Our room was very nice but dated, also very warm as it had the sun all day, complex very tidy and well kept, large pool very cold water. Food ok if you like meat, not to warm at times and much the same every day, shame other members of our party were moved 7km away which spoilt our family/birthday holiday
The best thing about my stay was...The weather

Just had 4 days here and it was fabulous! The staff and food were fantastic. The room was kept really clean, very spacious and comfortable, the only down side and a minor problem was the dark corridor to our room, a bit dated but still clean would definitely go again!
The best thing about my stay was...The food!

Fantastic break. the hotel grounds were great, cleaned every day by an army of staff, pool etc. Food was really good and the beer not watered down. Fantastic for all families and not like benidorm full of brits (if you know what i mean)
The best thing about my stay was...the weather, food and the views

Overall a good experience

First time to book all-inclusive and had some reservations about hotel & food quality based on some reviews. However those folk must have been at a different hotel or professional nit pickers. The hotel is clean, generally well maintained with extensive grounds and friendly polite staff. The room was certainly adequate enabling good night's sleep, although the walls are rather thin so not so good if neighbours are noisy. Lovely elevated view along beach towards Maspalomas and is about 20/25 min walk to centre, though taxi back is only ~£3. Good choice of food at all sittings. Only occasional need to queue briefly at busy times. Food itself generally good and should be able to find something to suit all tastes. Minor negatives include having to pay 2 euro a day for in-room safe; 10 euro deposit for TV remote control and paying for in-room Wi-Fi although it is free in main bar.
The best thing about my stay was...Finding Manni & Chris's bar across the road and watching the Swans win away at S'oton while enjoying decent German beer !

Great hotel but desperately needs AIR-CON!!
Laura Waring, Newtownabbey
We stayed at this hotel two years ago and loved it so we thought we'd go back. Some things had changed. Gone were the sun loungers on your terrace. The soft drinks, especially the Coke, were undrinkable and there was a new superslide introduced in the pool. As we had been previously we were aware that there was no air-con in the hotel (we hired a fan) so we knew what to expect. But the temperatures this time were unseasonably high (up to 48 degrees!) which meant we were sweltering night and day. We asked the bar man if he could put the air-con on in the bar one evening and when he asked the head waiter he refused, saying he'd open a couple of doors. Again, this time we hired a fan and a mini fridge (to store medication) and were charged the sum of 30 euro for the fan and 60 euro for the fridge (for 9 days) which we thought was very steep seeing as you can BUY a mini fridge for £80 and a fan for £10. At an extra charge we booked a family room which was well worth the money, very spacious. But be aware there are no lifts in the buildings housing these rooms and we had to get our luggage up and down 2 flights of stairs. The rooms are kept clean but our bedding was only changed once during our stay and the communal areas and hallways are extremely dirty ( two dead cockroaches lay outside our room for 4 days). But I think this is more a case of the hotel trying to cut costs rather than the laziness of the cleaners. The best thing about this hotel is the food. Piping hot, varied and lots of it. We enjoyed sirloin steak and the Chinese bar was excellent. But again be warned - the snack bar is like feeding time at the zoo, with kids running around, food and drink being spilled and greedy people taking more than they can eat and leaving it to rot in the sun. The night-time entertainment is very good and the entertainers work tirelessly during the day with activities for young and old. Overall the hotel is great but it is at the top of a long hill and no-where near shops and restaurants, although 5 euros will take you to Playa del Ingles. If air-con was installed and the cleaning stepped up a little it would make a perfect holiday.

Clean, pleasant and comfortable
Lady traveller, Hurst Green, East Sussex
Greeted in friendly fashion and upgraded from a single room to a family suite, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely gardens and views over towards Maspalomas. Some degree of fitness or mobility needed as the hotel is situated at the top of a big hill, with the choice of a longish walk up or down a hill or 147 steep steps to the seafront. Lovely long walks/runs (quite a lot of runners) along the seafront and promenade, right round Maspalomas dunes if you fancy it (about 7 miles). The food was ok, not the best I've encountered and a bit samey, limited choice if veggie although plenty of fresh fruit and salad at each meal. Not many quiet relaxing areas in the evening as entertainment (of varying quality, although African dancers/gymnasts amazing) in the main bar area every evening. All in all, a pleasant stay, although the weather was a bit disappointing this year, mostly overcast.
The best thing about my stay was...Nice room and I like this area of Gran Canaria.

Terrible, the worst holidays in my life
Terrible, the worst holidays in my life. It´s impossible to sleep due the noise during the night (till 2/3 a.m.) and all day. When I made a complaint the hotel staff invite me to leave (without giving the payment back), what is incredible regarding that I din´t break any rule neither had an incorrect behaviour!!!!!!!!!! I´d never been treated this way in my life.
The best thing about my stay was...The gardens

Nice hotel for a quiet relaxing break. San Augustin is a quiet resort; and the hotel is also located in a quiet area with no bars/restaurants adjacent to it but we went all inclusive so there was no need for venturing outside hotel really. Entertainment could be better organised. Could not fault the food. Bedrooms were cleaned daily; pool area was very clean and well laid out with plenty of space. Good entertainment during day around pool; aquaaerobics, bingo, tabletennis, etc. Staff at reception were very helpful. Overall I would recommend the hotel, but would not be staying in for evening entertainment.

Very family orientated, spacious rooms and friendly staff, excellent choice of food in restaurant
Noreen, Ennis, Clare, Ireland
There were 11 of us that stayed in the IFA Interclub Atlantic for 1 week April 12-19, booked 3 rooms. We stayed in the Graciosza block on ground floor. The rooms were very spacious and a gorgeous gardenette which was ideal for the kids to run around. The pools are fabulous, and plenty sunbeds available. The casual dining in the pool snack bar was ideal when taking a break from the pool and sunbathing. We could not fault the all-inclusive package, worked out a treat.
The best thing about my stay was...Cleanliness of Rooms, great choice of pools, beautiful gardens in hotel

March 2011 We have just returned from a relaxing week at this hotel/complex. We found it to be very clean; the staff extremely helpful and friendly and the food plentiful and varied. The 'Animation' team provided entertainment/games during the daytime for the children and adults alike and put on a variety of shows etc for the evening. They worked extremely hard and were so friendly to everyone. Thanks to everyone there for a great week!
The best thing about my stay was...overall friendliness of staff.

The hotel was a good place to stay. The junior suite we stayed in was nice and kept clean by the maids. The only thing missing from the room was air conditioning as it was very hot at night and I would have done anything for air con. The TV in the room also has to be paid for. The hotel complex itself lives upto it's three stars, it is definately that. The pool is fantastic. We stayed all inclusive and there was great variety of food each day. The drinks included were ok, all the regular soft drinks, red , white and rose wine and one lager is available. The drinks are only cheap but thats all you can really expect. San Agustin is a quiet place so if you are looking for night life head for Playa del Ingles.
The best thing about my stay was...The outdoor areas of the complex, good swimming pool, good bar.
