turtles too! The pools are another lovely feature we stayed every day close to the lazy river which is great for some chill out time topping up your tan. You will have 3 good size pool towels that are free in your wardrobe and you can exchange them at the huts every day between 10-2 , beware the subbed police too if you like to save a bed and go off in the morning, you will get a note of a half hour warning and your towels removed which I was glad about however having a small child we are up early to the pool anyway, in peak season you will need to be no later than 830am to get a good spot On the last day we were able to reserve a half hour slot for free with a courtesy room for a shower before flying home, don't forget to check the wardrobe though as that's where there's lots of clean towels for you saving you getting your own wet before you leave! All in all a fab hotel, only grumble was our key cards kept re-setting if kept close to your mobile phone which is a pain when your a long way from reception!

Lovely resort but not 5*
Resort is lovely! Beautifully done! Room was fantastic. Generally service, especially in restaurants wasn't 5 star at all. Rude staff. Not attentive. Had to ask for wine menus etc... Wouldn't stay there again, but would go to its sister 5 star hotel instead.
The best thing about my stay was...Room

Top Rate Hotel
We recently stayed at the Baobab and booked a junior suite. We were NOT disappointed. The rooms (bedroom/living room) were so spacious. We also had a walk in shower, bath and two wash hand basins along with a separate toilet. All very clean and well laid out. I loved the double sized balcony with its very comfy sun loungers. But the one thing that bowled me over was the amount of wardrobe space!! (a corridor full). We have definitely spoilt ourselves for the future. Another lovely touch was we were personally escorted to our room by one of the public relations staff, who showed us around, how to work the air con. etc. This is our 2nd time staying at the hotel and we love it. The restaurant is so well laid out and is a lovely setting and the food is displayed well, in all its splendour and spoilt for choice.
The best thing about my stay was...Our junior suite - very spacious

Beautiful resort, no problem finding sunbeds at any time of the day, resort is maintained to perfection with a strong emphasis on cleanliness and service. Some areas that I would have expected to be included in a 5 star hotel are free WIFI in the rooms (limited free WIFI in bars which is insufficient as the hotel is so big), better selection of english speaking channels in the room, shouldn't have to pay for water in the rooms or at dinner when have already paid half board, selection of fresh fruit for breakfast was poor quality ( tinned fruit cocktail),
The best thing about my stay was...Sunbathing facilities

Great hotel. New, clean, unusual. Everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel. however, we did have 2 issues. 1) we booked a double room. however our room had 2 single beds pushed together?! we phoned reception and they said that all the rooms were like this. this is typical in 3 Star package holiday type places but NOT expected at this calibre of hotel. VERY DISAPPOINTING! 2) the balcony lights are on an automatic timer. We wanted to sit outside on the balcony and have a glass of wine after a long day and a nice dinner. however at midnight the balcony instantly became pitch black! we contacted the reception and were told that the lights arre automatic and we would have to drag one of the heavy lamps from the room outside to continue our evening. BIZARRE?? apart from that. everything was great! Excellent room service breakfast HUGE portions. we ordered for one person on the second day instead of 2 and still couldn't finish it! pool was great. staff friendly restaurant very nice and reasonably priced. planning on going again. hopefully they will get some proper double beds soon and put a light switch on the balcony!
The best thing about my stay was...lazy river pool and the great room service

5* Hotel but 3* Food

Second stay at the Baobab. Fantastic hotel, great pools, modern large rooms and the grounds are amazing. Nice location 30 mins on the number 66 bus from the airport (approx 4 euro) , Meleronas is a modern upmarket resort but the beach is only 5 mins away and Playa del Ingles is again only 4 euros by taxi. Would highly recommend this hotel to anybody. Only downside for me was the evening meals. They have the most wonderful outdoor eating area, a great place to enjoy any meal. Breakfast was great, wonderful choice and something for everybody. Lunch at the Pili Pili is highly recommended but manage yor expectations on the evening meal as it can be hit and miss. We stayed for 4 nights and 2 nights were good but 2 were bad! I wouldn't let this put me off staying I would just suggest you go B&B. Great holiday at a great hotel in a wonderful location.

A relaxing,spacious,super Hotel

We have just returned from a lovely 5 night holiday at the Boabab. The weather during the day was warm and sunny-just the way we like it.Although the evenings got a bit chilly for the outside entertainment(a cardigan/jacket was needed). The rooms were spacious with a large bathroom area-very modern, and some of the decor in the room in the 'African Theme'.I was surprised that you have to pay for the use of the safe & fridge in the room (being a 5 star hotel)-but there you go.We were in room 3194 may have been one of the farest rooms from the reception area (and the only way in and out of the Hotel)-a good 3-5 minute walk away,so we always made sure we had everything we needed with us each time when going to breakfast(swim wear etc) & dinner. We stayed 1/2 board which I thought was Great Value for Money. The breakfast was I think from 7am-11am and the dinner was in 2 sittings-we ate at the later one @ 8.30pm.The food is buffet style but eggs(how ever you like them) and pancakes were cooked to order if you wanted and the evening meal there was always meats & fish cooked in front of you. There was always a big selection of foods to choose from-to suit everyone.I would recommend this hotel to anyone. And those with small children there is a great enclosed pool area with a kids club.We also spent a day at the fantastic spa across the road at the Lopesan Costa Hotel-Well worth a visit.
The best thing about my stay was...I took my Mum who thought the Hotel defiantly had the WOW Factor. The hotel has lovely grounds with many tropical plants with many swimming pools to choose from + you could always find a sunbed!
