8/10 Great

Very clean and comfortable

I have to say that I have read some previous poor reviews on this hotel and was expecting a mixed expectation when we arrived. However we were very pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend this hotel. It definetely met our needs. And has the most comfortable bed.

The best thing about my stay was...

The room was excellent

Great value hotel.

My wife and I have just spent 5 nights in the Atos and it has been a most comfortable and enjoyable experience. I liked the old fashioned look of the place whenever I went through the front door. All the staff that I came in contact with during my stay were very helpful and friendly. My room was on the second floor, a good size, with a very comfortable bed, safe, tv, decent sized en-suite, and it was very quiet. The room was always pleasantly warm. Although the advert for the hotel had stated that a kettle would be provided, this wasn’t the case even though I enquired at reception. Another small point is that the liquid soap dispensers left a bit to be desired and I also found that I was too hot in bed. I didn’t try to open a window as I thought that traffic noise might be disturbing, but it might be a good idea to remove the duvet from it’s cover and just use the quilt cover. I was very pleasantly surprised by the breakfasts having read some reviews. There were cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, lovely bread, scrambled eggs, beans, sausages, jams, cheese and cold meats and salad type selections. The variety changed every morning, with porridge, semolina, bread pudding and everything was very tasty. The hotel is ideally situated within a short walk of restaurants, shops, the funicular railway up to the Petrin Tower and the river with the famous Charles Bridge and the other bridges over to the Old Town. We have stayed in far more expensive hotels and not had the level of comfort offered by the Atos.

The best thing about my stay was...

Probably the breakfasts!

My 40th Birthday present- solo trip to Prague

Ok, the title may sound mad, but after spending my 40th in Dom Rep. Prague was a "I want", and to say it was the best I want there was. The hotel, the design of the hotel was in keeping with the neighbouring building, and the beauty just followed through. Upon arriving at reception, I was greeted with a big smile, a lovely pleasant welcome. I had booked a double room, and I was very impressed, very high ceilings, added to the grandure feel of the hotel. The bathroom had a lovely corner walk in shower, very roomy bathroom, plenty of room in the bedroom, 2 windows, good view of buildings. All the employees that I met at the hotel, couldn't been any nicer, everyone was so helpful, the reception staff took time to explain about the tram system, where to visit, what to do. For some people that may feel as a why did they write that, I'm a disabled traveller on crutches, and having someone explain about suitability of locations, offer assistance with bags, it was like being home from home, as for 3 star rating, to me it should be minimum 4 star. The breakfast was a buffet service, serving a selection of cold meats, cheese, rolls, bread, cereals, yogurts, there was something for everyone there. I spent 5 nights at the hotel, and definately intend to return there. I really can not rate this hotel highly enough. The hotel is located in lesser town, and is approximately 10-15mins away from castle, and is central to all tourist areas, there is a tram stop just outside the hotel.

The best thing about my stay was...

The friendliness of the staff, the location of the hotel.

Great time in Prague

Hotel Atos is about half a mile from Charles Bridge and has a tram stop outside that gives great service to the Castle area and Old Town. Tram tickets are sold at reception. The tram is great value. The hotel itself is about 5 floors high and frorms part of a residential street. It is quite basic but is clean though the odd smoker has at sometime been in the rooms. The rooms are quite small but are quite adequate. There is a fridge in the rooms, TV has CNN, and the bathroom was pretty good. You can hear some tram noise at night but it isn't too bad. Breakfast is a buffet. It is quite basic but I had fruit and yoghurt, cereals, and then scambled eggs and sausage. I filled up on breakfast but this isn't an all singing loads of choice breakfast. The hotel is a value hotel. We paid just under £40 for city centre B+B. Good value. There is a restaurant next door but the Olympia bar two streets north a bit nearer to the river than the hotel) does great food and beer.

The best thing about my stay was...

Great atmosphere in the city. Loved it.
