AVOID

By far the worst holiday we have ever been on! Come back more stressed than when we went away! Plane journey easy jet with a different name on the plane, very poor. Expensive cheap nasty food and drink££££££ Dirty rooms, torn and ripped sheets. Dust over everything. Paint on tiles on floor in bath room. Pubic hairs in toilet!!! Discusting! Rust on shower and taps etc. not all lights working. Train woke us up every 15mins!!! WARNING Parents please note: no proper lock on door! If handle is pulled down it unlocks, our two year old managed to open door and run down corridor to lift in 30secs!!!!! Fortunately the lifts take forever to come up or down to your floor so he did not have time to get in. Food is worse than microwave meals. We were given a time slot to eat!!!! And had to queue for that too for 20mins!!!! We had to eat out most days costing a small fortune. Children not being supervised and licking food and putting back for others to un knowingly consume. Extremely dirty plates, have to search for clean one!!!! Most food swimming in fat/oil!!! Mexican is un edible!!! Avoid! Swimming pools very very cold, unable to use! Also the pirate ship is only for older children , but we were never informed of this! You have to walk long way to this!!! Indoor pool you must wear hats which cost 2£ each, and only kids in morning! Gym is a joke! Not serviced and fixed with nails and gaffer tape ! Sauna has to be booked! And ££££££££ 20 min walk over to lunch and to children's pools over steep ramped bridge and through maze of corridors and another slow lift. Entertainment very poor, bingo and rubbish kids games. Busses every 30 mins but most do not stop and are not always on time! Extremely dark and dingey! Does not cater if it rains! Reps un helpfull and did not take us seriously!!! Judge you and tell you it's ok for the type of people they get here! !!! Have complained and compensation is and insult!!!! Not all problems listed, as I could go on forever!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

The best thing about my stay was...

Coming home!

5 Day Stay

Upon arrival i was told that my room was double booked and i was being put into the Polynesia hotel within the resort, i was very unhappy about this as i already had family staying in the Village hotel and i would have to walk up the hill at night by myself with young children i stressed this to the hotel but got nowhere, the Polynesia hotel was beautiful but it wasn't what i booked, i was told i could use the facilities of the Village hotel to be with my family but the pool closed at 6 and the shuttle bus finished between the 2 hotels at 6 aswell and with tempetures reaching late 30's early 40's the kids were very unhappy - the entertainment didn't seem great so we went out every night but in saying that the first choice reps were lovely - the bus outside the hotel was great value and would take you to both Benalmadena & Fuengirola - i would recommend the Polynesia as it is a really beautiful hotel but i was very disappointed with the way i was treated

Pools nice, rooms 2 star Food gave us gastro.

We stayed at this hotel start of June. The hotel is lovely but the rooms defenitely not more than 2 star. The Pools are the only reason to stay at this hotel. We were given a room on the ground floor which had very strong fumes coming into the room and this caused my kids to get an asthma attack. A railyway track ran a few 100 yards outside the room , with no view.we complained but had no Joy. If you book from this site and dont pay the going price dont think you have a bargain, as the managedment will give you the worst room in the whole hotel (ie those they dont normally rent out). We decided to go all inclusive as we were offered 10 euro discount sso it worked out to 40 euro per person per day ontop of the hotel room booking. The food honestly was the worst you can imagine. Infact look looked quite nice but the problem was either it was overcooked or tasted about a week old. Infact the hotel has a very big reputation for causing Food poisoining for its gusests, hence the discount offered to upgrade to allinclusive on the day. Overall it was a very nice hotel , but such a shame about the food. If i could recommend one thing they should SACK their chefs and get some decent cooks in, then this hotel would deffenitely be highly recommended. The drinks were plentifull, staff were absolutely great and the hotels cleaniness would bet 7/10. Would i go back, Yes Would i get all inclusive yes, but i would be very careful what i eat as this hotel is not designed to be for self catering very limited cooking utensil (rust on the pans, 1 fork 1 knife , )no kettle. Very expensive to buy food if not all inclsive. Hope this helped

Fantastic Hotel

Hotel was fantastic!!! The only problem was the pool's closed at 6pm!! which was abit poor considering it was still very hot outside! Went Room only basis but we decided to eat at the hotel one night (buffet) food was not nice at all!!! one of our family members ended up spending the day in bed because of the food! But apart from that it was all good.. staff very friendly and helpful and rooms very spacious! would def go again! but def eat out! :)

volcanic ash disruption

I booked us 1 night at this hotel as our flight was cancelled. But i have to say the room was brilliant.large comfortable room .big big beds.lovely patio.. For me the self catering aspect was very poor..poorly equipped kitchen. i had to request a kettle.lack of kitchen cutlery was not enough to cater for the size of apartment..if i was staying for a week etc.i would have to go to reception and request many things..but for just 1 night it was ok.If you can afford to go all inclusive it is brilliant.as a self catering guest 1 pint of san miguel is 3.5.euro,s so very costly.Best thing if you stay there self catering ..stock your fridge with wine and beer and eat out in the local area.On a bus route to either malaga/benalmadena/fueingerola..lots of choices. For what i paid for the night it made a great base and i enjoyed the faciltys...

holiday May 2010

Booked a last minute deal in May 2010, so didn't expect much! Hotel was fantastic. Staff were organised, friendly, helpful. The room was large, clean and well maintained with good facilities - ie., a lounge area with tele, dining table and chairs, small kitchen. large bedroom with 2 doublebeds and a lovely large bathroom, which consisted of a bath with a shower and a separate shower, two basin, toilet etc. The meals were great. The hotel itself is beautiful and has lots of facilities.ie., shop, bars, laundry room, spa, gym, cyber cafe, childrens clubs, room to watch sport in, etc. Would go again. Fantastic water park adjacent to hotel, which was free to residents. Close to beach. On a bus route. Only draw back was that it wasn't really within easy walking distrance of local shops and bars. Don't know how much the taxi fares were, but travelling by bus was cheap. I should imagine this place is ideal for young families. I went with my 19 year old daughter - not her sort of place i think!!!!!!
