This was our 4th time in Milpalmeras and we decided to stay for 3 weeks this time. we chose Jessica beach as we had sen these apartments many times and they looked wonderful! we loved watching the sun rise every morning ! beatuiful !! Apartment was clean, fresh towels and sheets every day if needed and had everything that we wanted ! it even had a kettle and a toaster!! and english tv programmes!!! (another review said they didnt have english tv and they gave low marks for this.. we only new how to change to english as someone showed us very easy !!! not that we watched it !! lol ) everything great and perfect location to the beach !! and very close to shops and pubs etc . fantastic and would recommend staying at Jessica beach. one of the best pubs in milpalmeras was JP'S fantastic english breakfast and great food and staff very friendly , cant wai to go back !!
The best thing about my stay was...Beach and the view!

Great location - right on the beach (and the sunsets are amazing). Really cheap so we go when we can for a few days away. A couple of minor downsides are that there is a spiral staircase - not great when you have small children; and no kettle. It is basic - but it is clean.
The best thing about my stay was...Location, value for money

I had read many other reviews on here before booking and more or less knew what to expect but I was AMAZED! Very basic but beautiful 2 floor apartments right on the beach front. It could be a little difficult for elderly eople or families with small children due to the spiral staircase. Beautiful location with plenty to see and do. Car hire is advisable as it could be a little isolated. Big Carrefour supermarket in Torrevieja. Book it now, its gorgeous.

September 2008 - (probably the wettest on record which spoilt the possibilities of 10 steps to the beach). 20 minutes from airport though nearly 1 hour to find Hotel Las Palmeras from where you get your keys. Follow road signs for Mil Palmeras towards sea, turn left at Supermarket/Bank/Pizza Nostra and hotel is at end of road. Superb location - apartments in need of TLC especially louvre shutters BUT you have everything you need (except kettle). Half a dozen restaurants/cafes around the corner with Menu of the day 10- 15 euros. Massive Carrefour in Oheulia (10 minutes in car) Cartegena, south and Elx/Elche, north have enough history to fill a half day (most museums close 2.30-4.30) but the most helpful Tourist Offices in the Med.

We stayed here last year for a weekend and had a fab time, it was a must to return again this year. Just returned from a weeks stay this time, this is a beautiful place looking over the sea everything you need is here cooker, microwave, fridgefreezer, telly pots and pans etc. There are a handful of bars and restuarants. if your looking for a chillout holiday this is the place to be sit on your patio with a bottle of wine at night watching the sunset. we flew into murica airport this time which only took 15 mins with the sat nav, and we drove to benidorm on the sunday which took an hour. you have to get your keys from the hotel 5mins away, and you can use the pool which is nice, and you can use all the faciltys in the hotel. the place itself is hard to find it took us about 2hrs last year, but with a sat nav 15 mins from murcia and a hour from alicante. bad points only one shop nearby, but if you have a car this is ok as there are lots of towns to visit. We will be going back to jessica beech again.

Review of 'JESSICA BEACH'

Location- Both good and bad. There is only one grocery store within walking distance, but there is an array of excellent restuarants and bars right around the corner.

Apartment- The water heater is quite small (at least for a nice American-style shower) so be prepared to wait a while if more than one person. We went during February and found that there are no heaters besides for one space heater, but there are plenty of blankets supplied. Bring a lighter or matches as the stove is propane-fueled. No microwave, but has a limited supply of cooking utensils and a nice sized refrigerator/freezer. Lots of space. It has a futon in the living room, a queen size bed (European) in one room, and two full-size beds and a fold up cot in the second room. The TV is tiny, but not much time was spent in the room.

The apartment was very difficult to find. After two hours of searching we found out that you have to check in at the Manoli Hotel. The actual apartment is actually 3km away. We wished that we had known this information before we arrived, but hopefully this helps others.

Beautiful view and right on the beach. It was nice to sit on the porch with supplied plastic table and chairs and watch the sunset or drink coffee while watching the sun rise in the morning. Definitely a place that we will return to.
