Excellent

Excellent breakfast with the best baugettes. Good location close to tram stops and I P Parlova Metro station. The internet access is great. The only pity was that IBIS did not have kettle or coffee maker in room. Recetionists are friendly and efficient.

The best thing about my stay was...

The breakfast is great and the receptionists are friendly.

super friendly staff, nice bistro/cafe,very good food in local pubs

stayed here 3 times. rooms for 2 in fab condition, new bathrooms , super warm +cosy rooms.very comfy beds, lots of pillows. no safe in room but safety deposit boxes near reception.. reception staff very knowledgeable + helpful. family rooms are larger with bed setee for kiddy, good bistro/cafe on 1st floor. breakfast has good selection, but not bacon + eggs . only scrambled eggs + frankfurter sausages, don't expect full english.lots of cheeses , meats , jams, fresh fruits, yoghurts, french bread, and sliced bread for the toasters .best fruit juices ever. bottled water very expensive in hotel, about £3.50 PER LITRE BOTTLE. small shop 2 doors along street (looks like dvd rental shop) has huge water and soft drinks for about £1 . fixed price novotel/ibis taxi from airport 595 KRN.can be booked on line with hotel. same price for return for 4 people plus 4 cases. I.P.Pavlova Metro station 2 mins away. and tram stop about 3-4 mins away. catch tram 22 which takes you across river, passes petrin hill and up hill to rear of castle, tickets must be validated by inserting ticket into orange box just inside door of tram or at the entrance of metro.this stamps start time onto ticket. tram /metro tickets can be purchased at reception 100KRN FOR 24HOURS. tram ticket can also used on funicular railway up/down petrin hill. great value hotel , its possible to use pool and sauna next door in novotel for 200 krn per day.

The best thing about my stay was...

friendly staff . nice bistro. on route of tram no.22 to castle area

Enjoyable Experience

Hotel was very easy to find from Wenceslas Square as directed. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and was tidied everyday and clean towels given. I just have one small issue and its regarding the pool. The hotel was advertised as having pool and sauna but it was actually located next door in the Novotel. We had to pay 200 crown each to access the facilities. Was very misleading and dissappointed at having to pay extra. Apart form this I would reccommend this hotel if you are visiting Prague.

Ibis Praha Wenceslas Square

Excellent. This was my second visit to Prague and was more enjoyable because of this lovely hotel. Spotless, comfortable and very convenient to metro. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast had plenty of variety. Staff were welcoming and friendly. When I return to Prague in the future, I will definitely book into this Hotel again! I will also be recommending it to my friends and work colleagues.

Happy Guest

Just arrived back a week ago after a 4 night stay at thid hotel. I couldn't fault it. It was clean, comfy bed, good service, friendly reception staff and a great choice of breakfast. It is 1 min away from a metro stop and less than a 10 min walk to Wencelas and Old Town Squares. Prague is a beautiful city, which I intend to return to soon. I will be staying at the Ibis for the money it is excellent value.

having just returned from beautiful prague we found this hotel was very clean and well located for our needs close enough to walk to main attractions and also very close to tram stop and metro . we purchased a 24 hour pass for transport, which was well worth it .take tram 22 or23 for castle catch the tram going downhill from hotel. also don't miss going up the petrin tower overlooking prague city its fantastic, take a ride on the funicular your tram pass can be used for this it takes you up to the tower. thanks alpharooms for an excellent hotel we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend this hotel.

Review of 'IBIS PRAHA WENCESLAS SQUARE'

Room was slightly smaller than expected but very clean and well kept, no tea/coffe facilities in room which I have had at other IBIS hotels stayed at. Beware Novotel next door was £50 more for exactly same vicinity. Easy walk into Prague centre approx 5-10 minutes, great taxi service from hotel to the airport good value overall, staff great and the bar/restaurant very female user friendly. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Review of 'IBIS PRAHA WENCESLAS SQUARE'

I returned from an enjoyable stay in Prague on Wednesday. I booked my hotel well in advance and im glad i did as this hotels tends to fill up quickly.

On arriving at the airport (which was of a much higher standard than i was expecting) we were greated by our pre-booked taxi driver It was hassle free and very efficent.

On arriving at the hotel we were very pleased. We were greated by friendly staff who could speak good English. We were checked in quickly and given a room close to that of the others in our group. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable.
On returning to reception i requested another pillow and a extra towel. I went up in the lift and the maid was there with the towel around 2 minutes after i had requested it. The only fault i would mention is that they had only 5 hairdryers for the whole hotel and there werent any available during our stay.

The breakfast was fantastic and really did have something for everyone (cereals, fruit, bread, ham, cheese, sausages, scrambled eggs)and empty dishes were replaced frequently.

The location of the hotel was excellent only 5minute walk from wenceslas square. The restuarts on wenceslas square are a little over priced and ones that are much better value for money can be found on the side streets. Be aware that in some restaurants they charge for the bread that you didnt ask for and also add a service charge. There is every kind of eating place you can imagine from traditional food to pizza and fast food outlets (ive never seen so many mc donalds).Generally food and drink is much cheaper and if you look around you can get a pint of beer for a pound.

As you come out of the hotel turn right then at the cross roads turn left crossing the road on at the lights. when on the other side of the road look to your left and you will see a sign saying pizzaria. This restaurant looks a bit dodgy but the food was lovely, had a large choice and the people were pleasent. our bill for 4 people including 2pints each and a main course and desert was around £5 each.

When changing money be aware that the rate advertised outside the exchange shops is the rate you get for changing korunas into pounds not the other way around we found this really misleading.

Visiting the castle is a must and if you go into the church part of it on the right hand side there is a little door leading to around 280 step
