Perfect for London, 20 minutes on train to Victoria
Stephen Pickering, Hamilton
Shouldn't really praise the hotel as if it becomes more popular less rooms available and prices will increase. Otherwise perfect.
The best thing about my stay was...Convenient for central London

Croyden Jury's is the typical Jury's Inn. Comfortable, the usual very coney beds, very clean, very professional friendly staff and great value. As usual watch out for the breakfasts, they can be huge. So if you are aiming at lunch in London, you will need to exercise a lot of self control. As a base for sightseeing in London it was fine. Just a few minutes away from train stations (Croyden East or West, either will do) but journey could take up to almost an hour depending on which train you caught into Victoria. The trains run out from Victoria to Croyden all through the night. When I asked a porter in Victoria station what time the last train was going to Croyden he seemed to think I was either deranged or had some knowledge of an impending apocalypse. Next time we will stay at either the Chelsea or the Islington Jury's as they are closer to the heart of the city.
The best thing about my stay was...Cleanliness, comfort and value.

hotel was average ,and did the job.
joe healy, Drogheda
room was average, bar was small but ok,restaraunt was always closed when we wanted to check it out (was building work in progress during our stay)all in all average hotel, location about 8/10 mins from main train station and high street.
The best thing about my stay was...croydon was a good location to travel in and out of central london by train as it runs very regular and late at night.

Great Value Hotel
Tony Causer, United Kingdom
The reception staff were efficient and friendly as were also the staff in th bar and restaurant. The rooms was nice and clean, good flat screen tv was a bonus. The full breakfast was very good. This hotel is excellent value for money and superior to the Holiday Inn Express chain which is similarly priced.

Not staying at the Ritz.
Colin Walker, Eastleigh
Somewhat tired looking now and probably due a refit. However the rooms are clean and tidy. The programmes on the TV are pretty limited. I'm not bothered about films so that was OK. There was a bath which I appreciate. I have stayed previously and it is very convenient for where I work when in Croydon. On the first night I ate at the restaurant but the speed of service was poor so now I eat at the bar which is much better although the choice is limited. I'd stay there again. If it was refitted they would put the prices up so it probably represents good value for money at present. Tip - I took a copy of the alph documents with me. Young lady on reception was very good.

Have stayed here many times before. Always reliably clean. Some problems with them finding the paperwork (their fault, not alpharooms) meant they could find no record of our booking when we arrived, and the first chap dealing with it on reception was rather surly. A bit wearing when it's 11:15 pm and you're tired. Breakfast has improved greatly - very good standard and value now. Unfortunately, car parking has gone up, as the hotel now only gets a 25% discount. But I guess it's the price you pay for being under 10 minutes walk from East Croydon station, 30 seconds from Tramlink stop, under 10 minutes walk from the centre of Croydon.

Jury's Inn - Review May 2008
Melanie Welburn, Cambridge, UK
The rooms are pleasant, though the road can be noisy so try and get a high one. Transport networks excellent for non car owners, breakfast is good and staff are amiable. There is no room service, but a bar menu runs most of the day.

Review of 'Jurys Inn Croydon'
brigid o'neill, stockport
Comfortable bed- pleasant room but had to keep curtains closed because there were offices opposite and it was too dark without having lights on - messy soap dispenser in bathroom
objected to having to pay for newspapers - wouldn't take tokens already paid for - breakfast very good - no parking at hotel but have arrangement with shopping centre opposite - get 50% discount - messy though because there is a dual carriage way and have to use a subway to access the car park directly across the road from hotel.

Review of 'Jurys Inn Croydon'
Metta, London (England)
We stayed in the standard double room which is a good size with the general things you need (TV, some Sky channels, hairdryer, tea/coffee tray etc). I've stayed here before and the hotel itself is really nice, really good value for money. Good transportation into Central London with East Croydon train station just round the corner and lots of things in Croydon itself to keep you occupied (shopping centre, bars, pubs, cinema complex just to name a few).

My only downside; the staff could be nicer - the first time we visited them they seemed quite rude (reception staff that is) and this time they were again not the friendliest of people, but I must admit they were more helpful.

Full English Breakfast is great (beans, scrambled/fried eggs, hash browns, toast) as is the continental section (fruit salad, croissants, yoghurts, selection of cereals etc).

If you are wanting to visit Central London this is a really good priced (Nice) hotel that will satisfy your needs - as I said before it's easy to travel into and out of London from here, so this is a good, cheap but great base. :-)

I would stay here again.
