Best wishes to staff.olivia &Simone restaurants..Sergio,Restaurant. And Housekeeping very good. Reception staff and in particular Iriene,Diego, Top persons on the phone and at reception counter. All deserve a raise. Food could have been a bit hotter at times. Entertainment was all Spanish, would have been better if it was Bi Lingual to envolve everyone.Due to it being April practically all the bars close were closed and no music etc.with weather very bad,3 +1/2 days from 11 it wasn't ideal.
The best thing about my stay was...Plenty of rest.

The best thing about my stay was...the location was good the breakfast was cold.most spanish hotels have a chef on hand in the morning to cook bacon and eggs in front of you

after a days travelling , and looking forward to getting to the hotel ,we arrived there at 9pm ,only to find the hotel was CLOSED !!!!!! no one had informed us prior to leaving , there was no one round ,and eventually found someone who informed us that all bookings had been transferred to a hotel 9KMS away ... although very nice , no where near where we wanted to be !!! and miles from bars and restaurants etc ...which meant we had to spend a small fortune on taxis etc ..... if you have booked this hotel ....check it out as its shut till easter 2013
The best thing about my stay was...coming home

Short break in Mojacar
Jim P, Nottingham
Booking in quick and easy, friendly staff "English speaking". Room confortable beds hard but gave us a good nights sleep. Room no frills but clean, could have done with tea making facilities. All other guests Spanish, not a problem, but be prepared for a noisy atmosphere. Breakfast good but evening meal, would give it a miss, plenty of restaurants a short walk away.
The best thing about my stay was...Sea view from the spacious balcony

Left much to be desired

Not in the habit of making negative comments but I feel it is only fair to people looking for a nice hotel. While the rooms were clean the towels were very old and would not be used as pool towels in most hotels we have visited. The dining room was incredible, food of very low quality, plates always wet and in many cases dirty. On our last morning I had to ask the manager if I could have some butter, I thought he might bring some out for the others guests to select from the buffet but to my surprise he brought a few portions on a plate for us. Obviously butter was too good for the rest of the guests. Unbelievable!!!! At least we brought a smile to a couples faces when we gave them the rest of the butter as we were leaving the restaurant. We will certainly not choose this Mojacar hotel again, there are much better ones available at pretty much the same price. Apologies for being so negative.
The best thing about my stay was...Sea views from balcony.

Fantastic location and rooms but.....
Front facing room as requested, spotless modern room with two double beds, fantastic vista of Mojacar Playa. Predominately Spanish residents, hey when in Spain! Let down by quality of food in dining room, normal buffet style but food really was not great and allied with the normal scrum encouraged us to eat out after the first experience! Great pools and massive jacuzzi in good outside areas. Dissapointingly the inside bar was closed throughout, leaving only the poolside bar open with plastic glasses, ugh! Would recommend on a B&B or room only basis if your prepared to leave the hotel for food and drink. Numerous bars and restaurants nearby and a good bus service to Mojacar Pueblo.
The best thing about my stay was...The rooms and the view.

If you like people watching....
David Hamilton, Bedford
If you like people watching then this hotel is for you! Very Spanish resort and a very Spanish hotel, but a very pleasant place to stay as all amenities are so close by. A good range of frienldy bars and eateries, a fantastic beach and a good pool. During my stay I saw an excellent Jeremy Spake lookalike, the guy in the restaurant looks like the ex Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva. There was a guy there who looked like some time travelling time lord, and we even met a man with no belly button (Trust me, I have photgraphic evidence!!) so in terms of entertainment, whilst everything that went on was geared and catered for the Spanish tourist, you really can make your own entertainment, if only at the expense of others! (Sorry, but it had to be done!! ;o) ) A trip to the Desert and Fort Bravo is advisable, even if it is a little hot, and again all entertainment is for the Spanish! A great time was had, and although I have a policy of never returning to a resort due to the fact that there are so many places in the world to visit, I would recommend Mojacar and the Indalo!

An hours drive from the airport so if your not getting a car then concider the cost of a taxi as it will be a lot.I used resort hoppa bus which cost £26 per person return which was the cheapest I could find.It was a shared minibus that met us from the airport, check it out at resorthoppa.com they go to most destinations not just Almeria. The hotel boasts an excellent position overlooking the sandy beach with only a road seperating the two, backed by mountains. Its very 1970s inside, both public areas and bedrooms are due for a refurb but the place is kept very clean and tidy so thats the main thing. Dinner seved from 7.30-9.30,quite late if you have small children so beware. You need to arrive at 7.30 as at 8pm the place is overun by the spanish 'mundo senior' guests(a spanish version of saga holidays)all buzzing around the buffett with no chance of getting any where near.Food was good quality but very repetative, virtually the same thing every night with little variation, although what there was, was always well cooked and everything was replenished and never left to run out.Although at breakfast they were not quite so efficient. breakfast was served from 8-10 but after 9.30 nothing was replaced and the pancakes and eggs were closed up, so arrive early.Entertainment was terrible, all in spanish and geared up for the derby and jones club of Spain(waltzing ect).Nothing at all for the under 60s.There are a few bars a couple of minutes from the hotel mailnly english which suprised me.Rusty nail if you want football and English bottled drinks cider ect, draught beer a bit naff though. For a great English breakfast try the bar with the blue awning thingy about 5 doors down ,cant think what its called but serves breakfast until 12, full english for 4 euros great. once your fed up with the hotel breakfast give it a try. Also chinese nearby very good. We went in May 2008,unfortunately it did rain 5 days out of 7 but this is something obviously beyond any ones control and hasnt affected my review. They have a jaccuzi round the back and A pool plus a kiddies pool but we didnt try these out as they were too cold and we didnt have the weather they also have small play area with swing and slide for the kids plus there is a big slide on the beach opposite. All in all it was good for the money but dont expect the ritz.you get what you pay for at the end of the day.O yes and you can get on line in the reception area 15 min for 1 euro they have 2 pc's.
