Could not be faulted!
J Dunn, Preston
We booked 5 rooms at the hotel as we are a party of 6 ladies who have holidayed every year for the past 12 years. Upon arrival we were allocated our rooms quickly by Miguel on reception. The 4 single rooms we had were basic but with solid furniture, comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, all extremely clean. We had booked half board as the price difference between bed and breakfast and half board was only £20! We had not expected the food to be impressive but it was, we had planned to eat out every other night but the food was amazing with so much choice and really tasty not like the usual buffet you would get in a 3 star hotel we ate in every night. The staff are absolutely amazing they work tirelessly to ensure you have a great holiday and will do their utmost to meet your requirements and a laugh with them. The view from the Patio at the front of the hotel a fantastic, sun, sea and mountains I could never tire of it. The main port area is about a 15-20 min walk at night and a bit longer during the day when it was hot. We will return to this hotel and would heartily recommend.
The best thing about my stay was...Excellent Staff and location

Fantastic fourth time at this hotel and will be back again. Straight across from beach. Staff helpful and very friendly. Hotel traditional in style and spotlessly clean. Very relaxing. Views from balcony amazing.

Hotel very clean, daily change of towels. Hotel staff were excellent, especially the receptionist who went out of her way to help us. Beach across the road beautiful white sand . Would certainly stay in this hotel again
The best thing about my stay was...Beach location and the weather

No hot water
If you want a hot shower when you come back from the beach, make sure its before 6pm,after this time it will be cold and on one occasion there was no water whatsoever. You could not flush the toilet too.Its not on that you save hard for a holiday and don't receive a hot shower or even a warm one. Some people had been to this hotel many times and experienced the lack of hot water. Its time this is sorted out.Rooms are very basic and need updating. Very pleasant and hard working staff keep the place going.

Very pleasant stay
Apart from finding that we were not booked into a sea view room, as booked with Alpha, we had a very enjoyable few days at the hotel. Our room was at the back and dark, but bathroom, with only a bath shower, was clean. Friendly staff who provided a good service throughout. Would visit again but with a better room.
The best thing about my stay was...Close to beach and shops

Not what we hoped for
Mr sands, Midlands
We have just returned from pollentia hotel. We booked last minute and paid on the day of travel we ended up paying it turns out the bill on the day of departure which meant we ended up paying more as the exchange rate had changed.. Be careful! We also, paided extra for sea view, which we did get but the smallest room with no balcony and very cheap furniture. No what we expected at all. Most of the staff were not the happiest! We found a receptionist and waitress to smile but that was about it. It is a hotel catering for the older clientele which is fine but not for families. It was quiet which we wanted and yes the alfresco dining is great as you look at the beach front.
The best thing about my stay was...The views are nice, a good location.

Nice hotel, great position opposite beach. Can eat breakfast and dinner alfresco whilst admiring views. Have stayed before but was a bit disappointed with our room this time. We requested a sea view which we got, but it was a side view and the way the room was set out (the patio doors were to the side) it made the room quite dark. We asked for a change of room, but were told the hotel was full. Fair enough, but guests were leaving all the time and I am sure they could have moved us, but anyway we left it at that. Would request that we did not have a side view room again. If you have mobility issues I would not recommend this hotel as there are a lot of steps upon entering the hotel and I am not aware of any disabled access. Also it is a fair walk into the town centre.
The best thing about my stay was...Position of hotel

MARMITE....you either love it or hate it!
Paul Dadds, Weymouth, Dorset
This hotel is great if you are over 65, go full board and not fussy about what you eat (ie tinned veg) and don't need a shower too often (because they blow hot and cold all the time) and are hard of hearing (because the walls are so thin you can hear everything in next doors bathroom, and I mean everything) and book up to a year in advance so you can pay the extra £100 each to get a room with a beach view (preferably with a balcony and not get shoved round the back overlooking the kitchens and bins, which are emptied at 7:30 every morning including the bottle recycling bin and the small swampy area where the mosquitos live because the Alpharooms blurb is misleading). There is no fridge or kettle or much storage space. The friendliest members of staff were the least paid (ie cleaning /waitressing) The Polentia certainly does live up to its nickname of 'God's Waiting Room'. I would not recommend this hotel to the under 60s and certainly not families. There are many people who love this hotel and are repeat visitors but NOT us.
The best thing about my stay was...Laundry changed every day.

Nice location, good for couples
Peaceful hotel, old style - some of the floor tiles in our room needed renewing. The food was ok, wonderful salads, sometimes the main course left a bit to be desired. (Potatoes need to cooked!) The boiler broke twice whilst we were there so no hot water, but they did fix it quite quickly The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. There are lots of steps and I wouldn't take children there as there isn't anything for them to do. This hotel is ideal for older couples.
The best thing about my stay was...The location - right opposite the beach

lovely first holiday with new grandson
Would not really describe this hotel as a family hotel but the service we received was excellent. We travelled with a 4 month old baby and all the staff were very accommodating to his needs. Anything we asked for we got and with a smile. Rooms were of a good size and well serviced. Food was very good, not cordon bleu, but more than adequate. Breakfast was particularly good with a wide variety of choice. Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. Service to clear used dishes from the table after the meal was very slow at times but this is the only issues we had which was negligible.
The best thing about my stay was...Enjoyed sitting on the verandah enjoying the fabulous view and the general ambience of the hotel.

On arrival at the hotel it was clean and very grand and staff were welcoming. Room was clean and tidy, but a little dated and small. We had a very relaxing 4 days at the hotel, breakfast was very good excellent choice. The main asset of the hotel was the pool and location. To sit and have breakfast looking at the lovely beach and sea you cannot get any better.
The best thing about my stay was...Location and pool

lovely hotel in superb location
We stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon and were delighted with the hotel and its location. The public areas are beautiful, very Mallorcan in style and nice and cool. The breakfast is the best offer we have had in similar rated hotels and the location was perfect for us, opposite the beach and a short stroll to the busy harbour. The veranda was great for an evening drink and the reception staff were very helpful.

much needed break
Fantastic position; immediately opposite a beautiful beach. Road between the hotel and beach is busy but there are plenty of crossings. We love the look of the hotel; very traditional spanish style entrance. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The buffet breakfast and dinner are amazing! Rooms at the front of the hotel have a balcony but face a main road and can be a bit noisy especially at night. Men are not allowed in the restaurant, for dinner, unless wearing long trousers which we did not know until we arrived. This seems a little strange given that there is no dress code for ladies. We've stayed at the Pollentia twice and would recommend it to anyone. Take your own hairdryer as they are not supplied, there are a limited number for loan and return.
The best thing about my stay was...The balconey overlooking the sea and the buffet breakfast and dinner.

This hotel is only 3 star because of the way they grade hotels on what it's got ie tennis courts spa etc but you will not beat it on charm service and location the food great and beach is really 50mtrs away rooms could do with refurb but nice and clean no fridge in room which would have been nice. The staff cannot do enough for you, have stayed in 5 star before and the staff at the pollentia knock spots off them. If you can get room with balcony it's a big plus as you overlook beautiful beach and promenade. You won't be disappointed if its real majorcan charm you are after.

5th time to hotel-Weather perfect, Perfect Resort, Hotel position perfect
Keith Cullum, Bewdley
Because we have travelled to the hotel before, we know there is a gamble for us on the room (sea view always) asking for a double bed. If we could nominate our room (108/208) then it would be perfect, but they never offer this facility. This year we had lovely view right at the top but room 402 was very small with an oversized patio. In short the hotel to us is looking tired and not much would keep its charm but bringing to match minimum standards of other hotels. Basics as a mini fridge and tea making facilities should be added then major upgrades to bathrooms etc. Finally the staff do their best considering the hotel was full but operating on 2 less staff than last year. waiting on service was poor this year, but not through a fault of attitude to their guests, just not enough cover. We will be back again to the resort next summer 2013, but may be elsewhere unless we know of an upgrade like they have done to their sister hotel Uyual.
The best thing about my stay was...Hotel Position and of course the weather. The resort is perfect for us.

Return to very happy times.
Doreen Hopwood, Droitwich Worcs
After staying at the Hotel Pollentia on two previous occations we thought we would return in the hope that it would still be the same very Mallorcan Hotel. Im very happy to say we were not dissapointed, everything was as it should be, clean fresh comfortable, the staff were all pleasant and helpful, and the food was very good.
The best thing about my stay was...everything

Pollentia - a lovely hotel!
Thomas Stenhouse, Mid Calder
We stayed at the Pollentia Hotel in Puerto Pollensa for a week in May 2012. The hotel is very impressive-looking with a colonial feel and has great "kerb appeal" - many tourists stop to look at the hotel and take pictures. This hotel is spotless, the staff very friendly and accommodating. If you have a seafront room, the view of the bay is spectacular! It is near to the marina and the centre of the town where you can enjoy a gentle stroll after dinner. We really enjoyed our stay.
The best thing about my stay was...Position of the hotel on the front of the resort.
