3 time and still not disappointed
This is the 3rd time we have visited with two children . This year was the best so far , seeing as the kids are a little bit older now . Cannot complain about anything . Pool areas clean and what I liked was that the kids were allowed to be kids . No telling off for jumping in or basically having fun. The children's entertainers make you feel welcome and all the activities were enjoyed by all of us. Great idea to allow the kids to go into the spa for an hour a day .
The best thing about my stay was...Being there

Lovely family holiday
amanda mullin, United Kingdom
Had a fantastic 8 days here at the very start of the season and loved it. With 3 outside pools and a spa with sauna, heated pool and a gym the kids were very happy. Rooms equipped as per standard seldmf catering room, very clean with 6 times per week made service. For a 3 star it beat our expectations and we would definitely return. Staff friendly and nothing too much trouble. Prices all round very reasonable too. Great hotel for anyone wanting to cycle too with free afternoon pasta for all participants. Great supermarket opposite and plenty of lovely restaurants close by or if you want to really spoil yourself you can upgrade to half board for €23 pppd. Would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...Great pools for the kids and loads of very comfortable sun beds.

Excellent hotel out of high season
Kevin G, London
Excellent hotel with very few British holidaymakers and children of any nationality. I suspect staying in high season would be a different experience. Be amazed at the size of breakfasts chosen by the cycling community.
The best thing about my stay was...The wide variety of Mediterranean food

1 bed apartment was very clean and spacious, room with road view had lovely view of mountains. Staff were very helpful. Useful space across the road for bikes at good price. Little stroll to local restaurants but good after a day on the bike.
The best thing about my stay was...bike storage, location to mountains

in a lot of hotels and apartments around the Mediterranean and Canaries, and the Ivory Playa was by far the nicest and cleanest! We were really impressed! Our welcome was very warm; the location is so close to the beach it was great! The staff were so friendly and obliging. The pool area and pool side bar was fab. Our apartment was nice-maybe a little small for 2 adults and 2 kids but that's a minor problem. And the evening entertainment for the kids was great. Would totally recommend.
The best thing about my stay was...Hotel was so clean, and friendly staff

Ideally placed between two resorts, 10 mins to Platja de Muro and 20 mins to bars & restaurants of Alcudia
David Carden, Chester
Welcoming staff, exceptionally clean hotel, good sized rooms and amazing pools. We only ate at the poolside bar/café - the food was good and well priced. Entertainment every night but we didn't stay for this as it was aimed at Families, children appeared to be kept entertained throughout the day by the entertainment staff. Use the Eroski supermarket across the road, much cheaper than the Spar supermarkets dotted around. When walking to Alcudia bars/restaurants take the 4th turning left after the Eroski supermarket and walk along the lakeside to avoid the traffic. We can recommend the Roma restaurant in the main part of Alcudia and the Dakito restaurant on the way to Platja de Muro, avoid the Casa del dragon Chinese restaurant. Walk along the beach heading towards Platja de Muro as far as you can (you'll come to a canal) go out onto the road and cross over the bridge to the Nature Reserve, it's free and well a worth a visit
The best thing about my stay was...Location and friendly staff

I can't stay away
This hotel is the best I've ever experienced. I started coming here with my family when I was only 14. I'm 26 now and myself and my partner alike wouldn't dream of staying in any other hotel (or resort for that matter) I took a break from the vory Playa a few years in a row to see what else was out there in terms of competition, but I never found a hotel like it. It's almost a home away from home. The whole hotel is spotless and faultless, the staff are an amazing polite and funny bunch. The childrens entertainers really keep the kids involved and happy. The beach is a stone throw away (literally) Tony' (Hawaii) resteraunt is on the back and the food is fab there if you dont want to go far to eat. The big supermarket across the road has anything you could possibly need and is so cheap. The pool is lovely and the lifegaurds remove all towels (reserving) the beds if they are not in use so there's no fighting over "reserved" beds. The air con works in the rooms despite what others think, you just have to know that tehre are controls for it. I love the roadside view as it has a view of the mountains, gets the sun in the evening which is lovely, and its great for watching the world go by. But I also love the pool / sea view, thats so calming and lovely. The Smiths bar and posh paddy are only a 10 minute walk away and they are great craic for a night out. It's really a very sweet place to be and I dread leaving it every year. I cant wait for July. We're going back, and so looking forward to it.
The best thing about my stay was...There's no nicer feeling than staff remembering your name and so happy to see you return

Nice hotel - Friendly staff and close to the beach
Sandra , Dublin
We stayed in the Ivory playa for 9 nights, I had requested a cot to be in the bedroom for my 16 month old little girl, there was no cot in the room and asked reception to provide one and I was told that I would have to pay €34.80 for the rental of the cot for the 9 nights, I really one bit impressed with this. while it is not a huge amount of money I still think that it should be clearly stated when booking that this is the policy of the hotel, I had never heard of such a thing of having to pay for a cot. We paid for the room to be a garden room so having paid this prior to our arrival I think it was a little cheeky to be asked for the extra monry for the supply of a cot.

We had nine nights at Ivory Playa and we are quit satisfied. The staff are professional and very nice. As we had a rental car, the location did not matter. Our kids 6 and 9 years old liked the club a lot and spent a lot of time participating in the programs. As it was offpeak (beginning of May) the poolarea was quiet and not too crowded. The heated pool is small but big enough...in May. The room was ok but you better be careful what You talk and do because of the thin walls.

what a lovely, friendly hotel this is! i had read all reviews about this hotel before we went and they were all good.Although we went out of season and it was very quiet the hotel was spotless, the rooms were spotless and the staff are ever so polite and friendly.the room has a kettle, which is a bonus in spain,a microwave and two rings on the hob.we also controlled our own heating(it was cold at night).would definetly go back to this hotel, although next time would book a garden view because we were facing a main road which i am sure would be busier in high season.
The best thing about my stay was...love alcudia beach-you can just keep walking, its lovely!

2010 at the Ivory Playa
mark patton, Stockport
Having been to Alcudia in 2008 we knew what to expect of the Resort itself but we hadnt really been to the end of town where the Ivory Playa was situated. Like most people these days, reading up on peoples reviews of hotels in the area you are looking to stay, is in my opinion an absolute must. One of the reasons why we plumped for The Ivory Playa this year. From the reviews that I read I knew I had made the right choice and that the Hotel would hopefully live upto expectations........needless to say it did. The Ivory Playa is a roadside hotel from the front but from the rear you see views of the beach and the sea. If you can get one the Garden / Pool view rooms are great and the Higher rooms Floor 3 to Floor 5 will give you the better views of the sea. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and you see staff cleaning all the time throughout the day and into the early evening. Pool area is very nice and there are usually plenty of sunbeds but not always in the Sun as the Gardens do offer quite a lot of shade down 1 side of the pool. Contrary to other reviews people DO "reserve" sunbeds with towels early in the morning in order to get the "sunniest" parts of the pool area. This didnt bother us cos we prefer the Beach in the day and come back for a swim late afternoon. The beach is literally 2 minutes out the back of the hotel great location when your dragging kids and lilo's etc etc. Bar prices are ok and the Food at the outside Bar area is good value and very decent quality. If you are not HB or FB then eating here does provide a good alternative, otherwise get a taxi into the Port it costs the same as a bus, and there are plenty of nice restaurants in and around the Port. Our favourite was Bistro Mar.... Steak and Lamb to die for !! Childrens entertainment and Adults entertainment was OK , we have seen and experienced much better but also seen much worse , so it was really middle of the road. The apartment rooms were very nice indeed benefitting from upto date furnishings and decor and plenty of space especially for a family of 4 with more luggage / toys than you can shake a stick at !!! Maids kept the place spotless every day and towels were changed if you wanted them . The only thing that let the room down was the Air conditioning... It was great in the Living area but woefully inadequate in the Bedroom so it was always a fight who was sleeping on the Sofa beds in the lounge !!!!!! That said, it in no way spoilt the holiday. All in all the Ivory Playa was an excellent apartment hotel and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anybody looking for a place to stay in Alcudia Beach. !!
The best thing about my stay was...The weather in Alcudia compared to the rain in Manchester and seeing Take That at The Lunas Grill
