I really can recommend this hotel without restrictrions

My room at the 3rd floor was to the street side. But the window has a good sound insulation. By the way the the traffic is settling down between 23:30 and 00:00 in Arrecife at Frebruary. The breakfast is normal European standard for this hotel category. The ground flagging are reflecting and the whole hotel is modern. The desk clerks are very helpful and do a good job.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The hotel is in front of the beach

OK for 1 night

We stayed here one night en route to La Palma. We booked this hotel rather than a cheaper one as the overview stated rooms all had balcony or terrace and have been stuck without this facility before when booking town hotels away from the tourist areas. We booked bed and breakfast in an economy room thinking that would be ok for one night, when we arrived we were told that only the more expensive sea-view rooms had balcony and that ours just had a window. We went to the room only to find that the window opened onto an internal corridor! Even with air conditioning this was just too claustrophobic as it was not possible to open the curtains due to people using the corridor. We paid 12 Euro to upgrade to a seaview room, this was lovely, comfortable and airey, I would advise to book one of these rooms. the reception staff were really helpful and friendly, and the buffet breakfast was good, cold continental but plenty of choice and it wasnt until after we had finished we realised that a hot breakfast was also available on request. The hotel was very clean. As it was in the business district it was not ideal for a base for a longer holiday but ideal for our one night stop over. Bars and restaurants were not far away but as we arrived at night we did not find this out til daylight as we obviously had not walked far enough along the road in the dark which was disapointing. There vwas a town beach opposite the hotel accross a busy road but not set up for tourists eg no sunbeds, watersports etc.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Comfortable one upgraded. Helpful staff.

GREAT HOTEL - WONDERFUL LOCATION for a city break

, Chester

Just returned from a week's stay and couldnt fault our sea front room with balcony. The hotel staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful in every respect, and the rooms were spotless and service was 1st class. Having lived on the island for 10 years, I booked the break only 24 hrs before going, and wanted to stay in the capital for the "3 Kings" celebrations. A "must" is to book a "seaview room", as the back of the hotel overlooks the main dual carriageway into Arrecife and so you wouldnt want to open the juliet doors. For business or 1 night stay thats fine, but for a holiday, pay the extra for the seaview and balcony. We couldn't fault the hotel in any respect and would certainly stay there again.

The best thing about my stay was ...

City/bachfront Location, cleanliness and great staff

Great value for money

, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

Due to the demise of flyglobespan, we were required to make alternative last minute flight arrangements to our holiday destination. This resulted in us having to book a hotel in Lanzarote for an extra night. We came across the Hotel Diamar on the Internet, a 3 star hotel which was reasonably priced. We were a party of 8 requiring 4 rooms which the hotel were able to accommodate To be honest, we were not expecting anything extravagant, however on arriving we found the reception area spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful staff within. Our rooms were again found very clean and tidy, sizeable with excellent facilities With breakfast included in the price the Hotel Diamar is very good value for the money. The location on the beach front is a bonus with plenty of shops and restaurants a short walking distance away. We were further able to book a room until 8pm to store our luggage, as our flight home was not until 11pm Staff also arranged taxis to transport us to the airport in plenty time for our flight. I have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Diamar for its location and excellent value. Although it was for only one night, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay longer in the future
