Wonderful holiday

, Newark, Nottinghamshire

We stayed at the Alcudia Park hotel and have a great family holiday. The pool area is superb especially for small children as there is one pool that my 4 year old could stand up in so had some freedom. The staff were excellent - very helpful. The maid service in the room was first class. The food was amazing - so much choice and a big restaurant so even n the very busy periods we managed to find a table easily.

This was our second time staying at Alcudia Park. It's a great hotel, very clean, excellent staff and great facilities. The Mini Club and nightly Mini Disco was a big hit with my 5 year old. Would definitely recommend to anyone with children.

Relaxing Holiday, Fantastic Food in beautiful location

, Southend on Sea

The Iberostar Alcudia Park was a lovely hotel set on the wide expanse of Alcudia bay. The location was perfect with the rooms a stones throw from the beach where you could relax and soak up the sun and enjoy the warmth of the meditarranean. The Hotel is compact with everything within short distance. The Hotel itself is off a busy road, but with the room we had with a side sea view you could not hear traffic, rather the waves gently lapping on the shore. I have to say the food was excellent, yes the restaurant was very busy, but going int he heihgt of the holiday season you expect that, but the variety and range of food was brilliant. From the vast range of fish to the fresh fruit we really could not fault it. Highlights for the food was the breakfast when a cheaf was preparing fresh fruit for you - one day the fruit was exotic with lychies, figs and ugly fruit, other days it was pineapple. The evening meal included speciality dishes every evening - lobster/prawns, duck breasts whole fresh salmon. I could go on ! As an all inclusive it was brilliant being able to serve yourself soft drinks, slush for the kids, even wine if you wanted. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble and you were always greated with a smile. It was lovely that you could spend the monring on the beach saunter to the beach bar, get a seat in a prime position and eat freshly grilled fish whlst drinking sangria. It was amusing to watch but not be part of the rush for sun beds. If you went out to the pool at 7.30am the beach unbrellas had towels around them being reserved ! by 8.15am people began standing like sentries around the sun beds which were locked - then came the great `unlocking' where people scrambled for their bed and got the desired position - all very good natured and i only heard a couple of altercations `you are in my space'. However, for us we decided the better option was to hire/reserve a sun bed and unbrella on the beach (10 euro a day) and all the hastle went out of the situation. As the sea and pool was in such close proximity to each other (literally two minutes) for us, it was better to have the space and the beauty of the sea rather than the pool side views ! Our daughter (12) was fine going back and forth for a swim in the pool whenever she wanted. The entertainment was the usual you would expect - however i have to say it was not `in your face ' as has it has been in other places. One day there was a lovely latino aquarobics in the sea which the hotel put on with melon and water - great atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and the maid service excellent. With all holidays you have good and bad - for us who always make the most of eveything we are blessed with, we certainly felt VERY lucky to have the priveledge of being able to experience the hotel and what it offered us. We generally have a rule never to visit the same place more than once - however for this hotel I might make an exception.

Fair experience

We actually stayed at Iberostar Ciuad Blanca as Alcudia Park was fully booked. Room was disappointing and definitely not 4 stars - walls need repainting, no ventilation in bathroom, air conditioning old and noisy. Initially our room was at 3rd floor up very narrow stairs, very unsuitable and unsafe for children. Food was excellent, location of hotel was amaizing, pool was very good, hotel staff overall was ok - more helpful at reception. Would I return? Probably I would but room should not be in complex 6 and we might think to have our nanny with us :)

Great Food, fantastic weather lovely beech

, Ascot

Great food, friendly staff. Our accommodation was ideal for a small family with the basic kitchen facilities. We were lucky to have a first floor room with a huge terrace area covered with artificial grass where the children could run around even when we were in our apartment. The setting and its closeness to the beach made it really easily manageable with young children and all the packing that goes with it. Slightly disappointed with the children's entertainment and kids clubs which were not as imaginative and varied as we imagined or hoped. Free drinking water in the apartment and in the restaurant would have been a nice touch even if it meant a few more Euros overall cost. It was very busy and we hardly ever managed to get a free sunbed around the pool.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The variety, quality and quantity of food was beyond expectation!

Exceeded our expectations, absolutely loved it!

We stayed at the Iberostar Alcudia Park for 10 days all-inclusive at the end of August 2010. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing pool complex and it sits right on the beach. The food was brilliant, plenty of choice, always hot and fully stocked. We stayed in a 1 bedroom sea view apartment in block 5 which had plenty of room and was comfortable. The view was a partial sea view as it was overlooking the side of the hotel but was still very good. The bathroom was excellent, with a lovely hot shower & bath, plenty of hot water and good quality toiletries. A maid service calls daily and cleans/changes sheets/puts bottle of water in the fridge. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good although the kiddies disco gets a little repetitive! My little boy loved it though. The alcoholic drinks were very good - I literally cannot find fault with this hotel. The one thing I would comment on though is that it is quite a distance from the town of Alcudia. You wouldn't be able to walk it, we took a taxi which cost us about 10 Euros. If you are happy to stay on the resort then this is the place for you. If however, you want to go out clubbing, sight-seeing then maybe you'd prefer somewhere closer to the town.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The quality & quantity of the food & drink!

Clean and well run, but has faults

Great looking Hotel, rooms were very clean and to a good standard, we went BB which suited us, AI was available as a 25 euro per person per day supplement, we declined it, but be aware to buy drinks at the hotel bar is very expensive, anyway we were on a cycling holiday and every hotel in the Alcudia/pollensa is bike friendly, but not Alcudia park, they insisted i left my bike in my car outside the hotel, could not belive this, they have just lost a return booking, also when i booked in i explained i had a night flight and that i would need a room till 6pm they agreed, but on departure day they denied i had booked a room, after a lot of disscussion they found us a room for a surcharge of 43.50 euro, not good.

Very, very recommendable

, Kolding, Denmark

We selected this hotel from the hotel website and other reviews. The hotel staff met us with a very friendly and serviceminded attitude throughout our stay. The location and facilities was perfect for a family like ours, the food at the hotel was excellent and the animationteam worked hard to entertain the children as well as the adults. We will seriously consider revisiting this hotel and can recommend it to other families.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The pool area and vicinity to the beach

One of our best ever holidays

, Leeds

We spent a week here at Spring Bank Holiday All Inclusive having chosen this hotel whilst staying just across the road in 2008. The hotel was immaculately clean and tidy and all the staff were exceptionally friendly without being over the top. Every member of my family had their needs met, from my 5 year old enjoying mini club to my 9 year old enjoying the table tennis. My hubby and I just enjoyed reading a book on a lounger by the pool. Loungers were set out at 9am each morning so there was none of the usual grief trying to reserve loungers at 7am with towels. Food was superb with the restaurant available for 3 meals a day and the beach bar available for lunch and snacks. The location right on the beach gave us a choice of sunbathing locations. We only left the hotel once for a walk....we had all we wanted and more for a week! The rooms were dated but had everything we needed and the maid service was great. We would really reccomend this hotel and are currently looking at the Iberostar brochure for Easter!

We went half board on last week of March 08, with hindsight we probably arrived three weeks too early as not a lot open in the resort! Room was very good with a kitchen with microwave and a living room and separate bedroom, it was well appointed with good decor and was of 4* standard and had a nice sea view. The hotel was about half full with maybe 10 other children staying which was nice for our children as they weren’t the only ones there! The restaurant and food was as good as the best of the four star spanish hotels and staff were absolutely top notch. There is a smallish heated indoor pool [though large enough for out of season to be fair] and an enormous outdoor pool. Our only gripe was that the main hotel bar was a bit lacking in character. Now here’s the best bit.... this hotel is on a beach, now they all claim to be beside a beach, but this hotel is really on a beautiful sandy beach!!! The hotels pool bar is on the beach also but doesn’t open out of season till mid april, so we made the best of it and went to the local supermarket and brought our own drinks and lunch snacks which we had at the pool bar balcony each day! Really we can’t emphasise enough how great all the staff were. Even out of season the entertainment still ran and the kids club was great, they really looked after our girls and there was kids entertainment and a show each night. This would be an amazing place in the summer and yet was still a right result for an out of season break with the kiddies. Would we return? Definitely.
